  1. It depends how you classify it. Is it epitomising Rangers, is it talent, is it goals scored, trophies won? To me, it has to be the player that gave you most joy watching, someone who made me consistently enjoy watching rangers. There have been a fair few, mostly mentioned by Gribz, but one he missed andmy all-time favorite has to be Davie Cooper. A proper Ranger and a Scotsman who was up there with the best in the world on his day.
  2. --------------Goram----------- Stevens--Gough--Brown----Numan Laudrup--McCall--Gascoigne--Cooper --------McCoist-----Hateley Subs Klos Butcher Steven Walters Mols
  3. I think whoever wins the game between the two, wins the league. And i also think that whoever wins that one will go ahead and do the treble. Momentum will play a huge part.
  4. Tugay saved me from a kicking in Barcelona. had been to see Barce play Galatasaray and was in pub after the game. Gala fans came in, me and the missus had Barce scarves etc on and you could see they were looking for trouble. Started getting a bit of verbal from them until I mentioned rangers and Tugay, next thing I know we're all talking about how brilliant he was and were best buddies. At airport next day, they came over for a chat. Lovely chaps!!!
  5. Pretty much makes sense to most folk Fraser, but I can't see it happening, not when it would reqiuire us and them to only have 2 OF games. Also smaller clubs want toplay the big 2 4 times a year. It's al about the money.
  6. Idiotic idiots Roman Catholics?? Best i could come up with. I'll get me coat!
  7. Pathetic that people like that get exposure anywhere. They are absolute scum and should be rounded up and dumped on some shithole island and left ot it!
  8. Class player. Here's our new captain folks
  9. That's what you call service
  10. Fair eough. I happen to feel it's a legitimate point. I think the captaincy has always weighed heavy on Barry's shoulders and stifled his ability. To get the best out of Barry and for Barry to get the best out his career, whether here or elsewhere, I think a new captain is needed.
  11. This former Ger
  12. Definately Ronaldo. Giggs and Scholes have done well this year and Drogba has scored some fine goals but Ronaldo has been outstanding over the last few months. At the end of the day football is entertainment and that's what he provides.
  13. One of my hopes is to move Fergie on in the summer. I think he has a negative impact regardless on his performances on the pitch.
  14. is a fucking buffoon. In his NOTW column yesterday he slated Cristiano Ronaldo basically saying he was nothing more than a trumped up nancy boy cheat.I'm sorry McNee but have you seen that boy play football lately? Surely it's about entertainment. He's by far the best player about at the moment. The man is an idiot. Also, slagged off the 2 Rangers youth guys whose Bebo sites had dodgy stuff on them saying that at 15 Rangers shouldn't have allowed them to have their own websites. thousands of 15 year olds across Scotland have these McNee - do your research!!! Prick
  15. I've never thought of Barry as captain material - even when he was winning us the treble before Blackburn. The nonsense under PLG underlined it as do his performances as captain of Scotland. I think it's detrimental to his game in the same way it held McStay back as captain of Celtic. They were both too busy thinking about what others were doing to concentrate on their own games - in BFs case, breaking beynd the strikers, controling the game and in McStay's playing square passes. Anyway, I don't really see anyone in next years potential squad as captain material. Weir also has never really struck me as a captain and he's only here short term, Hemdani is French - surrender monkey - and I have always felt the captain should have English as his native tongue (another mark against BF!). Thompson I think is too young, so who is it to be? I think when Walter goes window shopping, this should be something he seriously considers. Not only does he need an improved class of player, he needs to find himself an on-field lieutenant! Any ideas????
  16. That was a cracking read Cammy. I think wee Dick gets too much stick. Yes it ended badly and yes he was the manager who spent 12 million on Flo. But he brought us Van Bronckhorst, Numan, who was one of the finest players I've seen in Scottish football and Mols, made us a competitive force in Europe, won trophies. What more do you want from a manager? As for the current situation, I think SDM will have to release money in the summer. I expect something around 6-8 million plus whatever Walter rakes in from selling players. As for Walters appointment, in the short term it has worked well - what I'm hoping is that McCoist is being groomed to take over. I have a feeling that he will be a great manager and I'm glad he's here and glad he's basically doing an apprenticeship. I seem to have said this the last two close seasons, but my hope for next year is to build the squad. Let Celtic have the title, concentrate on building a strong unit that wil be together for the next 5-7-10 years. The nucleus is there - we have the best young left back in Scotland, a goalscorer, a reliable keeper. Rome wasn't built in a day and the 9IAR squad wasn't built in a year. We need to have patience and a bit of faith. But if SDM doesn't back Walter this summer, we're fooked!!!
  17. Any chance of a few funky new smilies. We used to have some cools ones before the other board moved - I miss the guy with an uzi!!
  18. The second one isn't bad but the first is rank. The collar is naff and as has been said the blue is too light.
  19. To be fair, it was a good head butt. About 4 million quids worth!! I think Ritchie was about 48 days and he never played a game. Saw in the paper today(yesterday - night shift fucks me up!) the Cypriot club he's at are going to release him cos he's played 95 minutes this season in August before getting injured. Shame cos he was a decent player back when we signed him.
  20. Tell that to Davie Weir!
  21. Gordan Petric did not bad for us if I remember correctly. What about Paul Ritchie, Allan Johnston, Kenny |Miller. And Duncan Ferguson must be one of the biggest let downs I ever saw. All that hype, the big fee and then no goals!!
  22. Griobz, don't hold back. Let it all out!! Aiden McGeady for me. Twisted little snidey overrated turncoat one trick pony ugly fuckwit.
  23. They are just the best of a bad lot. One of my mates never misses a game and he has been moaning all season about how pish they are.
  24. Never realised that he was still playing. Is his brother still going as well?
  25. Foreign Keeper I always like Charbonnier, never thought he got a fair chance but then he ended up with Klos ahead of him. Defender Has to be Numan, one of the really really top notch players to have played in Scotland. Midfield Tough one, between gattuso, Der hammer and Gazza. Probably Gazza just for the sheer joy he could bring by watching him in full flow Winger Laudrup. Easiest question I've ever answered! Striker I'm tempted by Amato as I thought he was a great player, another who never really got much of a shot but i'll go for Mols because he was another who was brilliant to watch. the way he could turn a defender was spectacular! Scottish Keeper As if you have to ask - Goram Defender Gough - not just for the defensive side, but his leadership was superb. Midfield McCall because he just never gave in. Winger Could we not extend it to 15 years and have Cooper? It'll hve to be McCann as I can't think of another. StrikerNo matter what age he was, Super-Ally
