Which begs the question, what are D&P doing giving him PB status? I know they are there for the creditors, but an unsustainable bid would simply lead to another period of administration and the creditors being screwed once again.

 

Another period of administration could make their firm millions of pounds if they were appointed administrators again, which is very possible given that they now know the club inside out (or should do anyway).

That clarifies the situation perfectly for me. He's pulled out because he couldn't actually afford to run the club. Smart man actually because he's not in the type of rich bracket where he can afford to lose and write off thirty or forty million dollars. Buying Rangers could bankrupt a guy like Bill Miller.

 

I'm led to believe far more cash would be required for working capital in a newco scenario as opposed to the CVA scenario.

The state we are in, surprises aren't likely to be of the variety we would want. I said weeks ago that we were heading for a Pompey scenario, and I see no reason to change that view.

Blaming the fans is a bit poor to be honest. If he thinks the club is buggered, then say so - don't use some flimsy excuse.

 

Of course there's the very real possibility he was a stalking horse to gauge reaction to his kind of plan. If that is the case, then perhaps the real bidder will finally stand up.

Seems as though they can't make up their minds on that one. One minute it's end of May, next minute it's mid June. I'm at the point now where I don't believe a word those guys from Duff & Phelps are saying to us.
