If Kyle can see it, Steve can see it, and ... I can see it, here's hoping to christ Walter can see it and doesn't play him in sodding defence. Kyle is a striker, a goal getter, a front man with the talent to do it at this level and higher. For God's sake give the bugger his chance, and make it impossible to drop him.

Admittedly the last player we brought in from Falkirk way didn't work out for one reason or another, but would Arfield be a useful addition? It's just my own suggestion, but he does seem to rather make them tick, and has a nice touch and control which is handy in the middle to front of the park. Falkirk play good football but are toothless up front, which isn't really his fault. Would it be worthwhile bringing in a guy like this on the relative cheap?

Way to undermine a boss. If it was a great signing, it wasn't his responsibility. If it was a terrible signing, it was.

It's so bizarre - all these rejects who weren't good enough for a completely shitty Celtic team are being snapped up to play at a higher level. Quite puzzling.

Great player, one of the best strikers we've had in the past 5 years. Was hated for not bleeding blue, basically.

Should have known you'd hate him too

Agree with every word of this post. It's almost identical to what I was going to say.

We have basically 4 'strikers' at the club right now - Novo, Lafferty, Fleck and the relatively untried Little. If Walter continues with the 4-4-2 (and there's no reason to believe he won't) then one assumes Novo will resume on the left flank where he left off, which means there are only Lafferty, Fleck and Little left. And if Lafferty starts on the right with Fleck and Little preferred up top, he might as well pack his bags because it would be clear Walter doesn't intend to ever use him correctly.

Gersnet totally unusable with snow animation

Surely those rusty old things were for exclusive school 'use'. I never saw one of them outside one. -

Remember the shambles that was Street Fighter 2 on the Amiga? -
I'll just politely disagree while sticking pins in your voodoo doll

So if he plays up front for the next month or so and scores a fair few goals and plays well, you'll be the first on here saying you were wrong?

Brought in a load of shite did Eck... Boumsong, Prso, Buffel, Kyrgiakos, Ferguson, Wattereus... When Eck had money he actually performed well. It was when he was forced into bosmans that he signed garbage. Mainly because only garbage was willing to come here.

Rubbish rubbish defender and if Wigan want to improve then signings like this are baffling.
-
His contacts aren't really that great, but he has been known to get a few things very accurate indeed.

Very true. Since the Mulgrew incident he seems to be surrounded by baggage. The problem is much of it comes from his supposed own supporters. I'm not sure what kind of place his head is in, but I suspect he needs support to gain approval, rather than the negative stigma which seems to be following him these days.

Ferguson was a player who'd reached his sell by date at Ibrox, and one who it was clear still had plenty of quality - but it was going to take a departure to a new club for it ever to come back. Finished? Aye right. I have a small fondness for Birmingham thanks to him and their Rangers and Scotland contingent.
-
I liked him and he's another one who never got anything like a fair crack of the Smith whip.
-
Wouldn't be totally shocked if Wilson left, felt he was treated with no fairness at all when he excelled in the first team but got dumped when Bougherra's histrionics had faded and he returned to the team. Fleck has been fair lukewarm - he has much to do to prove his quality.
-
I suspect Novo will return to his left wing slot, and Fleck may just get his chance in behind Lafferty up front.
-
I suspect this has been touched on elsewhere, maybe in the lynchmob thread, but with Boyd out for a while now, Lafferty finally has a serious chance to get played in his best position and soften the blow of Boyd's absence. As a number of us have said, he's generally excelled when played as a striker for us - it is his best slot, he has an eye for goal, and now seems like, admittedly belatedly, the opportunity for him to show his many doubters that he has the quality to play for Rangers. I don't know if he can get all the goals of messyrs Boyd and Miller, but we'd be seriously struggling up front if we didn't have Lafferty. I don't expect his harsh critics to give him an ounce of credit should he perform as I expect him to, but it'll be nice to know such passionate ire aimed at him was misguided.

Kyle Lafferty opens his heart on debt claims - and Old Firm horror tackle
Danny replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
See that ESPN headline about John Terry saying that it's been crucial for the big 3 of himself, Drogba and Lampard to hold the club together while they've gone through so many managers and have had chaotic times? They titled the headline with a big lie: WE RUN CHELSEA. And even the article said 'John Terry has claimed the trio of him, Lampard and Drogba are bigger than any manager ever will be'. The press are lying, manipulative scum whose agenda is to sell papers and get web hits. It is nothing to do with the truth. -

Now that Jerome Rothen has gone, it's time for a new scapegoat. And for the past few weeks, it's become abundantly clear that scapegoat is Kyle Lafferty. In this article he's being accused of being skint and bankrupt - to counter those claims he foolishly points out the extent to which he is not skint or bankrupt. In doing so, while showing he's not skint, he looks a little cocky - but that clearly isn't his intention and only those with an axe to grind against him will use it as ammo to attack him with. There are some hateful and petty remarks being thrown around. And I find it quite tiresome and unfair on a young guy who's still getting to grips with where he is now. -
Looks like he wants to make absolutely sure no women get signed. The guy is a tube. Mind you at least he's not rabbiting on about monkeys on his back this time.

Perhaps, but no other Portuguese teams have been linked?
