Why don't we just move Ibrox to NI and be done with it? -
Ibrox seating redevelopment

Naughty..naughty... -
I've just been reading on another site that someone has spotted new red, white and blue seats outside Ibrox? Does this mean a red, white and blue facelift of Ibrox? Not sure about this tbh. I like the all blue and think a R/W/B look would be somewhat OTT and quite tacky. On top of that, white seats will age quickly IMO And why no black seats?

I'm with you Juancornetto. Spence never misses an opportunity to have a back handed dig at Rangers and let's face that's what this was. So Scottish football is all lovely dovey this season? Why this season pray tell? Oh that's right...big bad Rangers are not there... So what is he basing this outpouring of togetherness on? One tweet from one club to another? The guy is a desperate little irrelevance -

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Max Rebo's Big Blue Nose replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Take us into Europe? Sorry mate buts that miles away at the mo. We need to get back to basics and change our entire philosophy. With regards to building teams, I agree it can be done in a short period of time but my point wasn't about building a team but more about building an ethos at our club that will only benefit us, year in year out. And it's clear to anyone with a pair of eyes that Ally isn't following the philosophy I'm taking about. I would go as far as saying most of our opposition this season have shown more of those qualities than we have. -

I think this biggest worry for me is that IMO we have been given a unique opportunity "handed" to us. We find oursleves with a blank canvas. We are starting from scratch. We are at square one... you get the picture. I would have thought that this period more than any other time in our history was the time to rip up the blueprint and start again. This was the time to install an new footballing ethos into our club from the youth teams to the top teams, not rehash old tactics and mindsets. If you look around the footballing world there are plenty of young imaginative managers that stick by their guns and adopt a philosophy of football based on ball renetion and quick passing on the deck. This is what we need to develop at our club. We need a new footballing identity that will keep fans on board and get them back through the turnstyles To see our keeper and defenders lump long speculative balls to big strikers one year on from the shambles of last season is nothing short of staggering IMO -
I've never got the idea of a "unified" support. Surely the fanbase is a democracy of sorts and there will always be a varying opinions

Fair doos Bluedell but we never had red anywhere near our home strip for 106 years. I never really understood it's introduction in 78?
-
Red on the away strip is fine with me. That 61 strip is a belter but I personally hate red anywhere our home top. I think that should remain all light royal blue or the said blue with white detailing Great article BTW. Love the colour pic of the game.
-
I hear what you are saying but this is were I probably differ from many fans on here. Rangers are my football team and I will always try and to get to as many games as I can but I will be honest they are not a "way of life" to me. They are one aspect of my life but I don't think I could go as far as to say that they are a way of life. If that makes me less of a fan then so be it but I suppose we are all different
-
What colour is their strip?
-
Good points all round on here but to refer to the OP, you have to ask why fans in NI specifically asked about an orange strip. Why not banana yellow or salmon pink? They're flashy colours also... At the end of the day they asked because they feel that their Orange heritage is intrinsically linked with their connection with Rangers. Fair doos but is that a good enough reason to bring out a strip that pays tribute to one section of our fanbase? I genuinely still think this isnt about a colour, it's about context And anyone justifying an orange strip to just "get it up them". Feek that. We should never do anything to just get it up them. Anything we do should be about us and for us

Rangers invite Linfield (and others) for a friendly
Max Rebo's Big Blue Nose replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
With all due respect to Linfield, this doesn't really fill me with much excitement.... -
Sounds like a plan. I genuinly think a white strip with a 6 pointed blue star would be amazing and with Adidas hopefully getting on board it would look quite classy. A bit like the Swansea strip but with light blue trim and detailing http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/image-4-for-new-swansea-city-kit-gallery-gallery-519084547.jpg On the beer front...do you like the Brooklyn Brewery range of lagers/beers?

Cheers Govan. Sam Adams? I used to travel a lot to NY and that was my tipple of choice out there. Lovely stuff With regards an e-mail to CG, my first port of call would be to stop messing around our feekin socks. The other night we wore blue and and white (why oh why?) and for the bulk of this season we have worn red and white. IMO we should always wear our red and black socks at all times. They are the things that make our strip distinctive and are there as a tribute to our origins. When we don't wear them our strip is rendered as a plain boring blue strip (like Everton) While you're at it Charles I would also love a black and red striped away jersey (like the old Rangers Swifts) and maybe an all white with a blue star. For me that would be the holy trinity of Rangers strips

Listen guys. Thanks for a great debate regarding Rangers and orange strip. There have been some great posts on either side of the debate and that's a tribute to this forum as it wouldn't be allowed on other forums ie. Rangers State Media. Anyway... maybe 2 bottles of red supplied by Mr Wolfblass may have clouded my posts somewhat and I was probably OTT. (sorry anyone?) It's just somehting that I felt strongly about and personally I wish we would tap into other aspects of our history as opposed to going down the orange route. But hey...
