  1. People should be more concerned with the medical side of the business at Auchenhowie rather than the scouting. Irrespective if this is a new injury or an aggravation the recovery times for our players are pretty horrendous.

  2. I'd have Morelos starting. We'll need him to help relieve some of the pressure we'll be under. Hopefully Davies will be fit enough to play. I'd also expect either Davis or Kamara to come in for Matondo.

  3. Went for Colak but thought Lundstram controlled the game from start to finish

  4. I would much rather Kent chip in with a goal and assist each game than lots of impressive running at defenders that results in zero goals and assists. We really need his numbers up much higher than before, so I give him a second place in the MOTM standing behind our new goal machine.

  5. Last Scottish team to go down to Liverpool were Hearts (2012) and they were a goal up and close to causing an upset before Luis Suarez got the equaliser. David Templeton was the other goalscorer in the 1-1 draw. In fact, Liverpool have failed to beat Scottish sides at home in their last three attempts. The other two were in 1997 and 2003, enough detail. Prior to that, they had won the other four at home to Scottish sides with an aggregate score of 11-1 (Hibs managing the only Scottish goal). Fergie's Aberdeen were the only Scottish team who took a bit of a scudding, 4 zip in 1980. In competitive games against Scottish sides,.... Liverpool have Won 7, Drawn 4 and Lost 3 Goals For 18, Against 9 Against English opponents,.... We have Won 3, Drawn 4 and Lost 7 Goals For 11, Against 20 When you consider that two of those three victories came against Leeds in 92 and the other was in 1961, it is a shocking record. In the CL group stage, we have played Manchester United twice and kept the wrong kind of zero in all 4 matches. So, all this talk that the Battle of Britain effect levels the playing field,......at club level, the results don't really back it up. That solitary competitive victory on English soil against Leeds can be increased to three*, if counting two play off victories at Highbury against Sparta Rotterdam (1960) and Red Star Belgrade (1964). *Not including any FA Cup away wins in 19th century. Sorry to bore you with all that but @craig really loves these stats and who am I to dissapoint him. ------------------ Now over to the Hipsters to tell us about the tactical approach for Tuesday. Personally, I'm starting behind the sofa with an occasional peek over the top.

  7. I have just received the most recent email with the MyGers newsletter contained therein. After these issues of communications and promises to do better, I read on with interest. Firstly, a piece of news about the MyGers points totals being updated and categories reviewed taking place soon. Fair enough. The other 7 items in the newsletter are all links to sell stuff to us. 4th strips, car mats, phone covers, picture frames etc. So not really a newsletter at all, more just another marketing email.

  8. Not only did he take his goals brilliantly but his link up play was very good as well so has to be Colak. Thought Davies looked quite good until he was taken off and was impressed by Sakala's cameo late on.

  11. The Whiff of Spliff. Andrew Phillips resigned from the role as the SFA's Compliance Officer on the 1st of September. I suspect Phillips successor flashed the necessary credentials this week? Michael McKeown of Callahan, McKeown and, Company, Renfrew was up before the Scottish Solicitors' Discipline panel due to choosing to pay a £325 fixed penalty for possession of the class B substance, cannabis. Payment of the fixed penalty ensures Michael does NOT have a record of criminal conviction. However, the professional Disciplinary panel found McKeown guilty of professional misconduct. Further, his behaviour was deemed, "serious and reprehensible". The circumstances surrounding Michael's actions during the Spring of 2020 ensure he is very much Neil Doncaster's man for Compliance Officer. The partner aged 54 years was not working when a regular client called him to attend Glasgow Sheriff Court. He reached the main doors security and informed the Police he was attending to represent a client. The Police doubted his credentials because Michael was wearing a Sellik jersey. After loud remonstration, he was searched and a bag of cannabis was found in his trouser pocket. Michael explained he was suffering from stress and a friend had given him the drug to aid relaxation and help with sleep deprivation. He had forgotten the dope was in his pocket. The Panel found that Michael was acting in a professional capacity when he attended the court and should not have had an illegal substance in his possession. The Panel agreed a censure was the most appropriate outcome. This means Michael can continue to operate as a Solicitor, essentially it is a reprimand which does not impact on his ability to practise law. It is believed Neil Doncaster does NOT object to the 56 year old Lawyer wearing his Sellik jersey to work whilst acting as Compliance Officer? Michael has pointed out he owns the Sellik away top too.

  14. Don’t know if there’s a time schedule for this. Been to one baseball game in US, seemed to spend half my time passing food along.

  15. Don’t know his name but I like the way he’s going over the ball, head high with his studs up. Tav looks one second away from a fairly long dental appointment.

  16. I'm usually the one defending Kent but, despite a brilliant cross for the first and a great finish for the the goal, I thought he was poor again. At times in the second half him and Barisic were awful down that left side and continually lost the ball. I would agree though that because of the full coverage we get of games nowadays, we can all be guilty of over-analysing matches.

  17. I went for Kent. A goal and an assist and as ever worked very hard. a fair bit didn't come off for him but i though he did well. Colak the obvious other candidate and will be a very worthy winner.

  20. Has to be the big Croat. His determination and precision got the ball out to Kent He swiftly got into the box and between the posts to await the cross He finished with precision and aplomb The tone was set and Hertz wilted

  24. Wolves have sacked Bruno Lage. Looks like they'll be joining their Black Country mates, West Brom, in the Championship although Baggies themselves are flirting with another relegation to League 1. Wolves have been on the slide since they sold the real Jota to Liverpool.

  26. I wonder how PQ select or, prioritise what gets the full report, discuss and, phone-in treatment? Jum Spence's ego and the sensitivities of sand castlers versus a Green Brigade banner with the word, "Hate" on it. Then there is Postman Pat, I think PQ have missed a trick here. Back in the day, giving this one the full treatment ensured an Undergraduate was charged, convicted and, fined because of over egging the Lennon situation. Now, ra Sellik have a legion of Japanese players and everyone knows the the three fingered Postman Pat is a member of the Yakusa. Time to throw that Undergrad' in the tin pail. Other BBC Scotland manufactured questions we did not get answers to include : Why did Rangers refuse to sell Pepperami ? Why did Rangers cut the grass in the shape of an orange sash? Why did Rangers remove Eggs Benedict from the Argyle House menu? Chief Super' Badyin McFadyin of le Surete must provide answers.

  28. Colak is the best finisher we've had in years. When firing, Morelos is our best attack minded player. We have to find a way, in certain types of game, to get them both to start. I don't see it as being round into square, their style of play can compliment the other. As well as giving us more of a goal threat. It is an option that we have to explore. Understandable that we haven't yet seen it, given that for various reasons, Morelos hasn't been at it.
