That's ridiculous, surely all members should at least have been made aware that the meeting was to take place, so they could input questions?

That would appear to suggest that the Club Board do not trust certain members of the RFB to maintain confidentiality. Leaving aside Gary Gillan, Robert Callaghan and Tom Johnston who are out of this country, that would appear to tarr all the others with the same brush.

rbr is 100% correct about this, as recorded in the Minutes of the Meeting of 4 March 2014. RA went through the benefits of a CIC (see previous Minutes); highlighting the first target as 5% of shares in Rangers International FC (the right to call an EGM) and that the purpose was: TRANSPARENCY, AUTHORITY & CONSULTATION. If this was not achieved with a 5% share holding, then the CIC would keep buying shares until the purpose could not be ignored. So there was never any intention that RF would be a political group, in fact it was stated on numerous occasions that it would be apolitical.. As far as I am concerned, as a member, RF is doing what it says or working towards doing what it says in its aims and doing it very well as 6,370 contributing members attest. Note for Hildy: The above should not be seen as denigrating the RST/BR in any way, it is simply a comment that personally I am happy that the RFB made a statement because one of its objectives is to represent the views of the fans and RF did not because that is not one of its aims or objectives (at least not until it has gained a sufficient shareholding to be influential).

ACD stated on RM that it was unanimous amongst the majority of the Board who replied to the relevant email. I took that to mean that at least 6 of the 11 had replied and all 6 or however many it was were in favour of the Motion?

Thinking about this a bit more, it seems a bit Machiavellian to me. It's hard to see the Board climbing down, though they may issue a conciliatory statement or invite the RFB to a special meeting or something like that but most likely, they will remove the entire board (because whatever I was alleged to have done this must be seen as much worse), disband the RFB altogther or just do nothing, which would leave the RFB Members with only one option. So perhaps that is indeed their intended course (it's hard to believe it wasn't considered) and they just want to give the Board a last chance or the opportunity to do it for them. I think they know what they should have done when I was removed (albeit some of them had a hand in it) but I still applaud this course of action.

Not comfortable that my real initials are being used in this way. ASH aka BH.

I would congratulate the RFB for an excellent Statement though "lack of communication" might have been better than "very little comunication" and the last sentence of the Explanation could have been worded a little better. One assumes that the statement has been sent to the CEO and will make headline news tomorrow. If the Board do not begin meaningful discussions with the RFB as a result, that allows them to fulfil their functions of "providing a platform for supporters to communicate directly with key Club staff in a structured manner" and "Allow supporters to better understand the Club’s decision-making process on key issues " then they only have one option, namely to resign en masse.

The floating charge is a big worry to me because, whilst it doesn't specifically cover Ibrox at the moment (unlike the fixed charges) it would cover all the company's assets if the loan was not repaid, so it would cover Ibrox at that point in time. It would also cover things like trade stock and in fact any "assets" of the company. It's the widest form of security available over a company's assets, so benefits the creditor. The benefit to the company is that we can use the stadium, without asking permission!

Yes, I was wondering about that and had a sentence in my last post but took it out as I don't know the answer. In theory it could go on ad finitum, the first two get voted off, then two new ones are nominated....................................

As far as I can see in the short term (Tranche #1) all that has happened is that we now have £2m to cover us for maybe a month or two at the most subject to other income, LC Semi etc. Longer term (Tranche #2) we have given up a proportion of rights to shirt sponsorship and retail income; I wonder if any other Club has done the same? At least we know that Murray Park won't be sold unless we can't repay Tranche #2 in due course.

Wouldn't think so. If the MASH loan is repaid the existing agreement to appoint two directors would fall, so is replaced in the new agreement.

Rangers: Rino Gattuso wants return to Ibrox as manager
BrahimHemdani replied to beerjim's topic in Rangers Chat
Walter frequently played 4-5-1 or even 5-4-1 (as at Manchester); we may need to go with that on Sunday. I am fairly sure that Smith will start and I think there's a good chance that Black will be brought back in in place of a striker. I don't fancy Aird and Smith as our wide men either, well not Smith anyway; but I've a feeling that we might see something like a back five of Foster, McCulloch, McGregor, Wallace and Smith. Aird, Black, Hutton and Law, across the middle and Miller on his tod up front? Or Black or Hutton in front of the back four, with Aird, Hutton/Black, Law and Smith across the middle. Or even a five man midfield with Black in for a striker. Personally I think we are in trouble in this game and the only chance we have of doing anything is to attack, so I'd have Templeton instead of Smith and otherwise stay with last week's team. I'd rather go down fighting, having given it a real go; than play ultra defensive and lose anyway.- 24 replies

I would get down on my knees to Walter Smith and beg him to do it till the end of this week or better still the end of the season. God only knows what the mental state of the players is right now. Rangers hand contract to dud manager who was rejected by Hamilton Accies I doubt it.- 24 replies

I suspect that Ashley's lawyers have their balls tied in knots and in any event made it perfectly clear that he won't be appearing. They've probably said that if you postpone the Hearing he MIGHT deign to listen into a conference call. -

On the face of it, pure class; but it would have been interesting to have been a fly on the wall in the dressing room before and after the match. -
A rights issue is the normal kind of share issue in a company which allows existing shareholders to have first refusal on the issue of new shares by the company. These rights protect shareholders against dilution of their shareholdings. So if you own 10% of the existing shares you would have the right to purchase 10% of the new shares so that you still have 10% of the new total, if you decide to take up your "rights". These rights can be disapplied subject to a Special Resolution at the AGM or EGM called for that purpose. A 75% vote in favour is required. This was not achieved last time.

IMHO Alison is both attractive AND intelligent but she does display a degree of immaturity at times which is not surprsing given her tender age.
