I didnt feel this much nervous excitement even in 2008. I believe we CAN do it, but wouldnt say I am confident. I would actually be confident if Alfredo was fit as he would give their back line a torrid time of it. First 15 minutes ala Braga will do just fine - 3 goals in the first 15 I will happily take.... Absolutely bricking it ! Which is strange as we really have no right being this deep in European competition. It is absolute testament to Ross Wilson, Gerrard, Beale, Gio, Makaay, Jimmy Bell and all the backroom staff and playing squad that we are where we are. What an amazing achievement already. Whilst I can't wait until tomorrow, it'll be nervous, it'll be emotional and would like to think it'll be "entertaining" but I might me too nervous and emotional to truly enjoy it! If we qualify for the final, we will be (rightly) euphoric, up and it would rank as one of the best results in our history. However, if we fail to qualify, we will be (rightly) disappointed. No matter the outcome tomorrow we should be immensely proud of the players, management and club. Getting to 90mins (or 120mins / pens) away from a European final is already a brilliant achievement. Lets raise the roof from 1st to last minute, never underestimate the influence we can have.

I'm not confident, but I have been like that since we had to play Dortmund twice! Red Star twice! I was fairly confident against Braga. This is a very good side and it is going to take a huge effort from us tonight, it is doable but we really need to play our best, another early goal will be massive again tonight and will set the tempo. It's incredible that we have one match at Ibrox to win that will put us into a European final!!!, we can win it as I said but we are going to need to open up and defend well. I would play Balogun with Bassey moving to LB.

Reckon I'll lose about £90 on the flights if we don't make it. I don't really gamble, so figured a £90 decent odds bet every fifteen years or so is okay. Imagine the price increases if ourselves and West Ham get there!

For some strange reason, Fate would have it, that my favourite (and local) ice-hockey team squared up to the Red Bull ice-hockey incarnation in Germany in the final round of the play-offs for the title. So I got my over-dose of Red Bull these last 6 days, with that one game in Leipzig and four over here. As it happens, with three wins needed in a "Best of 5" series, the Eisbären Berlin clawed their way back from an initial home defeat in the first match, to make last night`s game the decisive one of the series. The chaps in white are the "good ones" and here`s how it went. I just hope, the lads in Blue follow suit today!

How he failed to deal with Casimero was awful enough as he set a standard he could not maintain. This ultimately led to players getting booked for very little compared to Casimeros challenges. Other incidents of note were Modric failing to be booked for raising his hands and grabbing a players throat. Foden being barged from the back by the CB then being penalised. Adding 6 minutes of added time? Ok Walker was injured but 6 minutes was ridiculous. It was almost as if he wanted Real to score. He then failed to add enough time in ET to accommodate the antics of Militoa who was deliberately put on in ET to waste time. If we get a ref like that tonight I'll be raging. I've no love for City and how they've risen through the ranks but let's not put Real Madrid up there as a some paragon of virtue. There is a reason they have 13 European Cup wins. They have bent and massaged the rules for years with their finances to ensure their position as a premier European force. Anyway, I hope Liverpool destroy them.
