  1. Do you not mean massive after all the mhank move to Arsenal was huge and our man is a million miles better.

  2. Could this be a result of the improvement on the left giving Tav and others on the right more leeway?

  3. I think we have to credit the man management skills of our coaching staff for that transformation.

  4. I have been a member of the Nithsdale Loyal bus for over 30 years and there must be 10-15 guys on it that have been on it longer than me! I used to live in the area as a teenager when I joined, and due to it being a short 10 minute journey to Ibrox the bus doesn’t go to home games at all, so when I moved up to Tannochside in 2007 I joined the Tannochside bus then and go to home games with them. Both are great, really well run buses, no booze, no smoking, reliable and great value. The difficulty of trying to park around Ibrox is well known, as is the mile long subway queue, so the buses are a great way to go to games, and that’s before you take into account the great banter, friendship and match discussion you get on the buses. A couple of beers before the game and in the club after the game is also a great way to enjoy a match day, although I admit I don’t do this very often myself. I would recommend using your local RSC if you have one.

  5. As far as I'm aware they won't be changing the angle of the seating, personally I'd rebuild the Copland Front (and Govan East Corner) terracing changing the angle and putting in proper 2 step terracing so safe standing could be installed with a 1.5 - 1.8 ratio, installing safe standing at a ratio of 1 - 1 is pointless as you actually end up with a slightly lower capacity. The Argyle House Hospitality willl absolutely be changed from the current set up to a more modern style, the glass boxes will be gone.

  6. I think you are correct, it no doubt helps him when Barisic has stepped up and delivered, however I am a big fan of Tav and felt his mistakes were highlighted more than others yet he has been outstandingly consistent since he signed and has improved his game every season

  7. I think we have to be realistic that Barasic won’t be with us next season. We should have already started looking for his replacement

  8. I was one of the few who said we should stick with Barisic*. He always looked a good fooballer...the turnaround seems to be entirely in attitude and realisation of what the club is all about. He's been essential to our recent performances. Clubs like Roma are likely to turn an SPFL player's head but I think the lad will want to win the league with us. *I also said we should be looking in the Balkans for players.

  9. If roma really want him the fee will have to be huge in Jan.

  10. I used to be in the Govanhill RSC in the sixties. After a Scottish Cup replay at Tynecastle me and my mates went for a drink. By the time we got back our bus had gone. "Luckily" the Townhead RSC let us on their bus. The bus broke down on route and the young boys got out and started to try and break into this newsagents encouraged by the older passengers. Along came the polis but fortunately did not take any action. We eventually got back to Glasgow on a replacement bus. Rangers lost by the way ?.

  11. Good to see Stewart and Jones getting involved and showing their worth. You would hope they get a good run in the forthcoming games, as both carry quite a bit of threat.

  14. Worst experience in a supporters but was back in the early 1970s when, for some reason, both Rangers and Celtic were playing European ties at home. Travelling through Shotts on the way north, most of our windows and a few heads were broken by a hail of red bricks from green-clad animals. It was a long, cold drive home.

  15. The 6000 figure comes from more than just lowering the pitch, there are a few scenarios where they can add a dozen here a couple of dozen there etc. Construction work can be done during the season without affecting current capacity.

  16. Unfortunately Ibrox is now too small for Rangers. Adding capacity is imperative as I don’t think building a new stadium is feasible

  17. I recall a big guy named Coco on the UJ bus. Vague memories though - typical boozed up away games. One of the funniest memories on my own RSC bus was trip to the Piggery, also in the late 90s. We were stuck in traffic, so a lad got off for a p*ss (by some billboards, not far from the ground) and we all saw two Policemen walking towards him, so banged the windows and pointed towards them...he assumed we were waving at him, so he waved back (whilst p*ssing) and ended up getting lifted and missing the match. I think that was the '98 SC semi. Weird the things that stick with us. ?

  18. Is John Niven a continuation of the Union Jack bus? I got on that a couple of times in the late 90s. Used to like the Spider's Web boozer (where the UJ bus departed) but it's a gentrified gin bar now.

  20. It can be excavated and tanked, plus pumps can be installed. But I very much doubt it would give the number of seats quoted.

  21. Engineering might have moved on but the water table certainly hasn't, if they try and get round this and fuck it up we will have the biggest outdoor pool in world football

  23. Liverpool were almost forced to play youngsters -- it's not because they are good enough to play consistently. They've got a heavy schedule over Christmas, with League, League Cup, FA Cup and Club World Cup. Klopp played youngsters in the League Cup, where they were smashed by Villa 4-0, and then against Everton, where for the most part they should have been smashed, if not for some poor finishing and good saves. Klopp wanted the CWC, so played his first team -- which is unusual for European sides, I think -- which they won. Obviously, he wants the League more than anything -- I've not seen any youngsters get game time in the League. I think you're putting too much spin on this.
