  1. Work needed right through the team but we have to start with the defence surely. Stop letting in silly goals and make us hard to beat again. Not strengthening the defence was Warburtons main downfall for me.
  2. What an embarrassment. Thought shit like this was behind us.
  3. Same story every game. Waste so many chances and gift the opposition their goal. So frustrating after playing well first half.
  4. The dark days are over.....here we come! Fucking brilliant!!
  5. Hate all this 'the truth will come out some day' pish. Has no-one got the backbone to tell us now what the f*@k went on. Until then why should we believe anybody.
  6. This is one of Ally's problems all along- he's too much 'one of the lads'. No way should he be up there as manager. The players think he's more of a pal than anything.
  7. Sounds like Prior is a friend of Malcolm Murray and has got Stockbridge in his sights!
  8. Probably because he's always made it clear he's not interested in moving anywhere else. A rare player with morals before greed.
  9. "At least two high net-worth Rangers fans are closely monitoring events, and one would be prepared to move immediately if he felt it was in the best interests of the club." Not this all over again! Was sick of hearing of these Rangers men last time who would only move if it was in the clubs best interests, for nothing to ever happen.
  10. More and more chairmen coming out against it. Looks like as GA said in an earlier thread; the worm has indeed turned. Its a busted flush and the times up for those SPL clubs that are clinging on for dear life.
  11. CG reminds me of O'Leary at Ryanair. Even bad publicity is good publicity to him but he does run an extremely successful company. However he thinks he IS Ryanair and can come out with some rubbish at times just to get in the headlines. At some point Ryanair will have to replace him with a less vocal, abrasive CEO as there comes a point when his ego is more a hindrance to the company than anything. I can't see CG lasting any length of time at Rangers as he is the same as O'Leary and already he's causing more damage than good to our club. Shame really as I wanted so much to believe he was the man to take us forward.
  12. Ally may not have proved he's the manager to take us forward in football terms yet, but as long as all this crap is going on behind the scenes I for one want him to stay. He was written off as a player then proved everybody wrong and I really hope he does it again.
  13. From Sky News: Paul Gascoigne says he is not ready to give up his fight against alcohol addiction after his emergency admission to a US rehab clinic. The Sunday Mirror reported that the former football star told his friend Jimmy Gardner: "The drink nearly finished me off this time."I know Iâ??ve never been as bad as this before. But Iâ??m not ready to give up the fight. "Iâ??m getting better now. Iâ??m not there yet, but Iâ??m getting there." Friends of Gascoigne, 45, clubbed together to pay for his £6,000-a-week detox treatment, after a relapse in January. He was transferred to a hospital following a seizure, where he spoke to Mr Gardner, 46, from his ward. Mr Gardner told the Sunday Mirror: "Paul sounded frail and weak and scared. "But I could hear something else in his voice too. I could hear grit and determination. "No one knows Paul like I do and I can tell you, he's not for throwing in the towel. "I love him to his bones. I can't think about him not being here. He'll beat the booze. He's done it before and he'll do it again." He will now spend time in isolation in rehab, and has had his phone taken away as part of his therapy.
  14. My problem with jumping straight back up is that we are nowhere near ready. Any chance of building a team with many of the young guys from Auchenhowie will go right out the window, as the cheque book will appear again to buy 'experienced' players. We would be in same situation as we were before.
  15. If they can't handle being under pressure, they shouldn't be near the team anyway.
  16. Was Shiels playing?.....Totally anonymous today.
  17. :na: :rp::ec: :ib::kh: :al::lm: Don't see why we cant go 4-4-2 and keep it simple. Jig and Little would give them something to worry about and Templeton and McKay could switch wings if needed. Whoever plays though has to give 110%.
  18. So in court if a 12 man jury gives an 11-1 majority innocent verdict, we should only take into account the sole guilty vote? FFS!! Talk about an agenda.
  19. To think of all the massive amounts of money that we allegedly owed, that every single article on our plight mentioned over the last few months, as if it was a foregone conclusion . Now this....GIRFUY!!
  20. Brilliant! Not Traynor's biggest fan but he's the only one willing to put his head above the parapet recently.
  21. From STV article: "The notes state that in 2013 the first team payroll is to constitute 26% of all revenues with it currently sitting at around £7.5m, which will reduce to 18% of all revenues in the next two years as Cenkos predicts turnover to hit £46.5m by 2015" I think as usual there's a bit of a negative spin in the reporting of this. A wage cap is surely sensible after what we've just been through. The 33% of turnover being less than half of what the rest of SPL clubs spend is a red herring though, as their turnover is much less than ours. Anyway, why would the example of what the rest of the failing SPL clubs do be something for us to aim for? The increase in ST prices is also something that you would have to expect as we go up through the leagues. Not convinced the dividend idea is a great thing though, but I suppose that means that the club will have to be run profitably in future.
  22. From the BBC News site: The old Rangers Football Club owed more than £94m in unpaid tax and penalties, according to its administrators. The final report to creditors from Duff and Phelps reveals that the size of HM Revenue and Customs claim against the club totalled £94,426,217. It also shows that the administrators are claiming £3,121,683 in fees. Creditors have until 12 October to vote on the report. When the administration period ends, the old Rangers FC will be placed in the hands of liquidators BDO. Rangers was forced into administration by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) on 14 February over non-payment of tax totalling about £14m. Third Division Craig Whyte, who bought the club from Sir David Murray last year, was successful in having his nominated firm, Duff and Phelps, appointed. Continue reading the main story Rangers crisis explained Rangers went into administration owing up to £134m to unsecured creditors. As a result its registrations with the Scottish FA and Scottish Premier League were terminated. Charles Green led a consortium which bought Rangers' assets for £5.5m. The former Sheffield United chief executive reformed Rangers as a new company. The 'newco' did not get the required votes for re-admittance to the SPL and started life in Scottish Division Three. Following a hearing at the Court of Session, David Whitehouse and Paul Clark were appointed as joint administrators of the club. After HMRC rejected proposals for a creditors agreement that would have allowed the old club to continue, Duff and Phelps negotiated a sale of assets to a consortium led by Charles Green for £5.5m. He has since formed a new club which is playing in the Scottish Football League Third Division. In its final report to creditors, Duff and Phelps states: "The joint administrators have continued to review the claims made by HMRC in the administration. "The claims are largely made up of determinations issued by HMRC in accordance with Regulation 80, penalties and outstanding PAYE/NIC. "The joint administrators have adjudicated on these claims and confirmed to HMRC that for voting purposes, their claim will be admitted for voting purposes at £94,426,217.22." The majority of that figure relates to the old club's use of Employee Benefit Trusts (EBTs), on which HMRC claimed unpaid tax and penalties in excess of £49m. October judgement A judgement on an appeal of this assessment, which was heard at a First Tier Tax Tribunal, is imminent. The creditors report notes: "An outcome has yet to be determined by the tribunal and is currently expected in October 2012." Among the resolutions which creditors are being asked to approve is Duff and Phelps' fees. The report states: "That the creditors approve the remuneration, expenses and outlays of the joint administrators in respect of all accounting periods not previously approved, being, in respect of remuneration only, £2,930,644 for the period 14 February 2012 to 29 June 2012 and £191,039 for the period 10 August 2012 to 14 September 2012."
  23. I could never take to Whyte for some reason, but never thought he would do what he did. However, theres something I like about Green. Don't know what it is and I could be totally wrong but I think he'll do alright. His statements are no nonsense and seem genuine. Just glad we are playing football again, though I don't think or problems are over yet while Rhegan, Doncaster and Liewell are about.
