Good. For the simple reason that the first time our new players walk out the Ibrox tunnel, they'll get the atmosphere of a new season, feel the weight of the Jersey and thrive on the expectation.

A club completely out of touch with reality, a spell in the lower leagues would be a fit punishment imo.

Honestly, I'd give therm both for free, to get rid and free the wages. if we get 2m+ we should be laughing.

I get it. On the face of it, they should have some value, especially if a Saudi club is interested. We do need to replace them, they were not just some fringe players as you point out. However, at their age, declining form and the fact they will have no value in 12 months time IMO, I'd rather we get rid now, even if we don't bring much in for them. The two most important factors for me are 1. Getting rid so we can end "the cycle", and 2. Saving sizeable wages for the rebuild. Any fee we manage to recuperate is a distant 3rd for me. All I'm saying is if it was a choice between keeping them for the next two years or moving them on with little to no fee, I would bite your hand off for the latter.

Hopefully ones that can figure out how to beat Celtc.

The real gain would be the wages.

I served something like four years or so in the then West Germany and I was only present once during a Soviet defection. The two Red Army formations facing us were 3 Guards Army and 7th Shock Army, 18 Divisions plus support against our four in BAOR. One hot summers Sunday, a T64 MBT came careering out of the wood line, zigzagging across the wheat field. I requested weapons free permission and provided the RA with the appropriate x-ray grid. I was told to, "wait out". The distance from their wood line to ours was nearly 4K but, it crashed into the trees about 300 metres to our left and, the crew poured out. They were howling drunk. It took a couple of days but Intelligence got back saying they had been expecting something over the weekend but had no specifics thus, no warning order. Hence, no weapons free permission either. Apparently, the 7th Shock Army had received their quarterly black boot polish bulk allocation the day before. A troop of three tank crews had placed their blocks of boot polish on loafs in direct sunlight, the industrial alcohol percolated into the bread and, they consumed it. An hour later, three of them decided on the mazy run. The others were blind drunk, literally. I suspect I have just contravened the Official Secrets Act?

Rob Burrow has died. He has been such a very brave and inspirational and totally unselfish person as well as being a great player. The sporting world is a sadder place without him.

A horrible horrible disease which has affected many well known persons as well as ordinary people. Without wishing to diminish the diseases of dementia/alzheimers MND must feel worse having a fully concious mind being trapped inside a failing body. RIP young Robert.
