  1. Another AMAZING goal from the POOL. Riise must be one of the best strikers of the ball in the game at the moment. Watched the game on football first on SKY after watching the old firm game. NOT EVEN THE SAME SPORT.

    Fight

Phil Bardsley looks as if he's up for a battle. He always has an angry look on his face, as if he's about to punt somebody into row Z. Fuck it. Stick him in the middle of the park.
  3. If we go out with the attitude and desire we showed against the jambos and leave the hibees performance where it belongs...In the gutter, we should have enough to take all three points.. A guy I work beside is a season ticket holder at scumtic park and he's not been impressed with anything he's seen from them so far. Seemingly their central defence is well dodgy(sound familiar). So playing with two strikers(Boyd and Sebo) and two wide men(Burkey and Martin)may be a good way to go.

    Jjb

Great idea Cammy, but that's a SHOCKING attitude from the jjb hee haw. :admin: You should have went down there and gave him some serious verbal abuse(or physical).
  5. Spot on. In addition to a point about the knives being out. PLG himself has heavily criticised the team for the last three performances and one of those was a 4-0 win. Gutless was used to describe the teams performance against Hibs. Le Gaffer isn't making any excuses and is demanding his team do a lot better. Do we not have that right?
  6. I never said anything about foreign players. I said players who cost us a shit load of money. Yes you're right. Fernando and Dado and many other foreign players have given 100% everytime and have grown to love the club as much as any scot. As for Fergie. I was glad to see him come back. He's got a lot of work to do to get back to the form he had before he left, but I'd still rather have him than not. 6 or so games in the reserves to get him back to some sort of sharpness is what's needed. As for having no pride or passion for Rangers....I'd find that very hard to believe. I'm not interested in being proved right or wrong on saturday in regards to Hutton. I certainly don't want to see ANYBODY crumble. I hope whoever plays, they all have blinders and we HAMMER THE SCUM.
  7. I respect everybody's opinion gersfem. No matter how different from my own. But WHY are so many Gers fans so tough on Hutton? I'll agree that his performances haven't been world class, but they've not been that bad either IMO. Stevie Smith hasn't been Mr consistent either this season. Especially on sunday, where he had an absolute fuckin' shocker, but is anybody gettin' on his case? I think not. One criticism that everybody seems to have of young Alan, is that he gets caught up park too often. That's exactly where I want the full backs, up supporting the wide men, giving them options, getting crosses in. That's one of the jobs of a holding midfielder. To cover a full back if he pushes on. You just shuffle across 5 or 10 yds, so if the ball does come out that way, you're there to cover your full back. That shouldn't be a problem for us. Seeing as we play with two holding midfielders ffs. I'll just be in the pub watching the game. Hutton will be playing and he'll get my full support. He's as good a defender as we've got at the moment and he's certainly ALOT better than Svensson. It's disappointing that he's become such an easy target. Especially when players who cost us a shit load of money and don't have an ounce of LOVE for the club compared to Alan, are doin' ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR US and getting every excuse under the sun made for them.
  8. I agree Gazza. He looks absolutely fuckin' terrible. I thought sunday was one of his better games, yet he still managed to look well dodgy. This 'he needs time to settle in' excuse has got to go. He's had a few games now and he hasn't put in one decent performance. He's supposed to be an international ffs. In saying that, J-Rod hasn't been shit hot either. Big Sasa coming in will hopefully steady the ship at the back.
  9. Possibly mate. In my case, Liverpool were my first love, in terms of fitbaw teams. I think I was six when I got my first Pool strip and Rangers followed soon after. In saying that, I was one of a few who supported an english team back in my youth(early 70s). I think in terms of the young modern fitbaw supporter, Sky TV have had a massive influence in this area. Their money and coverage have totally glamourised the english game to the point where it's been really easy for ALL clubs to market themselves to young impressionable fans north of the border. I don't think it's anything to worry about as such. Given the hypnotic power of television and aforemementioned glamour, it was always going to happen. Gladly, I still see plenty of scottish football tops in my hame toon. especially the 'old firm'. Cheers, nokiss(hoover)............ps....C'mon the pool.
  10. The thing we all LOVE about Gersnet is the range of differing opinions. My opinion is we are on a completely different planet in football terms this season. Yes, it's frustrating not beating DU, Pars or Killie, but feck me, we're unbeaten, a point off the top of the league, playing well and we still have players to come back from injury...including our captain and best player(IMO). We have a talented and exciting young manager and a very strong young squad. IMO the final piece of the jigsaw would be a strong ball winning centre half who can organise and distribute. All in all lads, as a football team I think we're in a decent place at the moment and going forward. Just close your eyes and visualise the absolutely fuckin' crap football we had to endure last season. ........surely we have to be happy about where we are now. ....WE ARE THE PEOPLE.

    Dado Prso

I think Dado and Kris are an excellent partnership. Dado does a tireless amount of work outside the box, especially linking with the midfield. With Clement and Hemdani reluctant to venture too far forward, Dado's work in this area is essential. Not only that.....he's damn good at it as well. Playing him with Kris, who's a poacher and the most gifted goal scorer we have, allows Dado to play his natural game and not have the added pressure of being the primary goal getter as well. I think if we can get a good season out of Dado, he'll be good for 15 goals. Couple that with his abillity to make things happen for his teamates, he'd be one of the first names on my team sheet.
  12. Maybe it's a swap deal. Boyd for Rooney.
  13. I only saw the second half on sunday(golf outing). A few of the lads have interesting views on where we are as a team at the moment. I think we've been a wee bit unlucky in regards to goals against us this season. It seems every time there's a error in judgement at the back, it ends up in the back of the net. A bit better luck on sunday and that header might have went over or wide. On another day, that ball might have hit Hutton on the chest. We do need to improve at the back, that's for certain, but a little better rub of the green would help. Gribz hit the nail on the head by saying we're playing ten times better than last season and therefore moving forward. We were all in agreement at the start of the season that no team would run away with it. Unfortunately, that included us. KEEP THE FAITH......NO SURRENDER.
  14. On reading the BBC on-line fitbaw page this morning, I noticed Coventry City have reportedly tabled a 500,000 bid for wee Nacho. Surely we have to accept that, 1/2 million in the hipper and freeing up some wages. He did okay for us initially but, I wouldn't imagine he'll see much 1st team action now. With the quality that's at the club now, he'll be way down the pecking order. So if the bid is genuine, IMO it would be better for all parties concerned that ourselves and Nacho accept the offer.
  15. I'm with you R.B. If The GERS are going to achieve anything in Euro, I'd rather we done it off our own back and not be helped along the way from those two sets of scumbags. I know there's a bigger picture, but I could NEVER EVER bring myself to wish them well. No matter what the circumstances. :admin:
  16. My gaffer is a sheep lover but he wasn't in today. Tomorrow is going to be soooooooooo good. Feckin' useless wool shaggers. Yeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa.
  17. He was asked 'if you were a pigeon, where would you shit? The little smelly scum lovin' c**t answered, on Rangers, orange bastards. I'm sure that's pretty close.
  18. That result and performance yesterday should give us a massive confidence boost. Hopefully we can push on now and really put pressure on the rest. ENJOY THE CHASE.....LOSERS.
  19. Wee tinky jambo b*****d. Just makes yesterdays gubbin' all the sweeter. Check out the league table.......SCUM LOVER.
  20. Great post as usual Frankie. Catholic or not, the man's been nothing but a nuisance since he came north of the border and an extremely bad advert for our game. As Colshy says, a moaning bastard with a massive chip on his shoulder(probably because he's short, fat, pish at fitbaw and plays for scumtic). The c**t will get no sympathy from me. :admin:

    Welcome Thread

I've been on a wee while noo, but I'll hit you with some boring 'about me' facts anyway. Name: James Stevenson. Everybody knows me as Hoover(named after the band Jimmy The Hoover from the eighties. Lucky me eh! Married for just over 6 years. 4 kids, 1 step-daughter and a daughter and 2 sons of my own. Been a postie for eighteen years(no wonder I feckin' drink). Big Liverpool fan(sorry Dunn and Colshy) My all time Rangers hero-Davie 'Super 'Cooper. An absolute hero and a true Legend in every sense of the word. My forum name nokiss is just something that one of ma wee boys used to say. Cheers, Hoover.
  22. I maybe didn't show it my wee team layout, but I'm happy to play a 4-2-3-1. I just think Rae would give us that little bit more in the way of aggression and offensive support.
  23. ____________________Letizi____________ Hutton_______J-Rod_______Svensson____Smith Sionko_______Rae_________Clement_____Martin __________________Buffel______________ __________________Boyd_______________ I'd have Rae instead of Hemdani because he'll get forward to support the front two when possible and he's much more physical in the tackle. Which is going to be hugely important on Saturday. Have got to include Kris, you can't IMO leave that amount of goals sitting on the bench. He's the best and most natural goal scorer we have. So c'mon Le Boss, get him in there.
  24. YEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAA. Gonna have to watch the highlights later, seeing as I was out at the pub watching that HORROR show at Du/line. Seeing my other BELOVED fitbaw team winning almost makes up for the HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT of seeing the GERS playing so poorly and dropping two points against relegation fodder like the pars.
