  1. Totally agree Beattie. Surely we should utilise Weir's experience to try and turn him into something than a waste of money! Cos lets face it, we ain't gonna make it back if we sell him on!!
  2. I think Man U will do it. They've got the mentality and detrmination to do it. And I think they will win Champ League as well.
  3. Of course. he's a centre half with a dodgy knee. Definately rangers class. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~1004592,00.html
  4. We're of to LA to play the Galaxy in May. Wonderif the missus will fancy that one? http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~1004456,00.html
  5. He maybe didn't have tme to become a hero, but I remember him from his time here and I remember how good he was. The sort of midfielder I like, or in Advocaat's mind, the sort of right-back he didn't.
  6. If that happens, I'll shave my nuts! He was never really gonna be good enough, not when you've been reared on Albertz, McCall, Gazza, Tugay, Gio and Gattuso in midfield, but he'll do a job keeping some team in the Championship. Good luck to him, did nothing with us to make me wish him ill.
  7. Healy seems to be a decent shout. I think he's scored something like 25 in 50 internationals. And playing for NI, to get that sort of return is pretty good. His hattrick against Spain was class, would be happy to see him at Ibrox.
  8. It'll be a shame to see him go. I've been a critic at times, but he has tried and tried and never given up. Would love to see him stay on in some capacity, possibly working with some of the younger foriegners that come over, giving them a grounding in what it is like to play for Rangers.
  9. He's excellent in Football Manager, but I'n sure he's older than 16.
  10. Basically it goes back to the first World Cup. Uruguay won it, therefore the next team to beat them became unofficial world champs. Then the team that beat that team became world champs. And so on . Georgia were holders of the 'title', funnily enough through beating Uruguay, up until saturday. Now it's us!
  11. Click on teh link Gribz. It has fook all to do with the real World Champs.
  12. Exactly. His first touch outside the box is usually a thirty yard pass to the opposition. Beattie also has the pace to run onto through balls assuming his paper hamstrings are up to it. He'll harass the defence and track back when needed. Boyd just doesn't do that. Yes, he is the most likely to snatch us a goal, but 0-0 is the most realisticscore to play for.
  13. hey Fras, you know you're getting my vote for Funniest User. That Gavin Rae thread still cracks me up!
  14. Bless! well, you keep trying hard and you might get it back one day.
  15. That's the best gersnet's funniest user can come up with? Pah, I laugh at your feeble attempts
  16. Thanks for the advice Gaz, but I'm quite happy with my life the way it is. I'm sure no-one on here will judge you.
  17. Well done Gazza. Honesty is the best way! We accept you.
  18. :admin: :admin:
  19. The big match-up on wednesday sees defending World Champs Italy take on current and all-time Unofficial World Champs, Scotland in a winner-takes-all game that will see the victors crowned Greatest Team the World Has Ever Seen. C'mon the Scotland!!!! http://www.ufwc.co.uk/
  20. I agree with Gazza, Alexander should play. He has done really well, both left and right back over the last few matches for us.
  21. Brown's half hour on Saturday was excellent. He added pace and a bitof heart as well as a decent amount of skill. Able to beat a player and then get his pass away. Teale was pretty hopeless so I think a straight swap is called for. I wouldn't bring Pressley back in purely because weir and McManus did well on Saturday. If we're going to have one up, as looks likely, I would have Beattie as he is a smidgeon more clinical than Miller and Miller's confidence looks shot. Beattie will be buzzing after his goal. I would also bring Dailly in as a holding midfielder behind ferguson and Hartley. I think we have as good a chance as we have ever had at getting a result in Bari. Even if we don't we will have played every team, including Italy and Ukraine AWAY and be sitting top of the group. hat in itself is something to be proud of. Mon the Scotland!!
  22. He was getting booed from the first minute, but so were the rest of the Georgia players. Any time they had possession for more than a couple of passes. As for the anti-Rangers element - if any player was getting it tight yesterday it was Kenny Miller. The atmosphere was brilliant yesterday Cammy and the way things have been going, you should get yourself along to Hampden.
  23. C'mon Cammy, he was playing against Scotland. What, were we supposed to applaud when he scored against us? And it wasn't just him - the opposition got booed the whole match. It's called creating an atmosphere. It had absolutely hee-haw to do with him having played for Rangers. As for the game, we should have had a 3 goal lead at half time but the chances fell for Kenny 'Forrest Gump' Miller. But we kept going and are still in with a chance of qualification. Not really holding my breath but it's been fun so far.
  24. Ssshhhh! She thinks I'm doing overtime!!
  25. That'll be a shame. I think the guy has loads of talent, maybe not the right attitude to play at Rangers though. Maybe trying a smaller fish in a bigger pond wold be the right way to go for him, but I had really high hopes for Buffel. On teh right day he can win any match.
