While an extremely wealthy individual or individuals would be great isn't it better that we spend moderately and live within our means. If we are guaranteed a £5m budget for the next 4 or 5 years before any profit from european football and player sales then I think that is more substainable. The why, where and who will be very interesting but the WHEN is what we all want to know.

Judging by the goals Hooper has scored up here someone like Sharp or Maynard could be a good signing. Sharp has only been at Scunthorpe for less than a year having cost £1.15m so I think they would be looking to double their money at least! Maynard would cost more.

We have to produce a better performance which should yield a better result. I can't say I'm particularly confident but if we score first I reckon we'll win. Mhanks 0 Rangers 1

A couple of decent bosmans: Oscar Wendt from FC Copenhagen and Marek Cech from West Brom. Both left sided nudge, nudge! -

Wilkins is a non starter on the financial side surely. I reckon McCoist will opt for a former player - possibly Gough, Brown or could Laudrup be tempted into a coaching role? -
Will any of the journalists present have the balls to ask Ally if he will follow in Walters conservative footsteps or will he try and be more expansive.

At the moment it's difficult to think we'll win our two games in hand never mind every other game but as you say perhaps a positive reaction from management and players can be the only positive from yesterday.

The £5m over 5 seasons is before any profit from transfers and money generated from European football. Or that's what I took from it. Still, no point worrying about that until it happens.

Seen it in a few places now, BBC and Official Website. We play the Scottish Cup 5th round replay on the 2nd March then the following evening we're away to Dundee Utd? That can't be right surely? I assume the Dun Utd fixture hasn't been rescheduled yet.

Well based on yesterdays debacle (and others) he could sell McGregor, Whittaker, Bougherra, Davis, Edu and Lafferty and use that money to rebuild a team. It's so infuriating to think we wasted so much on guys like Lafferty, Beattie and Edu when we could have had so much better.

Did he mention Hooper throwing an elbow or punch at Weir and being fortunate to be on the pitch? -

I think that's a likely scenario and hopefully the debt is moved promptly away from Lloyds. Isn't this what happened at Hearts, Man Utd, Liverpool (with Hicks and Gilette)? It seems fairly commonplace in football.

A little imagination from our management team would be welcome. What about Oscar Wendt from Copenhagen? 25 yrs old, left sided 6 months left on his contract or the young lad Hayes of Inverness - he's a good player or a loan deal for Szabolcs Huszti from Zenit. -
According to STV Rangers confirm Commons deal is OFF - failing to agree personal terms.

I'd rather have Novo back than Boyd

I read this on FF and I have to say he looks a good player. However, he's contracted until 2013, valued around the £3m mark and is Groningens top scorer this season. I'd be shocked and stunned if we sign this lad and the fact he's a regular for his club makes a loan move seem unlikely.

The management have been aware of the possibility that Miller may leave for months so I trust they have someone in mind to replace Miller be that someone new or possibly Naismith. If it is Naisy then I trust they will spend the Miller fee on a midfield replacement - hopefully wide left! Boyd is a resounding NO from me!

Miller signs for Bursaspor - Undisclosed fee
Stefanovitch replied to Beattie's topic in Rangers Chat
I reckon the Turks will want him now if it's a 2 1/2 year deal. I read they're unwilling to offer any more than £500k which although not as much as Brum better than nothing.- 275 replies

He has a decent left peg but that's all I remember of him - Gomis a better player? or for that matter is Ness a better player?
