  1. Very well done to all involved in this. Keep us updated, TB.
  2. I fail to see, firstly, the relevence to this thread, and secondly, why our registrars should be issuing press releases about Rangers or Murray.
  3. Why would there be? Rangers are just a client.
  4. It would certainly be helpful if the RST could confirm to its members whether there was any truth to these rumours and where exactly they are with it, rather than us having to rely on different versions appearing in the press.
  5. He failed in the big game against us, and has failed to perform in other games where Celtic have struggled (Killie, St Mirren). The lack of service excuse is laughable. Esplin's credibility disappeared after the whole Spiers issue, and he seems keen (no pun intended) to cement that position.
  6. From today's Herald.
  7. Thanks, PLG. I meant to watch this during the past 3 nights when it was on and forgot.
  8. Expect him to mention celtic in every interview he makes until now and the end of the season, as he did in every interview during his first 2 months at Aberdeen.
  9. The pressure has revealed Mowbray's lack of class and this comment typifies it. Very disrespectful and also delusional on the way that he thinks his team have been playing.
  10. Tom Boyd was interviewed this morning and he said that Mark Hughes may not have enough experience to manage Celtic.
  11. However we did not know when the decision was going to be made, so it could have quite easily resulted in a ban for an extra league game had the decision not been made until after yesterday's game. I'm not criticising him for his midfield selection. It's been argued by others that the reason for last night's forward selection was so tat he can concentrate on the league. You seem to be disagreeing with that assessment by your comment that Thomson is not necessary for the league, so perhaps that is not the reason for his selection after all. Who is criticising him for trying to play Thomson? Again, the issue is about his choice of stikers, and not midfield or defence. I don't know. How many people have argued that Fleck and Little should get played in QF replays away to Dundee Utd? I don't recall seeing anyone. Again, I don't recall anyone saying that Boyd and Miller should be dropped and rested. You may be able to come up with an example of someone saying it, but it still doesn't justify it, as was proven last night. I could come on here and say that Bougherra should not play for the rest of the season, but it's hardly jusification for Walter to do it. I don't think that they look "jaded". Boyd not as fit as he was, perhaps, but I would think more games rather than less would help. Why not play Novo? What's wrong with it? I guess you didn't notice the result of it? Well spotted. You finally got to the point. You're putting words in my mouth. I have never claimed that he set out to deliberately lose a cup tie. Of course he wanted the team that he put out to win. However answer this. Did he put out the team that was best suited to win the game?
  12. How does the song go? "Hang N............"
  13. We weren't short of central midfielders until we sold Mendes in January.
  14. That's certainly a plausible argument to a certain extent, although I can't believe Novo could not have managed to start instead of Little, for example, even if Miller couldn't make it. we have also playd Boyd without Miller on plenty of occasions, and it's difficult to accept that it's the reason that he didn't start. Yeah. I haven't seen him play well for the first team yet and have not been impressed by him, and a QF replay isn't a time to expect him to turn the corner.
  15. I'll refer you back to the OP. Why rest them given the level of games that they haven't played since the start of January? Perhaps I'm looking at things too much in black and white, but again it doesn't stack up that they need rested.
  16. A sub-standard Lee McCulloch.
  17. So why appeal Thomson's red card and risk having him miss a league game instead of a cup game? Why not rest Weir as well? The "league is more important than the cup" argument doesn't really stack up.
  18. But everyone knew that Fleck and Little would get little change out of the Utd defence, so going with them wasn't an option. But he did.
  19. If we are that worried about the league then why are we not resting Weir? He can't have it both ways.
  20. Starting with Little and Fleck up front. Boyd, Miller and Novo on the bench. Not worrying about the Scottish Cup? - Why appeal the Thomson sending off if you want to concentrate on the league? Our players need a rest? - Since the start of January Boyd has missed at least 8 games and Miller 7 games. Novo has hardly been an automatic first choice. I can't see why all 3 need a rest, but are fit enough to be on the bench, and Little requires to be picked in front of all of them. Why not rest the 40 year old who has played every minute of every league game if you think our players need a rest? It does not make any sense to me and perhaps there were non-footballing reasons behind last night's team selection. Was this Walter sending a message that he thinks that the squad is not strong enough and he will not stay if that does not improve? Whatever the reasons, the team selection is baffling and we are left out of the cup, and I'm left down in a morning that I should be feeling other emotions. Angry and bemused loyal.
  21. There's a difference between resting players against Queen of the South and resting them at Tannadice when we have half a team missing. If we were really taking the attitude of resting players, then why was Weir playing?
  22. There's little point trying to debate the merits of a player with people who can't be objective on the subject. As I said elsewhere recently, some need to re-read Luke Chapter 15.
  23. Sorry, but that's a dreadful attitude. Why should we even bother entering anything if we worry about losing? And what makes anyone think that they would beat us? We miss a great day out, a great end to the season and a potential treble. I can accept us losing where we are not the best team, but to surrender is unforgivable.
  24. So why appeal the Thomson red card?
  25. Who gives a f*ck about them? Crap team selection and we got what we deserved. So much for the great fighting spirit of the team, when you don't even give it a chance. The credit that the management team took from Sunday is evened off on tonight's debit.
