  1. McCarthy signed for £2.5million which is an absolute bargain!
  2. Yes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Carew
  3. LFC are going to lose today because: 1) Skrtel is playing and he was given the run around by the part-timers of Havant & Waterlooville. 2) Kuyt is playing and he can't remember where the goals are. 3) Chelsea are jammy buggers! I hope LFC prove me wrong tho! Come on you Reds!
  4. Straight swap for Milan Baros I think.
  5. In all fairness to Keegan, he doesn't really have much to work with at Newcastle at the moment. The squad is a shambles due to Allardyce's poor, poor summer signings. They'll probably give him some decent funds in the summer, but it could take a while for him to turn the club around.
  6. What can I say? I'm too lazy to type his whole name...
  7. For the money that is being quoted we should be investing in a proven targetman with plenty of experience. Laffs is still very raw, and at that price it's too much of a gamble.
  8. I've seen him at quite a few NI games, he's not worth £4m. Not yet anyway. He's kinda like the NI version of Peter Crouch.
  9. One criticism that has been levelled at Davis by the Fulham fans is that he is lightweight and not a ferocious tackler. I've seen Davis in the NI team, and he will bring quite a bit of guile. He has an eye for a good pass, and is very comfortable on the ball. He is quite short tho (similar build and height to Naismith & Burke). Hopefully he'll be a good signing for us, and that he'll make a permanent move in the summer.
  10. I'm fecking raging at this result! There is a lot of deadwood at Anfield that has to be gotten rid of sooner rather than later. Kewell and Kuyt probably being the most urgent.
  11. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Boab said at one time that he wouldn't want to play for any other SPL team other than Rangers. Maybe I imagined that tho?
  12. Is he still at Derby? Has he played much? Going to 'Well would probably be a good move for him.
  13. To be honest I'm surprised at Butcher being brought into the team in this capacity. What has he actually achieved as a manager/coach? Very little apart from getting his P45 every couple of years...
  14. I see the game has now been postponed. Reports that the weather is caused by a masonic/orange conspiracy are yet to be confirmed...
  15. It'll DEFINITELY come to an end if I did it!
  16. So if Preston play on a Tuesday will they be first name down on your betting slip from now on?
  17. I've seen an awful lot of Lafferty at the NI games. He's very raw, but he is talented, he'll learn a lot by being at a club the size of Rangers. I think he's only 19 or 20, so we'd be buying a lot of potential. £3.5m is an awfully big gamble, especially when you think that we are set to get £3m for Cousin.
  18. Excellent news! I just hope he can put his injuries behind him now.
  19. Have a look here Note to admin: If I've breached forum rules by doing this feel free to delete this post.
  20. I genuinely believe that Leeds won't go up, and I also think Dennis Wise was of the same opinion hence his move to Newcastle.
  21. I'm baffled if we are about to sign him. We have Broadfoot & Webster as cover for CB (Papac too) so why do we need him? Or is he being brought in to cover Thomson?
  22. If he is a professional then he will knuckle down train and play hard and earn a move to the EPL in the summer. If he is pouty and his attitude stinks then the EPL teams might not come knocking. They all know that he has a £3m release clause, so if he keeps on scoring then we get £3m and he gets his move to the EPL. Fingers crossed eh?
  23. Really can't fathom why he's going as DoF. David Pleat reckons it is a job for an older experienced man, so Wise being offered and taking it really is a strange one.
  24. I think we've dodged a bullet with Samaras. If we can get the Cousin deal sorted soon then I think we can start to see some movement in the transfer market.
