Murray, Marketing and missed opportunities

Good idea and one I hadn't thought of. -
Murray, Marketing and missed opportunities
Stimpy replied to Waltersgotstyle's topic in Rangers Chat
That was going to be next point but prefer how you've put it. It's certainly a possibility that in the next two generations, we may see our numbers eroded by our inefficiencies and the likes of the EPL becoming more appealing. Fuck! Irish league football! -
Murray, Marketing and missed opportunities

2. Merchandise: JJB deal never appealed to me, probably because my past is in retail and have an understanding of what customers want. We went from 2nd biggest generator of income in the UK to sitting on the sidelines. Yes, people say it's guaranteed income, however, Rangers fans buying club merchandise is already guaranteed. Then we have the argument whether is it profitable to run our own shops. Perhaps not as many was needed, but some simple investigations into what stores run at a loss and what don't. I really do feel we could have trimmed the loss making ones, or invent new ideas to bring more footfall into the shops. We have a massive loyal customer base that is ready and wanting great merchandise. It's not as if they'll buy elsewhere like you'd go to Sainbury's one week and the next to Tesco's. It's also worth noting that JJB are going down where their main competitors, Sports Direct, are going from strength to strength. Seems we share the inability to change to market conditions. -
I heard Murray offered Dick even more cash if he signed a new contract. Imagine our position now if he had signed!

I'll put my head on the line and try and compliment Rabbit's post. Get it published via here? GersForum and hopefully Frankie you could do it on RM? Also send it out to DTB and FF. See if it gets the ball rolling!

It's certainly worth a try. Engage every forum, blog and supporters group and see what they need, want from Rangers. The platform of News Now is very useful but we'd have to go further than online bears and that's where the traditional main stream media would come in. There's also the hard sell and the donkey work of engaging fans at Ibrox come match day. We'd also need some very smart people with the right skills set. Despite what people say, think etc, The RST would be involved.

It'd be great for us all to work together for furtherance of Rangers. That peice has hit the nail on the head.
-
Looks excellent - very fresh looking.

Twitter: @STVGrant: Suggestion coming from a briefing at Ibrox that Rangers are disputing their own interim figures. More when we get it.
-
Eh? One mintue they are the problem, the next the aren't. Now they are again:sigh:

I can only see one mate: http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=10829297 Of the £1.8m some it's interest as well that we could be liable for?

Not a dig at a Zappa, but not many folk are aware of that fact. Or that's the feeling I get when reading posts across Rangers forums.

He'll have to go bankrupt on his own:D
-
Its's all getting too much. I might go and hide and resurface on Monday where we might be in the know as to what exactly is going on:( What's the board's thoughts on Ellis? Apart from some magical plans for the land round Ibrox, what else does he offer US?

Bank paves way for Whyte's Rangers takeover 30 March 2011 13:06 GMT STV understands the Lloyds Banking Group has agreed a package of measures to resolve Rangers' debt, paving the way for Craig Whyte to complete his takeover of the club. A source close to the deal between Rangers and Whyte has told STV the asking price for the club will now be adjusted from Ã?£32 million to a figure of Ã?£25-28 million. Lloyds are said to be happy with the takeover proposal being put forward by Whyte and have supported him in his approach for the club. It is now up to Whyte and Murray International Holdings to complete the deal, which will see Whyte acquire a 92 per cent stake in the club. A figure of Ã?£4 million between Rangers and Lloyds will be paid in instalments after Whyte moved to renegotiate the terms and conditions of the debt, rather than paying the outstanding amount in full up front. It is understood Whyte is yet to view and sign off the paperwork which would move him a significant step closer to finalising a deal. Nonetheless, the approval of Lloyds for the takeover to proceed marks a significant step towards his purchase. Whyte met with the Rangers board of directors and manager Walter Smith on Tuesday to discuss the takeover. He has previously promised to invest Ã?£25 million in Rangers’ playing squad over the course of the next five seasons. Whyte's deal also includes a 25 per cent stake which will eventually be controlled by Andrew Ellis, who failed last year with a takeover bid of his own. STV Sport So we won't be debt free?

Why the fans who sing songs of hate are committing an offence
Stimpy replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
So we're allowed to sing about The UVF/UDA? Seems a precedent has been set and when the cops come calling for singing songs about paramilitary groups we refer them to this case? -
Yes mate, he asked questions of the bank and relaid the fears fans have of the club's future. Came across as objective without making any allegations towards any party. Lasted about 10 minutes.

Hope the forum staff don't mind me posting this, apologies if you do and no offence caused if it's removed. Sounds a good night and hopefully work permitting, I can get over.

Penny Arcade?

If true, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, have they endorsed Ally as our next manager. If it is so close then surely they'd have given the greenlight?
-
You try your recommendations first and let me know how you get on.
-
They should send some letters to Murray, he's the problem, imo.

To progress our defence has to make massive improvements. Or we could just go for it and attack everything since our strength is now up front whereas previous seasons our defence had been our strength.
