  1. Particularly the older generation of fans, talk about the qualities instilled in the club by the likes of Struth and Greig. We talk of class and dignity. Of respect. If we are to hold on to these values of being typically representative of Rangers then we as fans should endeavour to exercise such attributes. Particularly in light of something such as the current topic here.
  2. Though he's not really played any better there when given the opportunity this season.
  3. They need not agree with Smith nor Lennon. If the Old Firm manager's call the shots, why do we even have anyone else running the SPL?
  4. Where have you read that? Reading comprehension not one of your strong points.
  5. Wonder who will be the next unfortunate player to get OTT abuse completely unrelated to his level of performance? Whittaker looks like an early contender. Not saying he's been brilliant, but once the target has been picked people go after them mercilessly completely ignoring how the play in any individual game and claiming they always play in the manner that reflects there own staunch view of the individual. Maurice Ross Charlie Adam Alan Hutton Barry Ferguson Lee McCulloch Not a terrible list of players (possibly Ross excepted ). Yet you'd think it was from reading a Rangers MB over the years.
  6. Another CumbernauldGers special.
  7. With Miller, Beattie, Velicka and Loy out. Overall stronger squad potentially. Only real miss is Miller.
  8. Girl comes into my work who plays for Arsenal and England. Will find out if she has a sense of humour.
  9. Yep, don't see how bringing the troops into it makes it ok. Suprised by MF. Normally a top, top contributor. Nothing from MF would surprise me unfortunately.
  10. I signed. I would hope others will. Only takes two seconds. Might not come to anything, but it's important to support the club where we can (though BD's post leaves me questioning the financial issues here).
  11. If he stays, helps us to the title and leaves for nothing it will be interesting to see if he gets the same abuse as Boyd whereby people insinuate he has intentionally and vindictively screwed the club out of a fee. I would hope not.
  12. Thanks for the educated analysis BD.
  13. Cheers Brahim. I was by no means suggesting it was the only or main factor, there are of course many others of which you have identified some. However there does appear to be a clear correlation between the two factors. I believe supporting a larger league of higher quality is definitely going to rely on the size of the life blood of the game; the fans. I dont think we can afford to over-stretch ourselves. Having said that, I definitely don't want a reduced league size.
  14. Interesting info their zappa. Personally (and I know we sort of touched on this before) would be to look at the populations of the various countries and see if there is any statistical significance there between the groups. I definitely think that a countries population must to some extent have a bearing on it's ability to sustain a larger number of top clubs.
  15. Kerkar has been playing LB in bounce games. There's Wylde and then Whittaker and Foster can fill in there. Would rather see midfielders till.
  16. Yet you've still required 3 people to explain it to you.
  17. Or two people start talking and one is slightly right of centre, one if slightly left, but due to the nature of the debate each debator ends up at the extreme end on either side of the spectrum of views. In reality they weren't all that far apart but the nature of internet based debate ends up completely polarising opinion.
  18. Don't be daft. He's differentiating between fans who use forums and those who don't. There are some fans who 1 - do not use forums, nor attend games. 2 - do not use forums but attend games. 3 - use forums , don't attend games. 4 - use forums and attend games. 1 and 2 are not online fans. 3 and 4 are. Online views often seem more extreme than talking with fans face to face and that is common for many topics, not just football. I don't think you even understand that term you hate.
  19. In my experience it's not just this forum and to answer the other question, yes. Unfortunately.
  20. Can't see that it will piss anyone off, though some may not be too interested in it. No idea about financials myself but if the half-yearly accounts are overdue hopefully we will see them soon. With the fact that a lot of CL payments are probably not paid yet, how accurate will they be in any case? I bet there will be other payments missing at this stage no?
  21. Perhaps the best response.
  22. Wabash, if you are so adamant you are correct, post your facts and stats to prove it. It is not in the spirit of debate to state you are right and tell everyone else to go an research the point. I don't understand why you are continually evasive, talk in riddles, avoid direct questions and generally avoid answering questions all the time. If you have evidence supporting your point, post it.
  23. Surely that would be like adding an inferior James Beattie to the squad. Big target man, lacking pace. Makes no sense on any level.
  24. Just ignoring the fans then? Obviously fans are not business brains as a general rule, however we do support the game and are it's lifeblood. I don't think anyone is a fan of a ten team league and surely for some teams it's like turkeys voting for xmas?
  25. All I think of when I see this thread is Steve Davis. A man who gets off very lightly when he doesn't perform because of what we know he is capable of. An EPL player who is supposed to be more of a creative influence than a defensive midfielder. Needs to get back to his A game.
