Big Cyriel seems to provoke a real dislike from some. I understand he misses chanes, but so do all strikers. He has scored some important goals for us and finished on twenty odd last season without playing all the games. If he got better service from a decent passer I'm sure he would score plenty, regardless of his misses. Nice one Cyriel. WATP

I am told -reliably, or unreliably, your call- that Cifuentes is set to move to Aris Salonika in Greece on loan until the end of the year with an obligation to buy, which has been reported as being set at £4 million. However, although Cifuentes agreed terms with the club last month, his move has been strangled in red tape, with Cruzeiro having to first cancel the loan deal with Rangers, which encountered complications because of Brazilian work permit regulations. The deal, if such it proves to be, has not been straightforward. Hard to believe, that.

I see that Trabzonspor lost at home in 1st leg in Europa. The velvet ankle may have to settle for the Conference. Cantwell may have thought that he was ill treated at Norwich and may now think that he was shackled at Rangers, but perhaps the problem does not lie with the teams but with his mindset. Good luck to him in Turkey but I won't be surprised if it all goes wrong for him

He has an occasional decent shot on goal. Other than that, I'm not sure what else he does.

I'd have concerns about Ridvan playing 90 mins 4 times in 2 weeks. I cant see Cerny starting I would go with McCausland. Hopefully Sterling is fit for 60 mins and give Baron a rest. Cant see Lawrence starting after 2 games in a week so agree Dowell likely to play. Squad already looking very thin at a very early stage of the season..

I would be good news of Cifuentes is returning from this loan to start his loan with obligation to buy at Aris. Everything crossed.

Wright is an enigma but must have some thing, as both Gio and Clement appear to rate him (as do his team-mates). Cantwell was training with the B-Team so I was surprised to see him training with the 1st team in today's photos (Igamane was there as well). We are still short in many positions but we just have to go with what we've got until we get more bodies in.

Hagi posted a social media post saying he's completed 2nd week of pre-season. Makes him slightly ahead of Igamane 😆

I've got a good feeling about tomorrow. I reckon Tuesday will see the lads chomping at the bit. McCausland has to start on one of the wings though, when he was taken out of the team last season we looked clunky - the lad tends to contribute towards good team performances more often than not.

I personally think he gets a bit OTT criticism! yet agree with the reason he gets that! if that makes sense?. I love his work rate, he never gives up so I'm hoping everything clicks for him this season as I'm sure all Rangers fans do.

Just on Motherwell, their pitch looks immaculate. Don't let it be said that teams can't afford to, they choose not to. Looking forward to tomorrow anyways!

If he scored the easy ones but didn’t manage to somehow fashion goals from nowhere he’d be a favourite. It’s the disappointment that clouds the judgement. Twenty non penalty goals can’t be scoffed at.

Always got time for Cyriel as a man. He's got the mindset to play as a 9 for Rangers - perhaps not the ability though, and I wish that wasn't the case.

To be fair, when he signed him, he was very highly thought off and a few teams were interested in him. It didn't work out, it happens. He wasn't the 1st and he won't be the last.

I remember as a kid growing up in Renfrew when the Rangers football team trained in the open fields where the new Renfrew gym is near Paisley Road, Gazza, Laudrup, Mcoist era and Walter drove up I'm gonna say a Blue Mercedes may have been a BMW and parked up and would give me and my m8 a quid if we looked after his car, The first team on the other hand after they finished with the training they headed back onto their buses and one of the local women, banged on the bus until a few got out and signed some autographs rememberMcoist getting out 😂 needless to say I don't think they came back, That memory has stuck with me since I was a kid maybe 8/9 at the time only a small gesture but a massive part of my memory of being a youngster roaming the streets in Renfrew coming across the great Walter and the Famous Glasgow Rangers! 🔴⚪🔵
