"Lizzie's in a Box". On Saturday last, Ibrox settled to a planned minutes silence for the passing of our country's Monarch these last seventy years. Queen Elizabeth's death has witnessed an outpouring of emotion not seen since World War Two. The last Monarch, George vi passed in 1952; there is little to no collective memory. Ten days of mourning is NOT a huge demand for someone who provided daily service everyday for in excess of 70 years. Think about it, four hours of dispatch box administration every morning beginning at 07.30hrs; including Christmas day, Birthdays, Honeymoon, ................. etc, over 25,000 consecutive days. Truly, a life of service. Whether your belief systems include Constitutional Monarchy or not, you have to respect the unflinching dedication to the roles of Head of State, Head of the Commonwealth and, Head of Established Church. An elderly woman died aged 96, a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, wife, sister, ...... etc; all running interference on unquestioning service. Surely, a minute's contemplative silence is not an unreasonable request? As the players took position on the centre circle the booing began within the several hundred Dundee United supporters. As the Referee blew the whistle to begin the silence, the away section broke into four or five choruses of, "Lizzie's in a Box". The culmination of the silence was marked by the first verse of the National Anthem. As God Save the King finished, BBC Radio Scotland commentator, Liam McLeod admitted interruption of the silence then added, "it is impossible to say which part of the ground the interruption to the minutes silence came from". Disinformation in 18 words. Dundee United issued a statement after the game. It outlined the Board had passed on received information to supporters but acknowledged, "a tiny minority of supporters did not respect the minute's silence". The statement contained no condemnation and no apology. BBC Scotland printed the statement but did not readdress Liam McLeod's ridiculous lie. From the position of the Ibrox gantry, Liam McLeod said, "it is impossible to say which part of the ground the interruption to the minute's silence came from". It is just another BIG LIE to emanate from BBC Scotland reference Rangers and Rangers supporters.3 points

The scum losing one match doesn't change anything about our poor form or general demeanor. I think we should get a new manager in now.3 points

And the Sportscene presenter couldn't even bring himself to say the name of the club whose fans who sang through the minute's silence in Paisley. I think Rangers should revert to non-communication with BBC, until they decide to at least attempt a bit of impartiality.2 points

When your enemy are making a mistake, let them get on with it. If we moan about it, people will just start to moan about us moaning.2 points

I think you're getting a bit hysterical, waving the white flag etc. Or maybe GvB just doesn't have what it takes.2 points

Watching Rangers just now reminds me of that last season under McLeish, where watching the match is a chore.2 points

The only reason Morelos hasn't really featured this season is .... Morelos. How do you trust a player who knowingly lets you down? It's not as if he just arrived at Rangers.1 point

Morelos is a wee fanny that needs to grow up really fast.1 point

Look at our away league record in 2022. It’s not indicative of league winning form. If this changes then we have a chance. If not tea is out.1 point

Would really like to see the team from my OP. The difference from the actual line up being Morelos in for Jack. Colak is a really good finisher between the posts. I wouldn't want to take that away. Get rid of a DCM and play Morelos just behind and to the right of Colak. If Alfredo comes on to a game, it would terrify diddy defences.1 point

Moyes at West Ham has over performed for a while now. The inevitable downward trajectory has kicked in. It will end with him getting the boot but if he wants, he won't have any bother getting another job. He has well over 1000 games managed.1 point

Yesterdays result is a boost, but it doesn't solve the issues we have. Re. League They tend to repeatedly go on long winning runs (6-8), punctuated by the odd slip-up. We tend to repeatedly go on 3 or 4 match winning runs, before slipping up. For us to have a chance, something has got to change. Between now and the WC, there is an intense schedule with a lot of mentaly draining CL games to come between League business. What yesterday does do though, is that it will show other provincial sides that Celtic can be beaten and it may improve their mental approach to games against them.1 point

Man alive! See my post in Premier League thread and Ive been gentle. In saying that stranger things have happened its not beyond the impossible and is not particularly unrealistic.1 point

Moyes is beginning to crack and show his faults - putting the blame onto senior players when he constantly plays Bowen, Soucek, Fornals and Antonio who are all bang out of form. Antonio isnt even a striker and should be moved the wing. The nonsense he comes out with saying he needs in embed new signings slowly but the defender Kehrer played the same day as he signed and has been in the team ever since and is a step back from Dawson and Ogbonna. The Europa run papered over a lot of cracks last season - Crystal Palace, Southampton, Leeds, Brighton, Newcastle, Brentford and Burnley ALL got something at the London stadium last season. Arsenal were very good on the eye yesterday, it was a Wenger-esk at peak performance and the transformation that Arteta has done this season is massive. Saliba is a rolls royce, Partey when fit controls games and Jesus is sublime - how did he not get more game time at City.1 point

If Gio can stay within touching distance of septic till the New Year we should have Hagi back, and possiby Roofe & Hellander and maybe a signing or two. The youngsters will have a bit more game time under their belts. This league is far from over. I still believe in Gio. Watp1 point

From Twitter. Our home game against Celtic last season got a crowd of 6596, today we had a crowd of 6331 despite giving Celtic 1600 less tickets. We had over 1300 more home fans today. I’d say the experiment got off to a huge success.1 point
