Everyone is positive about a bright future under our new owners. It would be a massive own goal to go back 7 years and reappoint Gerrard. There's nothing new about that.

A post from a FF administrator in orange font saying it's Gerrard. 🫤 That usually means it's 100% certain. If so, I'm totally underwhelmed and the excitement of new owners has quickly dissipated.

Walter got backed and was able to bring in some quality. He could organise a defence and man managed very well. What happens now? Does Gerrard get to manage or is he head coach, told to develop players ? Is there an attempt to merge the two? If there is an attempt to merge the approaches, it comes down to recruitment. If a fair bit of money is spent, will Gerrard want actual quality or be happy with potential quality? My gut feel says Gerrard wouldn't take us to where we should be going, ie. a sustainable and modern football club.

If bringing SG back is the height of their ambition I'm gutted.

I cannot say I'm pleased to lose Hagi. I wanted to stay Kasanwirjo to stay as well, that lad was a good player. As for Cerny, his club wanted a bit too much for him imo.

Shame he wasn't aware of his contract not being renewed, the very least we should have given him a good send-off.

I'm not positive about the takeover, but I'm not outright negative. I am dubious concerning the motivations of VC types, and how they might go about earning from their investment.

I agree and I hope so. The rest wont be missed. Hagi has had his day and Cerny isnt worth what is being asked for him

A question, who is signing off on the decision for a new manager? What level of input do the present boardroom have, compared to those who haven't yet taken over (51%) ?

Hopefully it's based on a flurry of betting activity and nothing substantial.

I will be very disappointed if Gerrard is our next manager because it is likely the new owners will be party to this decision and in my eyes it would put them in a poor light. This is purely a personal view.

As far as I'm aware, we are allowed to start with eleven players if Dessers is unavailable. Igamane is a better finisher than Dessers and a good manager would have played him up front more often.

Sorry to see him go, his fitness record is appalling but when he does play he rarely lets us down. Can only imagine we cant come to an agreement regards wages. He said in his leaving message he didn't expect to be leaving or he would have had a proper lap of honour for our last 2 games.
