One could argue he had that opportunity at Barnet when they made him manager. Not sure what happened there though.

Course you can Johnny - doesn't mean we have to agree on the subject. I am all for freedom of speech.

He got another injury, ankle I believe. Went to a specialist in London but I think is now back in training.

Did your ex that sewed it also INVENT the sewing machine ?

In that diamond formation Pete, Mendes should be the attacking mid, not Ferguson !

Couldn't disagree more. We all love Gazza but if any of us think that he hasnt had plenty of offers of help then we are in an alternate world. FFS, even the wife he beat up has tried to help him - sorry but there are many, many people who have extended the hand of help to Gazza and he has, ultimately, not taken any of them. Unless of course by "needing more help" you mean he needs to help himself because, as Pete says, only Gazza can help Gazza now.

Hilarious - I couldnt get where you were going with your "if my granny had baws" statement in response to BD..... I guess the mystery is over

4/1 Zenit is a great price !

This has been debated ad nauseum but a 4-5-1 works very well with the right players. It is only a 4-5-1 when not in possession but a 4-3-3 with the proper personnel. A central midfield of Mendes, Fergie and Thomson is appealing and then with 2 wide players such as Beasley/Aaron and Novo/AN Other would actually work really well. I would give Mendes more of a free role and have Fergie and Thomson doing the sweeping. I don't think 4-5-1 is as defensive as it appears. That said - the problem then becomes the "1" - we don't have anyone who seems natural for that role (not since Cousin left). So maybe 4-4-2 is the right way to go but we sure have plenty of options these days, far more than we had last season

Just ask Jon and he will be able to tell you what it was like..... On topic - those pictures are fantastic !

That one is BD - she has a HUGE bubblebutt ! No thanks - and you shouldnt be putting images of Gribz's boyfriends on here :fish:
-
thanks Chelsea......
-
so nerve-wracking stuff then ?
-
deserved yellow IMO
-
West Brom up 3-2 now so you would have been screwed anyway.
-
I have a wee treble - Brum, Arsenal and Chelsea.

That isnt what you said... you said "he is shite" - shite and goals dont necessarily have a correlation. Back on topic before Jon turns it into yet ANOTHER Boyd thread.....This will be a BIG win in my opinion if we can get it. Celtic about an hour ago would have been creaming their pants with us down at HT after them winning. This shows we have the determination and will to dig results out when needed. But seems we have had plenty of chances too, that right ?
-
Yes he is, correct :fish:

Is McGhee trying to gift them 3 points so they can stay in touch with us ? 4-0 at HT - shocking.

To start with, cracking thing to be debating ! As succinctly as possible, leaving the tax regime behind and leaving the weather behind can't in my opinion make me less patriotic to my country. Does everyone that live at home like the high tax rates ? NO - the only difference between them and me (and Gribz and countless other ex-pats) is that we chose to escape it. I don't see how that makes us less loving to our country. And as for loyalty I doubt that many would refuse to trade the tax rates in the UK for abroad. I don't think that people are "loyal" to the tax rate, they suffer it. The same could be said for many of the other complaints I made. But it doesn't make any of us less patriotic simply because we aren't living there. I will always be Scottish, will always be proud of it, proud of the heritage, proud of our forefathers, ancestors and the history of our very proud nation. I for one simply don't see the correlation that one has to be present in the country to be patriotic. The logic of that argument is beyond me, sorry ! And as for the Billy Connolly and Connery comments, I couldn't agree more. In actual fact I have taken the stance to NOT vote in elections whilst residing outside te country as I don't feel right trying to select a government that, right now doesn't govern me ! And Tannochside - no worries, I understand you aren't having a go at my choice to live here - as I said, this is a good topic of debate.

I actually think Mendes is a better player. If WS keeps the same formation them BF could be fighting Mendes for a spot, unless WS sees Fergie in the same mould as Thomson and then it will be KT vs BF. Obviously the other option is to change the formation and I would be tempted to do this as a midfield with all 3 above mentioned would be exciting. Maybe the 4-5-1/4-3-3 would be best with those 3 as CM and two wide players. It is both interesting and encouraging though to actually have options in midfield - it isn't long ago that we had NONE !!!

Without having read the full thread (so apologies in advance) but can you tell me just why being an ex-pat means you can not be as patriotic as someone who lives in the uk ? Define patriotic for me - patriotic to who ? UK or Scotland or both ? I resent that you can assume that by being ex-pats we are less patriotic (if that is what is being suggested - again, on blackberry and haven't read the full thread). I am staunchly Scottish and British, always have been but does that mean that I have to suffer shitty weather, high taxes, ineffective government, poor public services ? Does it make me less patriotic because I choose to live abroad ? Living abroad does not necessarily mean that people have a distaste for their country, there are a multitude of reasons that people leave the UK and it doesn't have to mean that they are not patriotic. I look forward to your enlightenment because, for the life of me, I just don't see the connection.

His contract is up at the end of this season - so he should at least be motivated.
