  1. Thought I'd give a brief pen pic on all the squad. https://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2019/02/16/the-alkass-international-cup-squad/

  2. I think this weekend has been the final nail in the coffin for our title challenge.

  3. They trebled on him at one point but that’s fine if the others have the wherewithal to use the space and these teams have figured out we don’t. The Candeias Tav partnership for example has ground to a halt. I can’t help thinking Barisic hamstring is causing him issues either physical or mental. He’s just not extending himself down the flanks. It’s as if he’s protecting himself. It’s not got the look of a regenerated post winter break team that’s for sure. Tragedy is Celtic are pysh.

  4. It’ll be the final nail in the coffin for SG soon if he keeps playing Defoe up front on his own. He can’t play that role. He should have realised that after the SC game at Killie Reminds me of Murty who played JasonCummings up front on his own. That didn’t work either

  5. Genuinely Ian I’m scunnered with the whole affair. Its so blatantly biased from the officials. I was wondering again yesterday if it’s in some of our players minds too? I know it’s not an excuse but this must be demoralising for them too. They must see they are playing in a division where officials are influenced and will not allow them to win. On another note I detest that wee bigoted pr**k Walker. When I hear his voice I want to vomit. I still remember his rants about Rangers and their fans getting all they deserved. Also spouting pish about our club having to apologise for decades because of bad management and the new business (this happens on a regular basis daily all over the world btw). Horrible poisonous individual. So Lego muncher should not have been on the park to score in 91mins! Not mention of it anywhere so far??

  6. What possible reason does King have for giving any of the former Easdale Bloc a single penny?

  8. I agree. It fits into my point: Five eminently winnable games, to set a marker, and we've not looked up to it; It's extremely frustrating. I thought Davis was done before we signed him. He was the missing link for many. His legs have gone, but I still think he can do a job further back. He's just not the #10 we need. Defoe needs to be supplied; he didn't get a sniff yesterday.

  9. After years of disappointment the Rangers eventually got their hands on the Scottish Cup on 17th February 1894 after beating Celtic 3-1 at Hampden. They were presented with the Cup in the Alexandra Hotel which stood at No. 148 Bath Street which today is the Pure Gym Centre. We have to bear in mind that the winning of the Scottish Cup in 1894 was still the pinnacle achievement for all Clubs, as the Scottish League was still very much in its infancy Rangers legend Tom Vallance( who is pictured standing on the back row) had this to say on the milestone reached by the Club, he wrote in the Scottish Sport. “It is with a true sense of delight that those who have followed the varying fortunes of the Rangers since their formation can now see their triumph, their name and fame shining throughout the land with a luster that they never before approached”. Tom presented each Rangers player with a gold scarf pin to commemorate this milestone in the Club’s history. Tom is pictured here with the proud Rangers Committee. Pictured with the victorious Rangers team is trainer John Taylor who’s unmarked grave we recently located in Craigton Cemetery. Mr Taylor’s plot will be restored as part of our Restoration of Rangers Graves Project.

  11. Em they buy more shares, give the Easdales a call I'm sure they'll welcome your advances.

  12. It would be best for everyone to draw a line under the Easdales & their time at Rangers. Getting rid off them as shareholders would achieve that.

  13. And me ... and you ... and every other independent shareholder. Marvellous.

  14. Davis is worse than a man short. His legs have gone so hopefully we won’t have to rely on him? Arfield is the man that really makes us tick.

  15. Pray tell why on earth would King give them as much as a single penny for a single share let alone 22p?

  17. Aye, centralisation. As an aside, there's quite a big Rangers support in Carlisle.

  19. I haven't lived in the Borders for over 20 years. My parents told me about the channel thing - it may be I have confused the information. I do know they're on BT and that might have something to do with it. I actually applaud Alba's showing of lower league football.

  20. Just reading Broadfoot off for challenge on Brown "Bobby Madden wastes no time" no surprise EH!!!!

  21. Brown does that all the time. It's what happens when there is no deterrent.

  22. You can argue that either way and make a case. However 90%+ of managers would have taken D&D over promising youngsters in these particular circumstances.

  23. He’s got little choice but I won’t be surprised to hear in a few weeks that King has bought them for (say) 22p each.

  24. We would have been better promoting a couple of promising youths instead of bringing in Davis and Defoe .

  25. The real issue is WHEN will we be in a position to win the League ? Celtic made a pigs ear of the summer transfer window (without spending much money) and the general discontent around their camp had them dropping more points in the first half of the season than the norm. But we were unable to take advantage because we were still behind them. In other words, we have room for improvement and I think SG&Co will take us on a level, but they do as well along with more financial muscle in summer 2019. I said the other day that the only way we will significantly move forward as a club is when and if we can bring through academy players that can progress quickly to excellence in the first team environment. Both for on-field and eventually off-field benefits (financial/transfer fees via player trading).

  26. Grezda is very much a winger. Celtic picked up Rogic, Allan and Christie for peanuts.

  27. Mediocrity is about attitude, as well as ability. Half that team today looked totally uninterested in winning the league.

  28. Gerrard was very clear that Grezda and Barisic were £1.5m each

  30. Valid as the critic may be, preserving an essentially dying language (et al) will always get a - by proportion - greater share of attention and money. On a wee sidenote ... any football game by the lesser leagues or competition will be watched by an audience not fluent in the language spoken. Just because it is football on TV, it is their club that may hardly ever get TV attention elsewhere, or, indeed, because many are fed up with the garbage that filters from the half-empty SKY or BT or whatever commentators' and experts' brains through the microphones.

  31. Good choice, love that period of the Stones. I wanna rawk the Playschool vibe. I wonder children, whose hair is Sandy wearing today? Is it Keef's, Mick's, Bill's, Charlie's, or the other Mick's? Let's hope Sandy leaves by the arched window.
