  1. Totally agree. I'll admit i'm not the biggest WS fan. I totally disagree with the 4-5-1 formation and i detest this over-cautious, low tempo nonsense that we're playing at the moment...........but considering the short space of time in which it's took him to get us where we want/should be, i'll keep my ranting to a minimum and give him(grudginly) the benefit of the doubt in regards to him knowing exactly what he's doing.
  2. I'm not questioning his/our achievements so far this season mate. In a large number of games this season we have have been average/poor and have been managing to get positive results by the skin of our teeth. I'm not suggesting for a minute we should be able to go out and play beautiful flowing football every game, but IMO, we are/should be capable of playing better, more consistently with the players that we have. Or maybe be i'm over estimating the quality within the squad.
  3. I applaud your enthusiasm Fraser, but our tactics will be over-cautious and low tempo. WS doesn't go down the 'let's get in about them' road very often, if at all. Sorry to be a damp squid mate, but 'this greek mob' will be a very competent footballing side and we will have to be at our best to go into the second leg with any sort of advantage. I just hope WS can get the best out of the team, a feat he's managed very few times this season. W.A.T.P
  4. I think he's been an excellent signing. The big man has had a blip or two, but overall, his contribution has been superb value for money. If we pick up any players in the future at around the 2 million mark and they put in the sort of performances Carlos has, i for one will be well happy.
  5. I don't think anybody on here will shed a tear for the fat tosser. In saying that, i was gutted we didn't sign him when we had the chance. PS. Thanks for THAT penalty miss fat valley boy. You made our day.
  6. Stuck a couple of pound on Crouch first goal and 1-0 to the pool. Got 60/1. Gutted, as he did have a couple of decent chances.

    Expectations

I'm with Gazza 8 on this one. The treble is a real possibility for us this season, but I'd take two. As long as one is the league title. Had a wee discussion with one of my best mates(He's A Bluenose) about the league title. He reckons the 'scum' are favourites for the title based on the their transfer window activity and our lack of it. I don't believe that. I don't think they bought anybody that we need to be concerned about. With players coming back from injury, coupled with the players that we did manage to bring in, i personally think we have more than enough quality to win the league. If we were to lose out on the league, i don't think it'll be because of the goings on in the transfer window, it'll be more to do with Walters tactics and team selections. I think we have pretty good squad of players, i just don't think WS is utilizing it's obvious(to me anyway) potential. Maybe I'm just being greedy and should be happy at where we're at. Especially compared to our last two seasons.

    Reserves

I hope ID tells watty to get some of these outstanding performers involved in the first team. With the new signings and players coming back to full fitness, it's time watty gave the team a bit of a shake up. Adam hasn't put in any(IMO) performances of late to justify him getting a regular start. Weir is starting to show his age and needs a rest. With Dailly and Webster now available for selection, this decision should be a bit of a no brainer for Watty. Papac gives a hundred percent and has done an admirable job covering a position that is unnatural to him, but as soon as as Stevie Smith is anywhere near match fit, he should be starting. I'd like to see us inject a bit more energy into our performances. To say that they are a bit lacklustre is an undrestatement. Gow, Davies and Nacho are all players who like to play on the front foot and with lots of positive commitment and should be given a chance. I think we let teams of the hook and don't allow our players to play to their full potential due to our(WS) over-cautious and low tempo approach to games. There's silverware there for the taking this season. I'd rather we went and got it rather than us waiting/hoping that it's going to fall in our laps. NO SURRENDER. W.A.T.P
  9. I'm happy with this one. Technically good and loads of energy.
  10. Two way tie for me. Fergie and Hemdani getting the plaudits. Burkey wasn't far behind. I think the team generally did okay, given the conditions. Individually, McCulloch was very quiet and Adam......oh dear.
  11. To be honest, when Watty was first reported to be interested in LM, the price being thrown around was 1.5 million. I doubt watty will pay 3.5 for him and i don't think any bluenose would want him to.
  12. I 'm sure it was 1.5 million euros. Good deal for the GERS IMO. Decent profit made from a player who probably never wanted to be here.
  13. It's plainly obvious that Watty just doesn't rate him. Also, with WS seemingly in the market for another striker, it's safe to say that Boydy hasn't got a future as a RANGERS player. Who's gonna buy him? There doesn't seem to be any interest in him at the moment. Personally, i think if a club came in with even a half decent offer for him, let's say 1.5 - 2 million. I think RANGERS would accept it. It's clear he's not wanted and they will look to off-load him and move on.
  14. Why the feck would he want to leave a massive club like RANGERS, who are top of the league, still heavily involved in two domestic cups and still in europe. Just to join a pishy wee club like Fulham, who are going to be involved in horrendous relagation battle which they WILL LOSE. Daniel, please wake up son. It's downwards only, if you leave the BEARS big man. :admin:
  15. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3056146,00.html New development in the Faddy saga. Interesting to see who the other club is, fair chance it'll be the tattie munchers. I would be amazed if it was us, given his price tag. Unless there is something in the story about Hutton and the toffees. Maybe a swap and cash for the Gers?
  16. Spot on. Why the feck did we buy Broadfoot? Can't do much for the confidence of these younger players when they're seeing over the hill wage collectors coming in and getting the nod before them. Typical WS move. Ignore the young, buy the aged. Still, he may prove us all wrong and turn out to be a decent short term signing...................Here's hoping.
  17. Just heard it on SSN. Matt Taylor has agreed to join Bolton. Fee is undisclosed. Pity, but probably out our price range anyway. Sorry Gazza. Never saw your post.
  18. Chris Burke by a country mile. Wee man has made a huge difference since he's come back.
  19. I read this morning that Peter Grant is in the picture. Gee, like that would be a step forward.
  20. RIP phil. Our thought are with you and your family.
  21. Well done David Edgar, great read. I would love to read the responses from the dhims.
  22. I'm quite surprised at how many of the guys think that WS is going to get every penny of any money brought in by the sale of players. Let's assume AH goes in january and we do get 8 mill for him. I doubt very much if DM will hand the whole lot over to Watty. I think it'll take the sale of two or three more( cousin, Hemdani and possibly Boyd ) for WS to be able to go and spend any reasonably significant amount of money. In saying that, DM should realise that by giving WS the funds to bring in some quality will give us an even better chance of winning the league and guaranteeing CL football for next season. That's 10 million reasons DM should not need reminding of.
  23. I assume that'll be the money for you know who.
