  1. Welcome Mikey. I suppose we'll have to wait to get the exact details of what has actually got us to this shambolic point. No matter what, it has to be sorted out and Fergie needs to be back playing and as captain. Good first post mate. Totally agree.
  2. Both fine posts lads. Get rid of the dead wood.....I totally agree. Starting with Murray, Bain and Mcintyre. Only then can we begin to look forward.
  3. Keep him until the end of the season. If things haven't greatly improved and we don't get second place.....Get rid of him. Failing to improve and move us on from the ABSOLUTE HORRORS of last season means, IMO he doesn't deserve another season.
  4. I F****N' hate that auld arab b*****d...... but he's spot on. It's actually quite refreshing reading a genuine opinion on our plight at the moment. Rather than the PR bullshit we usually get spoon fed.

In a word, YES. I don't give a shit what he achieved at Lyon. He hasn't done a f****n' thing right since he came to us. Apart from Clement(imo)his signings have been f****n' terrible. His tactics have been absolute WANK. Half a season should've been plenty of time for supposedly one of the brightest young managers in europe to get to grips with one of the weakest leagues in europe. Coupled with the fact that he's had shit loads more money than every other club bar one. I see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on the horizon to make me think anything is going to change. I dread to think what he'll do in the transfer market with any money that the LYIN' CUNT gives him(if any).

    A Wee Rant

Bleak indeed Cammy. It should be brutally obvious to every Rangers fan that serious investment is needed NOW. Not just squad players, but players of proven quality and experience who are desperately needed in the starting eleven. Even if the current crop of players start playing better, I doubt if they're are good enough to take us where we need/want to be. We have two players(IMO)in the first team set-up that have genuine quality and have the abillity to help take us forward, Fergie and young Stevie Smith. Dado would've been included, but it's clear that he's close to being finished. We have some decent young players who have the potential to be better, but these players need to brought on through working alongside experienced quality players who can guide them properly and nurse them through difficult times. At the moment, these young guys have way too much responsibility and are carrying the weight and future of a massive club on their shoulders. Even if DM finds some cash to invest in the team(which i doubt). I'm not sure I have the faith in PLG to spend on the type of players we need.
  7. The shortest game analysis since sunday, but probably the most accurate. Spot on missq. Imagine if that was PLGs post match talk in the dressing room. Right lads, we were shit, they were better. Get showered and I'll see you on the bus. It would quite funny if we weren't all pissed off.
  8. Spot on. That's why it's absolutely essential we utilise Murray park to it's fullest potential.
  9. It really bugs the s**t out of me that we are so far behind the scum, but it would be less of a problem if we were at least moving forward, improving as a team and as individuals and PLG was showing some signs that he was gettin' to grips with the demands of the SPL. We are NOT and he ISN'T. We are no further forward than we were last season. Lack of commitment, aggression and imagination. Questionable tactics and team selections and the most annoying thing of all....A distinct lack of PASSION, especially by our esteemed leader and his assistant. I don't believe for a minute you have to be the greatest coach in the world to realise that these things are essential ingredients for a football team. No matter what your level of expectation is. Derek Ferguson was on Rangers TV today, talking about the Falkirk game and Rangers in general. He pretty much echoed what alot of us say on here about our concerns. Interesting nevertheless. After listening to Fergie snr. It wouldn't be the worst idea for PLG to have a chat with him and hopefully realise what is required to at least get us movin' forward. It's not rocket science Paul. Just footballing fundamentals that every team should have.....and we're DESPERATE for.
  10. A wee look to the future here lads and lassies. Let's just say that things stay the same for the rest of the season. Inconsistent team performances, under-achieving players, poor tactics, a nightmarish battle for 2nd place and finally NO TROPHIES. What would YOU do? Do you accept that it was a 'settling in' season for PLG and his signings and trust him with what financial support you can? Hoping that he'll learn from his mistakes and prove himself to be the coach that you hoped he would be. Is getting 2nd place(irrespective of how you got there) and a wee run in europe enough for you to still have confidence in Le Gaffer? Next season we make an other slow start and nothing much has changed. Do you keep the faith? Or how long do you leave it before you swing the axe? This is not a vendetta against PLG. I'm just interested in what everybody would do if they were in charge.
  11. There's one thing that's gonna come out of this set-back. We're gonna find out if Boydy's doubters are gonna be proved right and we can manage without him. I personally think we'll struggle in front of goal while Boydy is out. I hope the other strikers prove me wrong.
  12. It's definitely Whittaker I would like to see at Ibrox. Must have been the excitement of going to the pub today to watch the game that got me all Ecked up. If I ever get the managers job at Rangers, I'll let somebody else deal with the transfers.
  13. Jeezus! I'm losin' it. Too much red wine and Miller last night(not in same glass). Cheers Gazza.
  14. That result was HUGE for the Arse. It's important they proved to themselves and everybody else that they could win without Henry. Even though they got a helping hand from the officials.
  15. If he can't be bothered doin' that. Sutton's close by in Birmingham(Villa).
  16. I'd have Scotty Brown in a minute. The Scottish Gattuso, In your face and a No Surrender attitude. A very welcome addition IMO(if it happens). As for Kevin Thompson, not fussy. I'd rather have their right back, Fletcher.
  17. The great thing about this league is that, every team goes for it week in week out. No posturing and next to no cheatin'(diving and feigning injury). Just 22 honest, hard working professionals giving it everything to try and get three points. THE WAY FITBAW SHOULD BE. LOVE IT. PS. Billy Davies a future RANGERS manager? Done a great job at preston and doing a brilliant job at Derby.
  18. Yeah, struggling badly. I'd like to see them strong again though, the more teams battling it out at the top the better. It's a pity about the tims running away with it. It could have been a crackin' title race this year.
  19. I'm confident. Yes, our defence is still a bit dodgy, but we're playing a bit better and scoring some goals. It looks as if there's some self belief and confidence in the team at the moment. One thing PLG and the team shouldn't do at any cost is give the scum too much respect. It's been a major downfall in recent times. Standing off them and allowing them to dictate to us is one sure fire way to get a doing. Let's get in their faces and see what they're made of. Another thing. The scum are no world beaters. Yes, they're having a better season than us(up till now), but they're average at best IMO. According to the tims at my work and going on what I've seen of them this season, they've made heavy weather of beating alot of teams. So it's the BEARS for me. 2-1 or maybe 3-2. NO SURRENDER.
  20. I agree. I can't see one of the brightest and in form young strikers in europe wanting to ply their trade in the SPL. There's been a number of clubs linked with him recently. Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle to name but a few. Also, there was talk of him maybe moving to the premiership at the beginning of this season, but I'm sure Marco Van Basten was quoted as telling him that it would be better for him to stay in Holland for at least one more season. So given that MVB obviously wants him to become an even better player than he already is(national team)I'm sure he would use his all too apparent influence to ward him away from the SPL.
  21. Given our present form and lack of confidence. I'll take any sort of win at the moment and live in hope that PLG and the players can return to our early season form. Jimi.
  22. Lads, I don't think even the most ardent Murray haters would deny he's been a huge factor in the massive success we've enjoyed during his tenure as the GLASGOW RANGERS top dog. The trophies, the players and the support and loyalty he's shown to his managers goes way beyond admirable. The man had a dream and gave 100% chasing it. We've had a load of special times in the last 20 yrs. Personally I thank him for that. If we all possessed the gift of hindsight, Would we have done things differently? More cautiuos with transfer fees maybe? More prudent with in regards to players contracts? Bringing through more youth players instead of buying? Today, we would probably say that going down those roads would have served us much better long term and certainly wouldn't have led us down this long dark lonely road. Maybe opinion will be split on those points. Nevertheless, it was F*****G EXCITING chasing that pot of gold at the end of the big red, white and blue rainbow. IMO, the downsizing, although dissapointing and inevitable, wasn't the reason my opinion on DM turned. It has been the lies, the false promises and the total lack of respect for the fans. There's no need for me to list them because they've been posted on this forum on numerous occasions. Anybody who hasn't been privvy to DMs B******T, should check out postings by Frankie and Cammy F on the subject. It's insightful stuff. The TRUTH Mr Murray about the state of our beloved club and your intentions in regards to it's future may not have been pleasant to hear...but it would've been appreciated. So the flame of respect that burned so brightly for so many years has been all but extinguished. Jimi.
  23. I'm not having a go at you Fraser, but didn't we get an initial payment of 18 million from the jjb merchandising deal and where the feck is all the CL money, 10-15 million I believe. That's between 28 and 33 million. How much has PLG spent, 5 million (approx). DM also said, not that long ago, that a club the size of Rangers could comfortably run on a deficit of approx 25 million. So why aren't we? Because he's trying to make the club as attractive as he possibly can to any prospective buyers. Manipulating, lying and doing everything in his power to make sure his own pockets are filled to the fuckin' brim. All these ploys have been nothing but detrimental to the team and incredibly disrespectful to the fans. Hence the situation we find ourselves in now.
  24. If things keep going as they are. Then I'll agree that the whole season will be way too long to give him. I dunno, maybe it's just blind faith but, I think the STJ game will be the final straw for him, In regards to his present approach. I think you'll see an upturn in form and attitude. The fans protest and DM demanding to talk with the players would've been a serious boot up the arse to all of them....Including PLG.
  25. One thing ALL top business men have is...THE GIFT OF THE GAB. DM has it in abundance. He knows what to say, how to say it and when to say it. I'm surprised the CIA haven't tried to hire him as a mind control expert. Until one of his perfectly timed promises actually comes to fruition....I'm with Cammy.
