  1. If we need to show our players examples of Brown acting the idiot to spur them on, we may as well give up now. Huge game tonight. Hopefully lessons have been learned from last week. Our defence has looked a bit shaky in recent matches and needs to get back on track. Whether Morelos starts or not will be interesting. Roofe could be the difference again - he has the ability, I just hope he gets the chance(s) to show it.
  2. No but they stopped Celtc's run of success, which is more than we have managed since we returned to the top flight.
  3. Ross County disagree.
  4. Elite sports teams aren't effected by the restrictions, so there'll be no changes to any fixtures.
  5. Will Morelos be in the starting XI at McDiarmid Park, I wonder...
  6. Strangely, the matches in Perth and Paisley worry me more than the matches against the two Oirish sides.
  7. Why refer to Robinson as a filthy piece of scum? Because he parks the bus playing away at a team that costs about 100 times more than his team?
  8. Both clubs agreed to it (presumably so the staff can spend more time with their families). Same with the 6pm kick off versus St Johnstone.
  9. It's worth noting that the St Mirren game has been moved to a 3pm kick off too.
  10. All league games are huge but the next few weeks will tell us a lot about whether we're going to win the league. I expect us to drop points but hope I'm wrong.
  11. Good victory. Things went against us in the first half but the manager and players turned it around and in the end, 3-1 was well deserved.
  12. I read that we haven't won a league match immediately after losing a cup match, under Gerrard (not sure if this is 100% true). However, we have reacted well after disappointing results this season and hopefully that continues today. The next five matches are huge and today's is probably the easiest of the lot - we have to show our intent from the off.
  13. Did you miss St Mirren's black socks?
  14. The compensatory control aspect is fascinating. I wonder what percentage of football fans are afflicted with it? I think superstition is nonsense but also have lucky socks, scarves, trainers and have to sit or stand with my arms crossed when Rangers take a penalty (I also refrain from gulping). Big game on Saturday. I'm hopeful Wednesday was just a bad day at the office and we'll get back to winning ways - I'd assume SG will go with our strongest side, particularly in the full back positions and in midfield.
  15. Rangers would have to drop points for it to go to the wire this season - surely no Bear wants us to lose or draw matches (or wants that lot to win every week)? I'd much rather we wrapped the title up weeks in advance.
  16. Seems our squad isn't as good as we all thought then. Couple of injuries to key players and things could fall apart (again).
  17. We've been saying that our bench/squad looks strong this season. If we can't rotate against the likes of St Mirren, we obviously don't have a strong squad at all. A few players didn't play well last night, Gerrard couldn't find a way to fix things and St Mirren did their job - that's why we lost.
  18. I shake my head every time our team appears and we're wearing white socks with the home shirt. The world would be a better place without white socks. I know St Mirren (and Dundee Utd) wear black socks but what's wrong with red?
  19. And there were so many televised Celtc matches that coincided with Marley's UK visits during the 1970s, of course...
  20. I hope you're right, asil but only time will tell.
  21. We're not halfway yet and if the last two seasons are any indication...
  22. Agreed. Kent flatters to deceive whereas Hagi, despite being off-form, always creates chances.
  23. I'm going for Goldson because his goal was the best thing about last night's performance.
  24. It was another game where SG's subs and their timing didn't work. Kent and Itten weren't doing much and Bassey had a bit of a nightmare. Waiting until the 82nd minute to bring Hagi on wasn't great. I'm wondering whether Gerrard will win a trophy with Rangers. This was probably the easiest chance, so far but we blew it again.
