It wasn't. We gave as good as we got, against a very good side, until the penalty/sending off.7 points

Kent, Kamara, Morelos and others are all proof that you should sell players when they are on a high.6 points

Sums up the team when I am more interested in the biscuit part of this thread6 points

I believe there were rules put in place when we joined the Lowland League to stop this eventuality. Think you can only play so many games for 1st team and Remain part of the B Team. I might be wrong, but remember reading thisstthe time.3 points

He has done ok of occasion but he has also been very much part of a creaking and poorly coordinated Rangers defence (and midfield who give the ball away too easily and often). Bottomline, he isn't a centre-half and wouldn't be playing there if we had managed the squad better. Needs a run in midfield to see if he is worth considering, when his loan expires. I've not seen enough yet to suggest that he is worth the fee mentioned in reports.3 points

Couldnt agree more. The amount of our fans who see Borna and immediately think he has had a bad game..... been our best player of late, quite comfortably too.3 points

I think Morelos can still play a big part this season. Kent and Kamara are nonentities.3 points

We've been saying for the last 3-4 windows that recruitment should be all about improving the first XI. We have failed miserably in that regard.3 points

He lives in Arkansas, so probably not many. I haven’t seen the team on the hoof for many years. Doesn’t stop me pontificating. (Is that an ok word here?)2 points

Why is Wright getting shat on..... in the Napoli thread.... when he didnt even feature ? Nothing quite like Rangers fans2 points

He isn't match sharp and to have started him against such fast and nippy quality last night wouldn't have been good for him or the team. Personally, I would have started King beside Goldson. Sands needs to be taken out of central defence against Dundee United and if not King, Davies should come in. Re. Money spent on Davies, would IMO, have been better used for a position where we don't have a quality young player coming through, such as King.2 points

In fairness, the ref got all the penalty incidents correct. He was, strangely, still honking though2 points

Matondo is a headless chicken with a worse first touch than me. Tillman has the heart of a pea They still have a future with us, but they need to up their levels and commitment drastically.2 points

The worst thing was that it was predictable a couple of months ago before this season started.2 points

To finish bottom of our CL group (with 1 point), second in the league (miles behind the vermin) and maybe a cup win, if the draws go our way and someone figures out how to beat the aforementioned vermin. All in all, I'm expecting it to be seriously underwhelming, at best.2 points

We needed a reaction from the team and we got one. We must build on this come Saturday.2 points

Reallity may be playing more of our youngsters and more pain. But it might be a way forward, if you appoint the right manager and SOMEHOW manage expectations down.2 points

Unfortunately Glen Kamara's desire crashed a long time ago. For the last two seasons at least, he's been a pale reflection of the player who joined us and it's no accident that no offers have come in for him. It's clear he's one of those who should have been moved on at the end of the 55 season. Instead, we have him locked in until God knows when.2 points

I don't think anyone is capable of winning a league title in these circumstances. Celtic have backed a manager financially and he is delivering results. We cannot give the same backing so need a miracle worker in effect. Last nights starting XI speaks volumes for the state of the squad.2 points

Our squad management has been poor. We have hung on to too many players for too long. We have recruited poorly for several windows, with the odd exception. We have too many players who need managed due to chronic injury problems/age. The way this season is going was predictable and in some ways resembles Celtic of two seasons ago. We are capable of the odd performance, but you know too many in this squad just can't do consistency and that is why the League is already gone, IMO.2 points

Much better performance bit ultimately the same outcome. However think there were positives to take from the 1st hour and sending off changed the game. Please bring back Europe Thursdays. I miss European Thursdays.2 points

Whatever anyone thinks of him, I believe James Sands deserves acknowledgement for stepping into the breach in a period when he has often been one of the best of the bunch. Whether it's Sands, King, Souttar or Davies .... stepping into a creaking and poorly coordinated Rangers defence is going to be a challenge.1 point

Until the penalty incidents, I think Goldson had his best game of the season so far but to save 2 penalties and then almost a 3rd can't be overlooked1 point

The level of this CL group is a new book, as far as we are concerned. Our most difficult European group ever....... meets........ unbalanced squad with little depth Result is what we are seeing1 point

I’ve always said about Kent that I’d just prefer an inverted winger with more technique, who has close control when he comes inside and can one-twos, chipped through balls etc. We saw some great examples of that from Napoli last night, the Georgian’s player ball control was a joy to watch. But Jota has proved that there are guys out there within our range who have that skill set. That Georgian was picked up by Rubin Kazan for 500k too, so again good scouting goes a long way. Kent’s game for me has always been mostly about pace, causing chaos, work rate.1 point

This squad should be winning the league - or at least pushing them. With this manager, nothing.1 point

If John Greig was the right sort of Rangers captain and if Walter Smith was the right kind of Rangers manager, and that might be disputed, then we're a million miles away right now.1 point
-
That's fine and I agree but we need a manager who is getting the best out of our players.1 point
-
No question any manager should be getting better out what we have. The squad has all sorts of imbalances though and they are long standing. Unacceptably longstanding.1 point

The squad certainly has issues, but I maintain that it is 'fine'. A better - not even better, just different, in terms of tactical approach - gets more out of this squad.1 point

A while back he looked like any team in Europe could benefit from his play. Right now, I'm not sure Dundee would. He looks, for whatever reason, utterly lost.1 point

I’d go as far to say if it wasn’t for the tribal/religious/cultural ties for fans in Scotland to Rangers and them then many fans would have an EPL team to back and the SPFL would basically be another Irish league by now.1 point
