The only downside is they avoid Stuttgart, Fiorentina and Athletico Madrid as they are also "unseeded" in the final QF...

Awesome read there mate! (interview prep must be going well ) You can even point out "premiership class" players like pedro mendes and steve davis as recent coups! Also if you have a look at the stature of "Rangers Men" within the game it is pretty clear who is the more dominant force... At the recent OF game at ibrox you had (albeit scottish) heavyweight managers Walter Smith and Alex McLeish and Graeme Souness (perhaps more reknowned for his playing days?). Then there is possibly the greatest manager of all time in the world of football: Sir Alex Ferguson. Even looking at ex-players doing their punditry/commentating jobs... former celtic players include Charlie Nicholas (relatively high profile, also recognisable in England) but who else? Andy Walker? John Hartson? Please! Amaturish biased reporting within the selfcontained world of scottish football... ... While Sky hosts the likes of the effluent, witty and insightful views of Souness, Nigel Spackman, Ray Wilkins... We truely are the people

There is no difference in points between losing 1-0 and losing 7-0 so let the humiliation commence! Qualifying games dont normally count too much for points, and there is a good chance they will qualify for the Europa League, where you would assume (as there will be 3 parkhead games) they will win some (and get same number of points as we would for winning in CL - perhaps that should be reviewed now the 2 tournaments are practically identical?) and in doing so boost the scottish co-efficient. Its the falkirks and aberdeens that really screw us over co-efficient wise!

So what about watching BBC iplayer? or 4oD? etc... did they have to check they weren't installed on your computer? The whole thing is baffling, and the BBC can be shocking for what is meant to be publicly funded tv. When it comes to the sport stuff, it is difficult to have objectivity in broadcasts... however there is an easy solution... have one person strong enough for each side... you could stomach seeing a tim moaning if he was sitting next to a novo-like character bigging up the champs!

cheers for the info

What is the legality of "boycotting" the TV licence? Can you just write them a note explaining you are not paying for it for the reasons listed in the petition? Or would you have to back it up by not tuning in a TV? is it just BBC channels that are covered by the licence? e.g. is watching itv without a tv licence legal? what about the radio? Many questions... One thing that I'm not in any doubt over is how poor some of the highlighted incidents are. Here's hoping for parity...

I hope so! He'd be the death of them! :spl:

I don't get it either...

in 3 years time, these will be the lads that will be competing for spots in an u23 team... I just don't get why the other associations are against the thought of a british team for the olympics in 2012! I would love it, assuming UEFA allow it as a one-off (although that's one way we could join the prem?) kinda like the lions for the rugby but not as regular! Would love to see a team GB with the likes of Fleck and Wilson in the team

Looks like the seedings are still used in the qualifying round, its just split differently? (champions vs best placed teams) which makes it harder to avoid a big team? I reckon there is a good chance that some of the teams above us in the groups seedings will go, i just hope celtic aren't one of the ones that puts them out! Regardless, we will be better placed than our last attempt at the CL where we were in the bottom pot, but looking at the teams we'd avoid being a second seed (especially compared with the third seeded teams) it would be nice! although perhaps lose out on some of the glamour?

any pics? I assume you saw them on the prematch build up??

OT but nicely done! Take it hampden would win hands down?

what about hampden?!

Although both absolutely fantastic, there was a more stabalising gough-like presence about cuellar that is difficult to explain, but to me cuellar had but boogie doesn't. Bougherra is just that little bit more flamboyant and feel that next to say mcculloch instead of weir would not look as assured as cuellar would. Great poll!

I've still got my holland top from the last one! I'd be well up for that... working on a wee photoshop... see what you think, or maybe inspire a better artist than me to improve on the idea... [anyone know how to upload a pic?]

Did I show you the tape? I've no idea where it is... I hope I didn't leave it in Mike's tape player when we had the flat together... Amazing tunes like the Durrant, Coisty, Huistra and Hately chants... does Germanbear have them in his folder?
