In the past circumstance has hindered our youth system where the quick option of flashing the cheque book was opted for rather than taking the time to bring our youngsters through. That has now changed over the last season or two and hopefully the likes of loy and co will have the to develop in the first team. Loys position though is probably the toughest to succeed in though, having to compete with the likes of boyd, miller and Jelovic so far in his career. But we have to stop writing these kids off without giving them a decent chance. Fleck for example has been written off by many but has shown in the last two games hes played that hes more than capable. so dont be to hasty when it comes to judging them.

the performances of the youth players when called up to the squad this season have been a breath of fresh air. Ness, Wylde, Hutton in particular have all shown great promise and have never looked out of place in the first 11. Cole albeit one game and Fleck who performed very well last night against ICT are also in the frame. Thats half a team there. all have proved that they are good enough and ill wager will be contenders for regular places next season. So i hope smith keeps on looking to these boys and the youth squad when he thinks he needs a new player. You only have to look at the money wasted on the likes of lafferty and beattie who have provided scant return for their wages to know that it is a real gamble when you dabble in the transfer market at the level we can afford. These kids given our financial predicament are our future and we should be sticking by them, not buying middle of the road over the hill hasbeens that will give you nothing in return. we have everything we need at Ibrox. Its just sitting there waiting to be tapped, and will save us a fortune in the long run. and there is nothing more satisfiying as a fan than watching someone make it through the ranks. Save your money walter and play as many of theses kids as you can.

given the performances of the youths comming through the ranks why not give another one a chance? These kids like it or not will be filling the team next season so the more game time the better i say. They couldnt do any worse than beattie has so far this season.

yeah his form has dipped dramatically over the last couple of games. but others are stepping up to the plate which is great to see. -
boyd wouldnt be any worse than beattie. that guy brings absolutely nothing to the team.

it was all down to walter smiths tactics at the time. the negativity in our game play dragged the whole team down and devalued the squad. no one shone in the first team, in fact the whole squad looked mediocre.

Rangers 3 : 0 Kilmarnock - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
gisabeer replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
whittakers distribution is bloody terrible. i wouldnt let him over the half way line. though papac, davis and mcculloch had great games and as much as id never thought id say it, lafferty was excellent. -
hes a fucking fool if he goes.

it was a bad day at the office, nothing else. given the way celtic have been going about their business over the last month or two im not really bothered. one swallow does not make a summer and im quite happy for them to believe that they are in fact world beaters again and everything is rosie in their garden. that suits us just fine.
-
I actually had the thought at the game that the kids on the bench couldnt do any worse that the regulars on the field. i have been impressed with all the kids this season and have no qualms about giving them regular starts.
-
no one turned up on sunday. every individual (other than ross) failed to deliver the goods and ultimately imploded in front of our eyes. Our biggest strength this season has been playing as a team but we seemed to be looking for individuals to win us the game. In the end it is only one game and three points. im not getting overly concerned.

do you get to se the game?
-
a tight 2-1. weve conceded in just about every game so far and i dont think it will be any different.

Kenny Miller - Another mercenary or underpaid and undervalued?
gisabeer replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
good in the spl but his misses in the champions league have cost us dear. We need a striker who can cut it in Europe. hope jelavic fills that void.- 27 replies

Youth talent delights Rangers coach Jim Sinclair
gisabeer replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
said at the time fleck came through that he would disappear into obscurity under smith and i expect hutton and wylde to do the same. they simply wont get the game time to progress. i have never known a player to get any better sitting in the dugout. -
i fail to see how you can be fatigued by playing two games of football a week. i work 60 hours a week and am fatigued come the end of the week. bloody lame excuse if you ask me.

Celts fans in poppy ââ?¬Ë?disgraceââ?¬â?¢

a monumental pr disaster for celtic football club. i cant thank the green brigade enough. they have done more damage in one afternoon than the whole rangers support could do (if they wished!) in a lifetime. but the question reamains to be asked, why were the banners allowed into the stadium in the first place? all banners are checked and have to be for health and saftey reasons so Celtic football club new about them before hand. -
went to valencia the last time. Watch your change in the bars as they all try to rip you off. Be very careful in the stadium with the police too, they split you up into groups off 30 or so, surround you and walk you out off the stadium taking pot shots with their batons. other than that i had a good day!

Rangers versus Celtic - What Ought To Be and What Is
gisabeer replied to bmck's topic in Rangers Chat
god only knows where wed be if we actually signed loovens when we wanted to. thats no joke either. There is no room for compacency anywhere at rangers just now and this guy typifies it. had we signed him instead of bougherra it would have been us fighting it out against Bragga in the summer. There would have been no league title and we would be up shit creek with the bank. We really got out of jail when we missed out on him!- 7 replies

difference is we tried to beat them back in those days, home and away. Over cautiosness is the order of the day now im afraid.
-
i was at both legs and have to say that valencia were the best team i have seen. i left ibrox after the home leg knowing that i had watched my team being well beaten by a class act.
-
I hope to hell we turn in a performance like that next week instead of sitting on our 18 yard box defending for dear life. time for walter to start letting the lion out of the cage for the big games. Our form is of such that we need to fear no one. Not valencia and certainly not celtic.
