Not sure, this is where it gets really murky. The assets of the club couldn't be transferred to another company without either the shareholder's permission or with the actual shares themselves surely? However if the existing company (CW's RFC Group) were to be liquidated then the shares would be an irrelevance as they would be for a worthless and liquidated company. This would mean that D&P would first have to announce that they are now acting as liquidators and then sell the assets to Bill Miller. Under FSA laws using an incubator company is illegal and it's what CW was banned from being a director for in the past. they see it as wilfully depriving creditors of any money, which it basically is. How all of a sudden it becomes a feasible practice I don't know.

Don't think that's fair mate, they haven't been doing all of this for a laugh. I'm not a BK's supporter by any means but I think it's a bit disingenuous to say they've been on some sort of fantasy trip.

Absolutely, there is no reason why the RST can't go on to be what it should be but it will need a fundamental change in leadership and removal of all ties to individual Rangers websites and initiatives. All supporters groups should be invited to participate in an umbrella type organisation while maintaining their own identities (VB's UB's etc) A single point of reference and more importantly a single register of Rangers fans throughout the world would be a powerful tool. Make registration free initially to swell the numbers. Being able to go to the SFA, SPL and the club itself with 500,000 Rangers fans behind you would be enough to put anyone off meddling with us.

Bill Miller as preferred bidder & the new strip - doesn't add up!!

Online direct sales and a retail deal with other sports shops could achieve that easily in my opinion, not to mention the worldwide shirts sales which could be negotiated via a distributor. -
I don't think anybody is blaming the RST for anything to do with the apparent failure of any bid but it needs to be said that backing one bid so vehemently and indulging in rubbishing the rival bids hasn't done anything to persuade me that they were acting purely for the good of the club. While the perception exists that a seat on the board was offered for support of the BK's I don't think my opinion is going to change. I cringe when I hear Spiers going on about the paltry size of our Supporters Trust when compared to other "big" clubs but he is right, we need to be moving towards a single impartial yet influential Supporters Trust. It's one of the features of this saga for me, how disjointed our fan base is and how we could have been a much more powerful voice had we been properly united as a fan base. I'm a member of the RST and support the recent good work in establishing unity with the other fan groups but it's really too little too late.

Too busy looking for a leg up from the only bidder who promised it.

People quite rightly get worked up about the history being separated from us but it's a technicality if anything. None of the companies that have owned Rangers have gone into liquidation so it is a new "event" but it comes down to the fact that Rangers 1872 is a football club and IT carries the history. The ownership vehicle doesn't. As I said, I can see why people get uncomfortable when talk of history comes up but short of BOTH entities ceasing to exist, our 140 year history is intact and available to be added to....

You're right, City's defence is far superior to Barcelona's.

The FTT (First Tier Tribunal) is an appeal, it's not as clear cut as a guilty or not case, it's more of a "we want our money but how much we're not sure" situation. Our only hope is that if the FTT finds that we have good ground for appeal and that we didn't abuse EBT's after all. Letters of intent and verbal agreements may not be seen as contractual documents and therefore the EBT's would be valid simply as loans or gifts to high performing employees. More than happy to be corrected if anybody knows better.

The BTC is coming into sharp focus now and it's the reason Newco is inevitable, the BK's could offer £20m and guarantees and it still wouldn't satisfy HMRC AND the other creditors. the sooner we get united behind the Newco route the better, it will be done in a manner that retains the history both emotionally and technically. Let's be clear, we have already LOST the BTC, the FTT is purely a number generating process. It could be massive (£75m) or it could be semi sensible (£25m-£35m) but either way it's not going to be repaid.

Has the Offensive behaviour at football Bill been scrapped already?

The irony in the Green Brigade calling us facist and sectarian...thick as week old milk. -
The entire Football League carry debt of around £1.5bn....average turnover to wages ration is 83% in the Championship ffs. It's mind boggling.

From what David Whitehouse had to say this afternoon, the BK's are no nearer to buying Rangers than I am. Bill Miler's bid is made up of hard cash and must involve some sort of hybrid liquidation given the fact that he hasn't set any conditions regarding CW's shares or a CVA being in place. He wouldn't elaborate on the mechanics of Miller's bid but was at great pains to say that liquidation wasn't part of it. I'd love to know what the actual mechanics are of this "hybrid liquidation". Think I might hybrid liquidate myself and tell the bank to fuck off for their mortgage.

Two wee girls Frankie, they love going to Ibrox but it's much more of a controlled environment obviously. Might just take them to the park and watch the folks set off. -
