  1. I don't get that attitude. Are all fans the same? No. Work and finances don't stop me going to watch Scotland. I just don't care enough. I would still classify myself as a fan and want them to win, but when they lose, I've forgotten about it in 5 minutes. There is not the same highs and lows as there is in following Rangers. I'm a far bigger Rangers fan than I am a Scotland fan, and I don't have a problem in saying that. The guys who get much more involved with the Scotland team, either by spending time going to see the games and being more emotional are bigger fans than me. Likewise the guy whose only involvement with Rangers is switching on the TV at 5pm each Saturday and hoping that they have won are not as big fans as the guys like us who live and breathe it each day or the ones who go home and away each week.
  2. Tanner started to ask him about the change from Friday night with playing Miller but didn't get his question out before Levein rudely interupting him and said he wouldn't talk about Friday night. He started to ask the question in a different way and the same thing happened. He then just asked if Miiller brought something different to the team (or something similar) and Levein walked away. Very childish to what was a very valid question.
  3. Levein knows he cocked up badly against the Czechs. It's no excuse for acting like a big wean tonight and walking out of the interview after the game. He should remember that he's national team manager and has a responsibility now. He's gone down in my estimation a lot over the past week.
  4. Does it make him more Scottish than you? Definitely not. Does it make him a bigger fan of the Scottish national football side? Probably, but so what.
  5. I can't make the Valencia game either as I'm out of the country. I've given my ticket to the guy I sit beside who wants to take his wife to the game.
  6. Buy the 2 match package and only want to go to the Man Utd game?
  7. I find a minute's applause offensive. It's offensive when Rangers ask their fans to do it following the death of a player but it's much more offensive when anyone is asked to do it on Remembrance Sunday. It should not be allowed. We should not be pandering to scum. If a club can't guarantee a minute's silence on that weekend then they should forfeit the game (and that's the minimum). It's not that hard to be a decent human being.
  8. The first sentence and they are failing badly. 1. to be autonomous - they are in no way autonomnous. they are still receiving their grant from the club, as far as I know, and do they come out and heavily criticise the club? The bit on their site about the TBB and TFS is a joke and their is no attempt by them to put either song in context. There is so much that they do that they are told to by the club and despite some noises a year ago abou attempting to do so they have failed badly in this respect. 2. to represent all Rangers fans - their primary membership are supporters clubs and there are 18 out of 22 on their committee that represent supporters clubs or supporters club organisations. They do not represent season ticket holder, for example.
  9. It's funny that the meeting hasn't taken place yet but the press know the decision already.
  10. I'm being targeted.
  11. I presume therefore that the worst thing about it was involving the pope. I guess it's not a problem to run over prodies (sic) as long as it's not the pope that does it.
  12. I'm speechless.
  13. Hutton's form was poor at the start of that season (he was a bit of a whipping boy at that point) and PLG could not be blamed for giving Bardsley a game at that point. Bardsley only started 7 games for us over an 8 week period so I don't see that his inclusion had much of an impact on Hutton. Bardsley did have some good performances during his 7 games IIRC. Hearts and Aberdeen spring to mind, although I was in hospitality for the Aberdeen game. I don't recall Hutton hitting much form under PLG even though he played in a majority of games under him, but he seemed a different man as soon as Walter reappeared.
  14. Hutton's form at that point didn't warrant him a place in front of Bardsley
  15. The P&J were initially the only ones to report the Letterkenny singing shame with Hartson and Pearson. They shamed the rest of the press into reporting it.
  16. The club are not showing a good example to their young supporters by not publicising the punishment and not insisting on an apology. I guess by allowing Diamond to remain as captain they condone the behaviour. I wonder what their non-RC team-mates make of it all?
  17. and the guy who knocks over someone when driving at 90mph in a 30 mph speed limit has no intention of doing it, but it doesn't absolve him of total blame.
  18. Good to see Fat Eck is alive and well.
  19. So how can he feature it in his report if it didn't warrent a booking at the time?
  20. I've now read the report. "Hearts believe Steven Naismith's goal celebrations will feature in the report of the match referee and so limit their inevitable punishment from the Scottish Football Association." So did the ref book Naismith?
  21. Goal scorers provoke crowds week-in, week-out. Charlie Adam did the finger to the lips yesterday at Liverpool. It's part of the game and 99 times out of 100 fans don't react like the Hearts fans did.
  22. Yeah, the likes of Cooper had more than his fair share of inconsistent performances.
  23. Why do some bears still buy that rag?
