Yes indeed. Presumably it would be all the more embarrassing if it were their own minutes silence being disrespected rather than somebody else's.
-
Gerrard has enough experience of players to make a decision on him after a few training sessions. We will see.
-
Again I was working and didn't see it and while i'm disappointed at the loss we weren't given an embarrassing trouncing away from home. I never expected the bonus of group stage football anyway so the fact we're still in the knockout rounds mix with two games remaining is good enough for me at this point in the rebuild.

I don't see it happening but I would take Rooney in a heartbeat providing it wasn't costing an arm and a leg. He wont have the pace he once had but pace isn't what made him a great. He still has all the other attributes that made him a great and he would score and create for us. If it were up to him I think he might do it as a gesture to Gerrard. But would his American side who are reportedly paying him around £200,000 a week which we could cover a relatively tiny fraction of want to put him into a league of 'hammer throwers' where the chance of injury is ever present ? I imagine they would think it a good idea to have him playing and keeping match fit during their close season but Scotland might not be a desired location for them.

Gerrard brands Daniel Candeias' red card an 'embarrassment'
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
He did nothing to warrant the second yellow and I can see no way it wont be rescinded. How in the world could they explain justification for it. He did absolutely nothing. Booked for being manhandled by Ferdinand? -
Does Alfredo Morelos get the credit he deserves? Should Gerrard target Wayne Rooney on loan? It's pretty much impossible to plan ahead as far as Euro participation income goes and that's my major concern for the near term future. As things stand Euro group stage qualification is our only path to some major extra income and while we may be pretty much guaranteed to be capable of gaining a Euro spot in the league long term actually qualifying for group stages is another thing entirely.

I will be looking for nothing less than a minimum second at the end of this season. There have been problems killing off opposition who simply park the bus and that's effectively almost all of them. But i'm hoping for the answer to that to emerge no later than the close of the January window. In the meantime we have to remain within touching distance of the top which we currently are.

That's the heart of it. Aside from the fact that the recent incident has nothing to do with Gerrard or Rangers as far as i'm aware the film is about his playing career. Not Lennon not Hibs not Hearts nor Scottish football in general which he never played in. I would have cancelled too. Hope they're now pissed off that they lost the chance of an interview with a football legend due to their side tracking.

Not before we have an investigation into the crowd goading antics of Lennon and his farcical simulation after being hit on the jacket by a coin. In addition there is no "anti-Irish racism". If anything it's anti republicanism and that's a political stance just as the refusal to wear poppies is. Unless they want us to turn it around and claim that's anti-British racism.

Financial results further detailed here.

Around the 42 second mark you can clearly see a coin bounce off his chest. He looks down to see what it is, sees it's a coin and then decides to fall to the ground clutching his jaw. This video is unlisted so wont show up on searches.

Presumably Kaffliks since Lennon probably doesn't know that's not a race either. It's now beginning to emerge that there was no hanging effigy of him it was graffiti saying hang Lennon. We can't expect a man who doesn't know the difference between graffiti and effigy to grasp the intricacies of race. He wont be leaving hubz because if he did who would now hire this obnoxious clown who consistently rolls from one controversial riot inciting incident to the next.

Lennons recent record. Killie v Hibs 3 match ban for conduct. Rangers v Hibs 3 match ban for conduct. Hibs v Morton 2 match ban for conduct. Brondby v Hibs 4 match ban for conduct then extended by further 1 match ban again for conduct. That's only within the last two years. Obviously all down to sectarianism within Scottish footballing authorities and UEFA too. Everybody picks on poor old Lennon while he never puts a foot wrong to merit it.

Steven Gerrard, the only footballer ever to score in an FA Cup, Champions League, League Cup and Uefa Cup final, has been reflecting on his triumphs and struggles since joining Liverpool's academy at the age of eight. In 'Make Us Dream', the Rangers manager said during his playing career he often questioned whether he was "worthy enough" and added that "football is not about turning up and playing, it's about dealing with everything that comes with it." The documentary will be satellite broadcast to cinemas in the UK on 15 November and then streamed globally on Prime Video.

James Dornan: Clubs must face sanctions for crowd disorder...
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
When did they ever care about assaults on players? -
I don't think it's the place of the crowd to be making such responses to an under par performance. That's the managers job and I'm more than confident he's stating in no uncertain terms that it's not good enough. Behind closed doors which is the proper place for it. Though he did in fact recently state publicly that if the players aren't up to our expectations they will be replaced. I would prefer the crowd respond with a dignified silence and leave the booing to the manager. It gets the same message across.

So is THIS racism Neil? Wonder where that type of 'mentality' stems from Neil? Isn't that the truth Neil Lennon comments copied from https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46073396
-
Exactly what I said, he's a full blown riot waiting to happen. I'm now hoping we get a similar response to this from current and not former police chiefs. There is no way to favourably spin his antagonistic antics. His agents spin of racism which even if it were true and which I would vehemently dispute is still no excuse for someone in his position to be goading volatile crowds. Ryan Jack gets far worse from sheep followers yet we see no such response from him and if we did they would be down on him like a ton of bricks. This latest incident should be the end of the line for Lennon and his goading of volatile crowds.

We're going to see what the Arsenal revival really amounts to when they face unbeaten Liverpool with home advantage.

Good post from a Hearts forum on the whole Lennon situation and not just this incident. Other times when he has been 'having a bit of fun' but obviously never goading an already volatile crowd.
