  1. The Wilson story states that the Sarver bid was made "just after Christmas", but we don't know exactly when that was yet. Not that I'd like to give Somers any credit (or even benefit of the doubt), but for all we know, Sarver might actually have been the recipient of one of the Somers emails.
  2. My general knowledge always takes a pounding (this is NOT a gay reference!) when I read your pieces Andy. Thank goodness for search engines!
  3. Plenty folk get bevvied before the game anyway, so it really wouldn't make much difference, plus the price of a pint in a plastic cup from a concourse kiosk would probably be about 5 or 6 quid, so it might not be very popular.
  4. One of the official attendances recently was about 28k when there was actually only about 16k at the game, but I don't think the difference was quite as big yesterday, as it looked (and felt) a fair bit busier. If I was taking a guess, I'd say there was maybe somewhere between 21k & 23k at the game, but as you say, it's very difficult to guess these things when you can't see all of the stands and sections.
  5. No worries guys, I actually don't mind going to matches on my own, so it's no big deal. It backfired on my brother big time because he was meant to be coming to the match, but ended up having to work, then called in sick and couldn't get a stream!
  6. That's an excellent statement. "Ally McCoist, Walter Smith and Malcolm Murray". Are these guys are backing the Trust with their shareholdings or proxy votes?
  7. I completely agree with some of these points, but disagree with your comments on RF because despite the fact that I don't subscribe to it personally, I do think it's a venture/initiative started by people with good intentions. I also think the comment about the Louden tills is a bit daft because they run a VERY busy pub which would be busy no matter whether they were involved in the RF initiative or not. Not only that, but Louden family such as Greg who's a Gersnet member is also an RST member IIRC. Despite the ex-RST connections, I think RF was probably just born from a knowledge that something completely fresh (and basically an alternative) might be a good idea.
  8. My brother's ticket went to waste and I sat on my own.
  9. Don't forget to post your predictions for the game at Ibrox today! Do it here - Predictions for Rangers v Dumbarton - SPFL Championship match 19 (GPL game 29)
  10. Don't forget to post your predictions for the Dumbarton game at Ibrox any time between now and kick-off tomorrow! Do it here - Predictions for Rangers v Dumbarton - SPFL Championship match 19 (GPL game 29)
  11. Quit the personal tit for tat nonsense please guys, seriously.
  12. It's quite late in the day to offer this, but we have a free SE1 ticket on offer for tomorrow's game. If anyone wants it and can meet up at Ibrox tomorrow at 1:30pm, just send me a PM telling me the name of the referee for tomorrow's game and I'll randomly pick a winner and get back to you tonight.
  13. It was before I was born, but I know my parents were friends with one of the men who died, Peter Wright and friends with his family too. He was coming down the stairs with his young boy on his shoulders and luckily managed to save his son's life by throwing him to safety.
  14. I'd like to propose a wee virtual toast in honour of loved ones lost, absent friends and also in honour of the Rangers men and women who've chosen this special second day of 2015 to mark starting to put an end to our great Club being owned and run by shysters! Cheers!
  15. The Gospel according to Bill involves a book of blank pages, a pencil and a rubber. The rubber gets used A LOT.
  16. Emotions are running very high, so a degree of over-excitement is to be expected. Let's not lower ourselves (that means anyone here) to being nasty though.
  17. I think Rab perhaps has a rather twisted since of humour.
  18. No, they just need submit EGM requisitions for boardroom changes and then the current regime need to address the boardroom changes via negotiations instead of taking on the cost (and now risk) of an EGM (or multiple EGMs).
  19. Just thinking the same here. Looks like the bottle of whiskey will be coming back out of the cupboard so that we can toast the King, Taylor, Park & Letham families and all those helping them.
  20. Officially confirmed on the market - http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/12202893.html
