Gutted that the pool have been beaten AGAIN by manure. Hoped for a draw in the gooner v chelski game. I'd kill to have Wenger in charge at Rangers.

The tims not happy craig? Surely not. :uzi: Bunch of moaning barstewards

There's a few wee bits and pieces on the BBC on-line football page regarding Rangers players. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/default.stm

Oh happy days. Get it inti yi, ya over-rated bunch of scum.
-
Read it on-line yesterday that Pompey said he'll be allowed to leave if any club comes for him(paying the required amount of course). Good attacking left back(IMO). Great left peg. Has scored some spectacular goals and good from a dead ball(which we are desperate for). Could be the answer to our left back problem. Do you think he'll be in our price range? If so, would we(fans) like WS to sign him? A wee side note: John Collins has said that he is resigned to losing David Murphy(left back). Is he somebody that we'd be interested in?

Better go and prepare myself for the barage of 'champions league yir havin' a laugh' shit i'm gonna have to suffer from the non-bluenoses at work tomorrow.
-
The best thing that can happen now is for us to fuck the scumtic on the 2nd and win our games in hand. That'll put us in some some of control in the league and might make tonight a wee bit easier to take. NO SURRENDER.
-
1 point out of a possible 12. Sorry lads, but you don't deserve to be in the CL with form like that. GUTTED.
-
That's one job done. Now to stick it to the manure on sunday.

Awesome first half from the pool. If we can play with that tempo(with and without the ball) tomorrow night, we'll give ourselves a great chance. I hope Watty is watching.
-
Torres versus Rodriguez. Feck me, talk aboot a mis-match.
-
Gazza, if you've got sattelite tv. Go to channel 993 it's itv1 london. Mon the pool. PS. Torres for the bears(please god)

I don't think many BEARS will give a feck how many beers and pizzas the players consume, especially after we pump the frogs and head to the 'promise land' of the last sixteen. In all seriousness though, i think it's the RANGERS hating press(and there's probably lots of them) trying to throw a spanner in the works. Well i say F**K THEM! I for one won't be jumping on their bandwaggon and getting on the back of any player, whether he wants away or not. C'MON THE BEARS. 3-2.
-
NO. What we've got at Rangers right now is a squad of 'decent' players, with one or two who rise slightly above that. What i meant by Rangers class in Fletchers case is that he's not even good enough(IMO) to be at Rangers, given the 'averageness' of our squad and certainly not for 3 million.
-
I wouldn't pay £3m for Fletcher and any manager who would is off his f*****g trolley. He's s***e and the only reason he gets the attention he does is because of the team he plays for. He is nowhere near Rangers class. NO THANKS. :uzi: As for KJW, never heard enough about him to give an honest opinion.
-
I doubt if there's ever been a club in football history that can consistently make complete C***S of themselves as much as those donkeys. Like you said MSB, PRICELESS.
-
Ask him if he's having trouble deciding on team selection and tactics, to come on to Gersnet and we'll put him right.
-
For any scot(or any other nationality) who didn't think that Hutton and Fergie were our two best players are having their opinions clouded by club colours. For me personally, that's the level of performance i expect from two top quality players. On the other side(the far side) of the footballing spectrum, there's Darren Fletcher. He is f*****g dreadful. How a player who can't get a sniff of a game for his club side( manure or not ) can hold down a starting spot for Scotland and against the world champions is way beyond me. It was bad enough that we played 4-5-1, but to have that well over-rated lump of wid in the team begs belief. :uzi:

Great rant as usual cammy. That last piece about the tic fan in the pub is incredible. It shouldn't and probably doesn't surprise anybody that incidents of that nature occur. The uneducated tosser should be thanking these heroic men and women everyday for the cosy wee life he has to himself.
-
Without overstating the obvious, the defence(from front to back) and MacGregor are probably going to have to have the games of their lives. What we must not do is give away too many free kicks around about the penalty area. Ball retention and patience are an absolute must. We could sneak something if we can exploit our own set pieces. We're a big team nowadays, their keeper can be a bit dodgy at times, so let's drop that ball on the six yard line at every opportunity. C'MON THE BEARS!

Great piece Frankie. Is there any books on those early years you could recommend? Like you. I'm not a religious person in any way shape or form, but I'd love to read and learn all about those times. Right up to the Struth and Waddell days. It would be much appreciated if yourself or any of the lads for that matter, could recommend anything. Cheers.- 21 replies

Now that i think about it, 3 mill. is a decent price for 30 year old struggling to get a game. Even if he decides to go, he'll still get my respect. He's been top quality since coming to us.
-
Reading are to offer Rangers £3m for midfielder Brahim Hemdani. According the BBC on-line football page it's been reported in the Daily Mirror that Reading want Hemdani. IF true. do you think we would sell and if so, is 3 million a fair price? I personally wouldn't sell him, but it looks like WS prefers KT in that holding role. With limited opportunities now, do you think BH would prefer to go?

I accept that playing the 4-5-1 in the CL is in our best interest. Like you said Frankie, the quality of the opposition is top drawer and making ourselves that little bit more solid is a necessary evil(for want of a better word). What also helps is having a squad with genuine pace, strength, craft and experience. WS has done particularly well(IMO) in the transfer market in that regards. If we are going to go with the 4-5-1 domestically, which i'm not in favour of. Walter has to start getting his tactics and team selections right. If were going to play three in the middle of the park, it has to be two attacking and one holding. The tempo has also got to be higher. If we play a nice high tempo and play on the front foot, there's not a team in the SPL that can live with us(IMO). The game against the scum proved it perfectly. IMO WS has been over-cautious in too many games so far this season. The game against the arabs was the perfect example. 4-5-1, two holding and one striker and a low tempo. We would have been better served by playing Naismith or Novo up beside cousin to get under the feet of Wilkie and Dodds, instead of playing to their strengths and pumping the ball up to a lone striker. To me, that should be a no-brainer for somebody with WS's experience. 4-5-1 in the CL? Yes. In the SPL? No, but if WS continues with it in the SPL, he's going to have to do better in regards to team selections and tactics.
