Everyone is positive about a bright future under our new owners. It would be a massive own goal to go back 7 years and reappoint Gerrard. There's nothing new about that.8 points

A post from a FF administrator in orange font saying it's Gerrard. 🫤 That usually means it's 100% certain. If so, I'm totally underwhelmed and the excitement of new owners has quickly dissipated.6 points

Injury prone and getting on. We need to come away from the sentimentality surrounding these guys, if we're ever to maintain any level of success. He was a (very good) stop gap signing, thanks and good bye.5 points

Walter got backed and was able to bring in some quality. He could organise a defence and man managed very well. What happens now? Does Gerrard get to manage or is he head coach, told to develop players ? Is there an attempt to merge the two? If there is an attempt to merge the approaches, it comes down to recruitment. If a fair bit of money is spent, will Gerrard want actual quality or be happy with potential quality? My gut feel says Gerrard wouldn't take us to where we should be going, ie. a sustainable and modern football club.5 points

If bringing SG back is the height of their ambition I'm gutted.5 points

I cannot say I'm pleased to lose Hagi. I wanted to stay Kasanwirjo to stay as well, that lad was a good player. As for Cerny, his club wanted a bit too much for him imo.4 points

Shame he wasn't aware of his contract not being renewed, the very least we should have given him a good send-off.4 points

I'm not positive about the takeover, but I'm not outright negative. I am dubious concerning the motivations of VC types, and how they might go about earning from their investment.4 points

I agree and I hope so. The rest wont be missed. Hagi has had his day and Cerny isnt worth what is being asked for him3 points

A question, who is signing off on the decision for a new manager? What level of input do the present boardroom have, compared to those who haven't yet taken over (51%) ?3 points
-
Hopefully it's based on a flurry of betting activity and nothing substantial.3 points

I will be very disappointed if Gerrard is our next manager because it is likely the new owners will be party to this decision and in my eyes it would put them in a poor light. This is purely a personal view.3 points

Maybe we could organise a benefit match for Balogun to keep him here. Like a testimonial but we would need a different name for it. Big man deserves it.2 points

Watch it! I grew up in Penilee and it was no single end😁.2 points

Hope you're right but I'm becoming alarmed that it might be Gerrard.2 points

“Much has been said of the strumpets of yore, Of wenches and bawdy house queens by the score, But I sing of a baggage that we all adore… Steven Gerrard!”2 points

Amongst the others 'ma wee brother's an estate agent, SG has just rentit a single end in pennilee' 😆2 points

The new owners would be calling the shots. The current board won't be able to do anything major without their say.2 points

Balogun knows how to defend. I like that in a defender.2 points

As far as I'm aware, we are allowed to start with eleven players if Dessers is unavailable. Igamane is a better finisher than Dessers and a good manager would have played him up front more often.2 points

Thinking back Gerrard managed the team that won 55 if it had been an election he’d have a landslide but don’t forget the other mob were in terminal meltdown at that time so you have to ask could Gerrard be a better manager than Rodger’s given that the Parkhead lot are miles ahead at the moment does Gerrard have the balls for a fight I doubt it .1 point

He would have started already. Imagine he is on some sort of gardening leave at Everton. He was visiting Ibrox and the training ground a few weeks back with Marathe and Steinsson.1 point

Sorry to see him go, his fitness record is appalling but when he does play he rarely lets us down. Can only imagine we cant come to an agreement regards wages. He said in his leaving message he didn't expect to be leaving or he would have had a proper lap of honour for our last 2 games.1 point

I was wrong about Walter’s second stint. Hope I’m wrong about Gerrard.1 point

Not my first choice, but at least it's not Dyche or McInnes.1 point

I note that SpamFolder FC has sacked Anthony Docherty. Just sayin', but should he be added to the runners and riders? Perhaps @Rousseau will be along to accentuate the potential positives of such an appointment.1 point
