  1. We don't need hangers on who can deliver what is expected. If he deal with that and can't be arsed to produce the attitude and work ethic that the situation demands, get him out the door. Can't understand that attitude at all.
  2. Lots I suspect. And most will be less informed than Wilson's. Face it folks we were bought by a bunch of hucksters out to make a quick buck and they will make a quick buck. The question is how much will they make before we see the back of them.
  3. Stockbridge ought to be toast given the way he doesn't seem to have a clue how much has been spent and what it's been spent on. Surely it's just a matter of time before he is given his cards. We can't go on with him and still retain any credibility with investors.
  4. Couldn't agree more. This is the height of stupidity and he's done little demonstrate his value to the team over the last year. You can bet if you want to but you don't bet against your own team. There are plenty of other bet outs there.
  5. He did his bit and stuck with us when plenty of others couldn't wait to jump ship. That's worth remembering. Good luck to you Neil.
  6. Bad bad idea. Hope it's a non starter.
  7. Good to have you (and everyone else) back Frankie. Feels like the clouds have parted and the sun is back. Onwards and upwards with the team we love. It's the only way to go.
  8. A well argued and thought-provoking read as ever Cammy. I remember your rants from the old days when Gersnet was young very well and I wish that more of us had listened to you and seen the train wreck coming. We are where we are, still alive and kicking despite the best attempts to bury us, and I just hope that whomever comes out of this current battle on top can put the best interest of the club ahead of their own for a change. Hope your little ones are well and healthy now.
  9. And we deserve some. This is a shambles.
  10. An advantage that he seems utterly incapable of exploiting. Name your trophy, his cup record as a manager is shite.
  11. John Greig's last few games were the first I went to on my own (with my mates from School, rather than family) at Ibrox so they have a special resonance for me and I remember the pelters that Greig was taking at the time. He knew his time was up and someone else needed to take the helm. Ally is in denial about that glaring fact. Under him we are going nowhere fast and today's performance was just a horrible sense of deja-vu from some of last season's more wretched games. This is not acceptable. You're the manager Ally. Fix it or get the hell out and let someone else have a go! Last chance saloon for me. Others may think he's on his way out through the window already.
  12. I suspect Gunslinger is right and we'll get a bit of a doing but we need to measure ourselves against top teams and understand where we have to make progress. Lessons learned against the likes of Newcastle may be very useful when we play our former colleagues in the SPL in cup ties.
  13. Never saw the man play but my dad raved about him. Reckoned he was one of the best he'd ever seen, From the account above, JF deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Good luck with your efforts.
  14. Sad day for Scottish Football. There's plenty I'd like to see go to the wall before Hearts. The question is: whose next?
  15. Interesting and thought provoking read as ever. Good to have you back Andy.
  16. Yes Frankie, call it like it is. Complete double standards. Hearts are bust and there is no chance of that debt being repaid. Everyone knows it. Surely "sporting integrity" demands that if Hearts aren't a going concern then they should have to face the same penalties that we did last summer. Shame, just makes it even easier for Celtic until we get back.
  17. It's no recent thing - they've been peddling that shite for years. No coming back? Some septic fans have never been on the same planet as the rest of us.
  18. Most non-execs I've come across usually still want a hefty reward for their time. They don't come cheap, especially if they are good at the job. Hopefully ours will be a bit more magnanimous given the situation we're in.
  19. CHANGING THE GOALPOSTS Perceptions, perceptions.... 1980's: "Rangers will never sign catholics." Mo Johnstone 1990's: "Rangers don't sign enough catholics." Amoruso, Gattuso, Neil McCann, et al 2000's: "Rangers don't sign the right (i.e. Irish) catholics" John Daly signs for Rangers FFS are there any more "hoops" you'd like us to jump through until we can be treated equally with every other club? Or is it just too easy for lazy, discredited hacks and our "pure as the driven snow" opponents from across the city to keep throwing that tag at us. Open your eyes and move on Spiers, we have.
  20. Absolutely right mate. That money belonged to the club and should have been used to maximize the payment to OLDCO creditors. Since when did the SPL become a creditor? We had a few debts to individual clubs that could have been addressed without involving the SPL, but not that much! The creditors get shafted again but this time thanks to the SPL. We were blackmailed pure and simple.
  21. Harper MacLeod would seem to be the ideal candidate.
  22. His Aberdeen team ruined my teenage years. His arrogance knows no limits and he considers himself above laws and rules that apply to everyone else. He's a hypocrite of the highest order and I hate the man and all his works. To see the media treating him like a saint is stomach churning. There are few better days in my life than the one in 1986 when me, my brother, my dad and my uncles were crammed into the East Enclosure to see Souness's Rangers stuff Ferguson's Aberdeen. That was the end of the New Firm there and then. Just a shame that Palace didn't win the FA Cup as they deserved to in 1990 and earn Ferguson his P45. No tears shed here.
  23. Exactly, We can behave with integrity, even if others don't have a shred of it left. Onward and upwards to Division 2.
