Boyd would be able to get a sickline any time he fancied a day off.
-
So would Weir be your POTY, Zappa?
-
Naismith started the season well then faded badly during Oct and Nov. Perhaps it is telling that our great run of performances in December was after Naismith dropped out of the team. He needs to show a lot more than 14 minutes on Sunday to convince me that he is due a place in the team.

For agreeing to leave the club so that they could afford to buy Mendes, Davis and Edu, which resulted in us winning the league? I hate to think what state the club would have been in now had he not left.
-
At the time, I thought that it would be sensible to replace Boyd and Naismith was certainly a more obvious choice than Beasley given his ability to tackle, although I hadn't given it any more thought than that.
-
Seemed like a no-brainer to me. Miller is far more mobile than Boyd and unfortunately Boyd had to go.
-
I thought yesterday's was more deserving of a red card than the one at Tynecastle. No complaints about yesterday whereas the Hearts one was harsh, IMO. What one was that? My memory is going.

Bloody great display. Well done to the TBO, and in particular the guys who organised this. Just a shame that BBC Scotland did their usual, and tried to ignore it.
-
Foor me, the big difefrence between the Rangers one and the Man Utd one was that the Man Utd player was actually in control of the ball.
-
Miller through last week against Dundee Utd, with only the keeper to beat. Gets brought down. Chances of scoring if no foul? 90%. Ref gives yellow card Man Utd game yesterday. Valencia running towards goal in control of the ball and gets brought down. Chances of scoring if no foul? 50%. Ref gives yellow card. Cup final, and a high ball over the top, with a St Mirren player running towards a difficult bouncing ball, had not touched it and definitely not in control of it. Chances of scoring if no foul? 5%. Ref gives red card. The inconsistency is very frustrating.

I was in section J (what is now the west stand) that day.
-
30 members of The Blue Order were at Hampden yesterday setting up a card display which covers most of the Rangers end (West stand). Please assist in producing another stunning mosaic to inspire the Rangers onto yet another piece of silverware by holding your card aloft prior to the teams emerging from the tunnel right up until the teams kick off. There will be some banners being held up at the front of the stand with a pro-Rangers message on them, when these banners are held up please hold up your card and request that those around you follow suit. The reason this is asked is that at the last League Cup final the display was over too quickly.

Having met and dealt with N_L, I don't doubt his story for a minute.
-
West stand for me, together with Bluedell Jnr.

Anything that writes should be treated with contempt. He is no friend of ours.

I don't think that the effort/work rate that they have put in is up for question. Foe example, Boyd was crap against Utd, but I wouldn't question his work rate. He just had a bad game.

What players do you have in mind?
-
But not for footballing reasons.

It would be interesting to know how much of a say MIH actually have on the sale. It is possible that MIH have "agreed" a business plan in a similar manner that Rangers have and the business plan could say that Rangers have to be sold if any offer in excess of, say, £30 million is received.

They do have the power to make conditions difficult for any new owner if they come out against the purchase, but yes, they don't have the power to stop it. I still believe that this commitee also has a conflict of interest. Bain and McIntyre's jobs are in doubt. They therefore have a conflcit of interest as to looking at what is best for their own future against that of the club's. They would only be human if they also considered what was besrt for them personally, and therefore cannot give the same degree of independence as Johnston can give.

Rangers 3 : 3 Dundee Utd - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Wilson got caught out a few times, particularly in the first half, and I'd agree with Frankie's assessment of him. He did OK, but he has played far better. -

Seems reasonable to me. Lafferty contributed more in outfield play than Boyd. I'm sure Boyd's points would have been lower if he hadn't scored the pens. Poor performance by him yesterday. However where it differed from poor performances in previous seasons was the level of his work rate, which was OK. -

I'd go for :nn: as MOTM. -
The first penalty was a clearly goalscoring opportunity and the keeper should have walked. No evidence that the keper got the ball, and even if he did, he got the man first. Stonewaller. Boyd was clearly pushed at the second penalty. It doesn't matter whetehr he went to the ground weasily or not. even if he hadn't gone to ground, it was still a penalty. McGregor was fouled before the third goal and it should have been a free-kick to us and not a corner. I'd agree that Miller's goal looked OK, but have not seen it on th TV yet.

There are plenty who fall under the "faceless" category, but N_L is someone who has put his name "out there", unlike some who question his honesty.
