When did they refuse to sell shares to C1872? If that had happened recently then C1872 would have taken great delight in telling us. C1872 did claim that in the past and it was proven to be untrue. I really doubt if the club even consider what % C1872 have when they decide to issue shares. If C1872 have money to invest in the club then all they need to do is let the club know that they wish to do so.

Maybe they could have said to the board that they had cash to invest? They don't need to wait for a meeting. They could have sent off an email.

Agreed. A very poor cross that got lucky.

I've listened to some of the "Dominant" podcasts on H&H, which Martyn did, and they are outstanding. I went to most of the games home and away during 9IAR but there was still plenty that I learned about the period as well as being reminded about many of the games. I've heard that you can still read the book(s) even if you've listed to the podcast, so will try and get round to acquiring it.

That's impressive! However what does it actually mean? Real Madrid in the last 5 years have won the CL twice, been semi-finalists and reached the last 16 twice. How could we possibly have more points than them? Edit - is it because we had all the qualifying rounds and got loads of points from them?

New 'Gers fan planning a trip to Ibrox next season

Welcome to the club and to the site! I hope you end up feeling confident enough to take part in our discussions soon. The club normally put tickets on sale 3-4 weeks before a game, I believe, but there's also the resale site called Seatsub where unused season tickets go on sale. Most league games will end up being fairly full, although the atmosphere can vary. The old firm games are next to impossible to get tickets for, unfortunately. Please feel free to reach out by DM through the site if you have any specific questions or need any advice or help. -
Surely he'd be a good advert for the "Everyone, Anyone" campaign.

Hmm. It's a difficult one and it's good that you're seeking opinions. I know that I won't have anything to do with the Rangers Review as it helps subsidise The National as well as being part of the hateful Newsquest group. However I don't believe BBC Scotland have been as bad as they were and the advantage of agreeing to take part gives you the option of stepping away and explaining why on social media, which would be more powerful than just saying 'no' now, which would just be ignored by everyone. I guess there would be some level of criticism within the support if you do take part. I'm abstaining from the actual vote as I can't bring myself to vote yes.

Yup, that's the reality of having a crap TV deal.

I doubt any offer would value the shares at much over 25p, if at all. I believe it's new cash. However my uninformed opinion is that it's potentially funds to help the stadium redevelopment, including the disabled facilities and maybe replacement funds that have been spent on NEH rather than it being anything related to future share sales.

It's irrelevant whether it's 447 million shares at five bob or 4.47 million shares at a pony.

I use the Horse with no Name's excellent spreadsheet, which has all the results and line-ups in our history. An incredible resource. Hopefully he won't mind me linking to it. Rangers 1872-2023 Results - 1 (mediafire.com)

I'd be looking to sell Hagi and Kamara. They're our 2 most sellable assets that aren't going to be first team starters next season.

You want 6 centre backs?

I thought Morelos had a great game, Did well, playing wide early on, won several defensive headers got a couple of goals and generally played well. However Cantwell just shaded it.

I can see both sides of the argument. TB has a good point, plus there's some who just want to be able to access their ticket when they want and can't be bothered with the whole seatsub thing. However the club want to maximise attendees and maximise revenue so can I understand that as well. I know of several seats that are generally unoccupied for most games and the club must be frustrated by this. The conditions are obviously changing so if you want to buy your season ticket then you're agreeing to this. I guess if you're TB and you want to protest then maybe the answer is to stick your ticket on Seatsub an hour before kick-off, if they still allow that.
-
Yes, a new policy.

I've got a spare ticket for today's game. Free to anyone who would like to go. Only downside is sitting next to me 😂 Please don't move to ticket sales thread as it won't get seen there.

I thought Wilson had said he was a Gio target, but it could be that both wanted him (or I've got it wrong).

You mean a Gio target?

Confirmed: Ross Wilson joins Nottingham Forest

I guess I'd argue that we do have a manager, rather than a first team coach, irrespective of titles. I get what you're saying to an extent, but it gets thrown out the window when you bring in a new manager who uses different tactics, or different tactics are adopted with the same manager (see Tierney and Walker suffering from tactical changes at Arsenal and City). Obviously there are times when it's irrelevant what a manager says (we aren't turning down Bassey or Patterson transfers or bidding for Bellingham) but we seem to still be largely following what the manager wants, rather than him having no say and the DoF making the transfer decisions. -

Agree with your example, but nothing like that was done. Looking at Alfie and kent for example, people are getting their knickers in a twist for them leaving for free. While it's not ideal, Gerrard didn't want to sell them 2 summers ago, and it's doubtful they would have agreed to leave last summer anyway...and presumably Gio wanted them to stay. I'm not sure when people think Wilson should have put his foot down and tried to sell them. Nothing that was done was totally outrageous without the benefit of hindsight. -

So you want the board to make footballing decisions and overrule the manager? -
