When you hear the support roar its support like that it gives you goosebumps. Good luck, Fernando.

Well I guess that lets us know where his heart lies and why we never got any help or encouragement from him during our troubles.

I guess you thought wrong. Maybe the next time they will know better, now. -
Rangers fan cleared over online post about Celtic manager Neil Lennon

I take your point, but you could say that since he was the first person to be charged under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communcations Act in 2012 then this case allows the police and the court to ascertain what the parameters will be for a successful conviction in future cases. So the time was not completely wasted. -
Yes. They need to evidence financial health and stability before investors will finance the kind of team you envisage. There will be modest recruitment only until that objective is met.

I think they need to find the cash for a few more pressing problems before they spend on international players.

Karma, perhaps. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtics-winter-break-put-hold-2995233 By Dailyrecord.co.uk Celtic's winter break is put on hold as players are grounded in Glasgow due to flight cancellation 6 Jan 2014 16:46 NEIL LENNON and his squad will have to wait until tomorrow before heading to Turkey after charter flight chaos. Neil Lennon and his squad failed to make it out of Glasgow Airport SNS CELTIC'S winter break plans have been put on hold after their flight to Turkey was cancelled. Neil Lennon and his squad were due to fly out to Antalya this afternoon but there was a problem with the charter plane that was to take them to the coastal resort. A Celtic spokesperson said: "Unfortunately there was a problem with the incoming chartered aircraft, however we are looking to reschedule our departure for tomorrow." Celtic took up the option to postpone their league fixture with Kilmarnock on Saturday in order to head for some warm-weather training. They are also due to take part in the Turkish Airlines Antalya Winter Cup, where they are scheduled to play Trabzonspor on Thursday evening before facing either Ajax or Galatasaray at the weekend.

The worry is that the political masters of Police Scotland have allowed them to do an enquiry that is wide enough in extent and inclusive enough in scope to find ALL of the culprits invoved.

BH, I have no question of your integrity which you have proved on many an occasion. However, your attempt to portray these gentlemen in a favourable light may be a step too far. Their actions and statements in the past two years have shown them to be no friends of Rangers. They were willing participants in the drafting and signing of that fateful document, the five-way-agreement. That alone created a cynicism of them in the Rangers' support that may never be expunged.
-
Why don't the other SPL clubs speak up in defence of one of their own? Maybe they are still under the threat of fan boycotts if they go easy on Hearts, or maybe "Sporting Integrity" is alive and well.

We witnessed a catastrophe alright but what could the support , under the setup of SDM, possibly have done about it? Maybe Rangerrab is closer to the truth.

I hate to break up your warm and fuzzy feelings here guys, but I think you are a little bit out of order. Crawford01 ( post #24 ), You say you say that we "lorded" it over Scottish football and should meekly accept that we should be "humiliated and hamstrung" as our punishment. ... Not for a moment should the support accept that precept. You say, "most of the Celtic fans I speak to don't want us dead" ... Was that the same fans who threatened their own board, and that of other clubs, with a boycott if they did not vote Rangers out of the SPL? Then you say, "and I detect a certain softening in attitude among several of my acquaintences following the various commission verdicts which have (essentially) found in our favour over the past 2 years." ... What do you expect them to do, they were wrong ? What do we care what their attitude is? We did not cheat, don't forget that. Then you say, "If they bait us, we can be confident enough in the facts to smile and not rise to it." ... Do you remember how the dignified silence worked for us under SDM? If these people write one word that is false they should be hounded down and exposed. If it is of a physical nature then the police should take care of it. Hildy ( post #26 ), You say, "This idea that they are so despicable now that we can't breathe the same air and compete against one another is a form of intolerance." ... Agreed. However, remember whose intolerance and bigotry caused us to be in the position we are in. I am sure you can forgive the support for not wishing to rush back to a similar atmosphere as existed in the SPL. Then you say, "The perception that some of us have that our present situation is pure and wonderful is delusion off the scale. Watching paint dry ... " ... How dare you accuse the Rangers support of being deluded? They follow their club out of a sense of love and loyalty not delusion. Many a supporter has made it known that they find these last 18 months to be a more enjoyable experience than the SPL. They have stated that Ibrox has a more family-orientated atmosphere now and many of them are taking their children to games that they would never have contemplated in the past. They do not find the same level of hooliganism and intolerance spewing from the away fans' area as they did in the past in the SPL. This is a fact and not a delusion, and can only be good for the future of Rangers' supporter base. Perhaps you may find it strange that some people see a football match as something more than the adrenaline rush of beating Celtic. In summary, you both seem to want the Rangers support to accept some form of guilt for what has happened. I refute that. When Whyte is finally indicted and found guilty of his crimes, we as a club and a support will be shown to be the victims and not the perpetrators of wrong deeds. We are certainly entitled to let the world know that we are Scotland's most successful club and we are also entitled to make sure that we are never again treated so shabbily by Scottish football's corrupt ruling cabal. This present "soft" approach by a few members of the MSM is nothing more than a smoke screen. Next they'll be telling us that Rangers should move on and embrace our friendly rivals from across the city. Are you ready to buy that crap?

Do you forget who was in the vanguard of the group who tried to kill us, 18 months ago? Some things outweigh boredom !!! How could you possibly look at a contest with them as being a "sporting" event?

BH, when I made the original statement I was confident ( ?? ) that the SFA, big fat Rod being the main lobbyist, would indeed assist us in getting special permission from UEFA to represent Scotland in the Europa Cup. Using the rules below this would allow us to play next year. "Sporting Integrity" notwithstanding, of course. http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Tech/uefaorg/General/01/80/54/10/1805410_DOWNLOAD.pdf Check, Article 15 Special permission ( page 13 of the doc p.18 of the pdf ) Annex 1:Exceptions Policy ( page 44 of the doc. p. 49 of the pdf ) B. The only thing we're missing is the Euro money. That makes us stronger. Win the Scottish Cup and Celtic start to panic.
