  1. He won't be shy of offers. There was a time coming to us would have been a realistic prospect. Can't see it now.
  2. oops, overkill, haha.
  3. Duly noted:ost::ost::ost::ost:
  4. FYI, I'm typing the shortcut 'stb' for the ostrich and it's not working.
  5. The truth is too uncomfortable for many of us to admit. A British government agency conspiring to screw us over. How will we avenge this? By voting to stay a part of it.....
  6. I'm definitely anti-pie, before it starts. Fucking rotten the last one I got at Ibrox.
  7. Behave..... Our debt was easily manageable. They just got jittery because of the BTC. Our debt was caused by our failures in Europe, not by mismanagement. His entire empire was crumbling. Lloyds had him by the balls.
  8. I blame him for pretending he was duped, but I don't see what else he could have done if I'm honest.
  9. Only if you think Murray knew this would happen, and he had full control of the sale, which we both know he didn't. Would liquidation even have happened if we got CL cash that year? Or do you think Whyte would have stashed that, and done what he did anyway?
  10. For some unknown reason, HMRC decided to use us as the test case, before they went after bigger fish. This is why Lloyds had the urgency to get their dough back. Whyte didn't get us for pound. Lloyds got their money, just like banks always do in the end. That's how I saw it. Blame it all on Murray if it helps you sleep at night.
  11. Show me a Scottish football club that isn't/hasn't been mismanaged. The major issue (the big tax case/bank) was mainly outwith his control. Our debt was serviceable, Lloyds thought otherwise due to a possible massive tax bill. So unless you're blaming him for a tax avoidance scheme, that was legal at the time, and proved to be used legally, I don't see the big evil he committed.
  12. It's not irrelevant if people are still blaming Murray for what's happened since. There was a risk no matter who he handed over to. The people that arrived since make Murray look like a saint.
  13. That was kinda my point. Slagging off Murray, is like slagging off Thatcher while Cameron runs amok, and robs you blind.
  14. That's a tad harsh. There's plenty ahead of Murray to blame for our current predicament. You say yourself he didn't 'sell us', so how can he be held solely responsible? The real hatred should be reserved HMRC, and Lloyds. Murray's actions were all done with a proverbial gun at his head. What happened after that was beyond his control.
  15. Just like people are wrongly assuming that the current mob are looking after us properly. At least back then we had a team worth watching.
  16. Would it have done much good if he did warn us about Whyte? For all we know, it was Murray that tipped the wink to Johnston, who was in turn ignored by the majority of the support. It wasn't as if Whyte was welcomed with open arms by our then board. It's old ground now, but I think Murray gets painted as the bad guy, much more than he actually was, especially by certain people that are now fully behind the current regime. Most people in power are almost always hated by the end of their tenure. That doesn't mean we can't appreciate some of the undoubted good that he brought to us. It's not a black/white situation, as most people make it out to be.
  17. I'm loathe to attempt to defend him too much. I can just see how it kinda happened, with him being tied in with confidentiality clauses etc. I admit, his claim that he was 'duped', is ridiculous, and pretty shameful. He would have been better saying nothing.
  18. That's assuming Murray had much choice in the matter, which he more than likely didn't. LBG is a different matter. Banks being morally bankrupt scumbags is hardly news.
  19. Murray gambled to bring us all glory. It's quite different to the type of gamble this current mob are involved with. There wasn't too many people asking him to turn it in when we were splashing millions around.
  20. My whole belief system has been shattered. I actually agree with something der Berliner said.
  21. If Daly's getting any stick, it's because he's rotten, not anything more sinister. Is this the same McMurdo that vehemently defended one of our directors threatening to throw someone down a flight of stairs? That's a tad more worrying that someone abusing Lennon, or calling Daly pish.
  22. The most shocking thing about this, is Mcgobshite not knowing what a compound noun is. The rest is depressingly predictable.
  23. We need 3 keepers. It's a position that can turn sour very quickly if you don't have the required back-up. It's not unknown for 2 keepers to be injured/playing shite at the same time. I know you can sometimes sign a keeper outside the transfer window in an emergency, but the choice is often limited, and can only be used due to injuries. Simonsen deserves another year for that save alone.
