Paul Gascoigne charged with sexual assault on Durham train
Bill replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
What "victim" is that then? Or are you a victim in your world if you merely claim to be one? In my world you are a victim only if you are proven to be one in a court of law. This also answers the last question you put to me. -

It wouldn't be failing public interest if Vanguardbears articles were published in every daily newspaper in the country. -
I think we need to be a little smarter how we use Ryan Kent. He became regarded as our creative player and certainly showed some great personal form recently but it seemed other players around him were becoming increasingly inhibited and relying too much on him to provide the inventive spark. Against Motherwell that responsibility was shared among so many other players and the result was overwhelming. We need to find a role for Kent that allows him to contribute but also allows the rest of the team to function better than it had been in previous weeks.

Is that one of those questions that only ever gets asked when you already know the answer but don't agree with it? The same as my previous sentence? ? -

If his accuser had to declare her identity you can be sure this case would never have come to court. Either both should enjoy anonymity ... or neither -

Virtual embargo on SNP comment about Celtic FC paedophilia scandal. SNP cover up over Salmond sexpestery being suppressed by ... SNP. So I think we can expect an imminent condemnation from Nukla of Gascoigne's association with Rangers. -
Some of them do. The Sunday Times and Sunday Telegraph are excellent. The Telegraph in general offers some quality insight into current affairs. By quality, I mean writing that often leaves you with an altered opinion or a much clearer understanding and better informed. Most of the rest - I'd agree with you.
-
So ... does anyone know the situation with Ryan Jack?
-
There most definitely IS a place and a future for quality newspapers. You don't just buy them for "news" but for a deeper insight and understanding of the news, without which we might as well all read the Sun and stop at the headlines. The problem we have is that truly intelligent comment is increasingly difficult to find. Sadly, the Scotsman is no longer a quality newspaper and wouldn't be missed if it was never printed again. If the best you can do is mimic the deliberately skewed opinions of your owners then no one will miss you for long.

Someone else told me that the SNP saying after the next election will be "well fuck you then, ungrateful basturts" -

This is essentially just one more entry in a growing catalogue of deniable truths that characterise 21st century Scotland. Truths that everyone understands but few willingly admit because they are as unacceptable as they are deniable 1. That Celtic FC has been a safe harbour for paedophiles for many years. 2. That the criminal goings on at Celtic have been widely known for as many years but swept under a carpet of denial and intimidation. 3. That even in this age of enlightenment there remains a cohesive communal identity in certain parts of Scottish society that is built around common Irish ancestry and shared catholicism, which remains loyal to broad concepts like Irish republicanism and associated anti-British sentiment. 4. That the bond between Celtic FC and the Irish catholic community is profound and long-established. 5. That the SNP has long courted this Irish catholic community and finally wrested it from its previous home at Scottish Labour. 6. That the SNP came to power only after it secured the support of the Irish catholic community and is entirely dependent upon them for its political future. 7. That the SNP will tolerate and suppress exposure of any crime, any shame, at any price, if it protects or bolsters its relationship with the Irish catholic bloc in Scotland. 8. That the SNP and therefore the governance of Scotland is dependant upon, and in thrall to, a bloc of voters whose allegiance is routinely traded in return for cover-ups, partial treatment, financial advantage, even the sympathetic interpretation of legislation. -
But I thought politics should be kept out of football. The climate in Doha is excellent in the winter months

Far too much mutual ill-feeling has gone under the bridge for many Rangers fans to give a damn about international football. I honestly lost all interest years ago and only notice internationals because of frustration at the absence of Rangers games every few weeks. -
As long as he recovers to play for Rangers because he's been outstanding recently.

Ditto ... but hopefully the excellent RTV will be on duty as well.

Hardly a premium broadcasting partner but probably all we could hope to attract and definitely a good match for the SFA.

You just go ahead and do what you think is right. I'm sure I'll cope with it if you will ?

What happened to the admin directive that demeaning comments would no longer be tolerated? Or does that not apply to admin itself?
