Gers supporters will hand in postcards addressed to chief executive Graham Wallace at the stadium. The pre-printed cards will outline why Light Blues fans have not renewed their season tickets this summer. They will call for Wallace to provide them with legal assurances to protect both Ibrox and Murray Park. The postcards also demand a change of board and ask that "faceless investors" are named and removed. The protest, which has been organised by the Sons of Struth, follows the breakdown of talks between the Union of Fans and the board. Sons of Struth organiser Craig Houston said: "This will make a very public visual impact that will let the board and their faceless investors know how they feel." The union and the board met at Ibrox last Wednesday in an attempt to bring an end to the stand-off over season tickets. The union claimed the board would meet on Thursday to consider giving them legally binding assurances over the stadium and the training ground. But in a statement issued last Saturday night the club, who have made a "commitment" not to sell or sell and leaseback Ibrox in the next 12 months, denied that. Houston this week launched an online petition in response to that development. It called for Wallace to give written assurances that Ibrox will not be sold or used as security for any loans. Over 6,500 fans signed up to the petition that was emailed to Wallace and major shareholder Sandy Easdale. As in, have the SoS any sort of idea how such a "legal assurance" should look like to be actually legally binding? Demand a change of board. In what way? Houston's personal vendetta aside, what would they like to change? Faceless investors named AND removed? Now, the much cited faceless investors together own 10% of the club's shares. What exactly is the SoS' chagrin with them? They do understand that certain investors do not want to be named or connected directly, for all sorts of reasons. Not all of them have to be have an - always implied - evil background or plan. The main problem-makers appear to be Laxey and their hedge fund strategies. As for removing them ... what does the SoS reallistically expect the board to do here? Force them to sell their shares? ... such are the questions that arise when reading the above. There is no doubt whatsoever in the motives of the SoS and all their good intentions.
