  2. Despite the stuttering start, it's hard to believe we have the best defensive record in the league. We've got 6 clean sheets from 9 games and only conceded 5 goals.

  3. I get the feeling we will be typing these words a lot over the next few weeks (in relation to several players).

  4. Has to be Sima but I think most (if not all) the team had decent games. FWIW, I felt the captain had his best game for a long time.

  5. All absolutely true. I'd suggest the Anyone Everyone campaign struck a bigger chord in terms of racism and, while undoubtedly a useful box ticking exercise, I still maintain SRTRC has made little or no contribution to its stated objectives.

  6. Raskin was transformed. You have to wonder just how bad things had got in the dressing room under Beale for a player like this to have sunk so low.

  7. Sima for me. However, for the first game this season, I thought every player contributed in some way, even if just for effort and attitude and trying to play the way the gaffer instructed.

  8. Questioning who? I've done plenty of questioning in the past, having been involved in various things over the years. It's now up to younger bears to take up the mantle, but that doesn't stop me from highlighting the issues when I see them.

  9. He was restricted from voting for spoiling/wasting votes. Now he just wants attention.

  10. Best, Law, Charlton. I wonder what their combined cost would be in today's market? I think i heard a pundit yesterday saying that Bobby was only ever in awe of one other player, and that was Duncan Edwards.

  11. It was a fluid front-four (Lammers, Sima, Wright and Dessers), which I think will suit Danilo over Dessers going forward.

  12. I went for Sima. His pace made things very difficult for the Hibs defense and his 2 goals were excellent. Tav was much better, good to see Soutar getting a game, Raskin had a really good game and goal, Dessers worked very hard and took his goal really well and Lammers looked much better further forward. What a transformation from a coach who knows what he is doing. I am looking forward to how things develop with this manager. Special mention for Todd for "that" pass.

  13. Good team performance. Thought Ridvan did well when he came on as did Tav and Lundstram. Went of Sima over Raskin for MOTM, thought he was a constant treat with his pace and took both his goal well. We mention for Cantwell, the pace of the match seemed to lift with his introduction and his pass for Dessers goal was excellent.

  14. Lovely result at the weekend along with vast improvement in the attitude of the players and the standard of play. Looking forward to the game in midweek now.

  15. Hearts play an awful kick and rush football, it's dreadful to watch, and very easily beaten.

  16. Kyogo is without doubt the biggest cheat in the Scottish game. Yet Cantwell gets dogs abuse from the mhedia - wonder why!

  17. I see that Davie Mackinnon has released an autobiography. I've just ordered a signed copy from the publisher as should be a good read. He was a bit before my time but my dad says he was a decent player. What are your memories of him?

  18. Keegan, Gascoigne, Beckham, Rooney? No. Bobby Charlton was their best. First saw him 1962, Scotland v England at Hampden. Didn’t do much that day. Did plenty afterwards.

  19. I think things are going to get from bad to worse and complicated for Man U. Correct me if Im wrong but doesn't the Glazers currently have about 70% of the club at the moment? Therefore, Im not sure if Ratcliffe buys 25% of the Glazers stake or 25% of the club. Even so it looks like there wont be a majority shareholder - so who will have what say on certain final decisions. Its said Ratcliffe will get control of footballing decisions but Man Utd are in need of far more than that, from Management structure to the stadium. I dont see Man Utd winning another title for at least 10 more years.
