  1. I know it kinda looks that way, but surely, surely they're not that stupid? They'd have zero credibility left as a Board. I'm not even sure they can afford the severance package. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. He says there is "no victory" for the UOF winning something the Board had already committed not to do and then a few hundred words later he's calling it a capitulation! Almost every poster on Gersnet can write more eloquently and make a more cogent argument than he can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It's the difference between a legal claim on the assets in the event of insolvency and a (seemingly) binding commitment not to choose to use those assets as collateral or sell them in future. Two very different things and as the Board wouldn't be in control if there was an insolvency event, the type of commitment on offer would be worthless in that scenario. As I'd hoped, the UoF seem to have dragged the Board to the table by their actions and assuming the terms are robust, this would be as good an outcome as I think the UoFs were realistically likely to get. I'd like to see them complete this negotiation quickly, issue a statement urging fans to buy season tickets and then move on to the real business of making fan influence work via a substantial shareholding in the club. Now, if the Board want the other 10-15k supporters back, they might need to sack Ally. Wonder if that's being discussed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Perhaps, belatedly, the Board are realising that platitudes & appeals to the loyalty of the support won't cut it any more. Frustrating that it's taken so long though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'm becoming concerned. That's the second time recently that I've agreed with virtually every word Keith Jackson has said in one of his pieces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. 4th October is Yom Kippur - the day of atonement. Seems vaguely fitting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That's what I find annoying. 2nd gear won't be sufficient next season. Hopefully the players will realise that from day one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Daly needs to spend the summer running up and down them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hmm, he can't pick a pass, can't shoot, isn't quick, shirks tackles when by reputation he was supposed to be fearsome and he spends a large portion of his game time sitting on his backside pretending he's injured. I wouldn't even agree that his control is that great, so I don't see the technical player you do. However, to be fair to the guy, he hasn't had a regular run of games in his favoured position and he did improve towards the end of the season, especially in the Cup Semi. No great loss if he goes though IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. For the record, I actually like the Club Deck despite the relative lack of atmosphere. if I do move it'll probably be to one of the half way line seats which Gunslinger referred to earlier as being regularly available on matchday. TBH, we've actually just gone and sat there most games recently anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Lol, I'm very time poor mate! Most weeks you'd see me running past the wee Rangers club 5 minutes before KO. I'm sure I could make pay as you go work if necessary, but I suspect I'd get frustrated with it very quickly. For me the main and very real risk, is that the shareholders we'll eventually need to buy out and who have no love for our club, will have more rather than less control as a result. I think the RST holding for example will end up considerably diluted by the 41m shares which the Board have said they'd issue if ST sales are down. Also, I'm really not convinced that the Board do want to sell Ibrox. However, they may be lying of course, and ironically, Rangers 1972 may actually make it easier for them to get the required shareholder backing for that course of action. On my individual seat, you're right. I'm towards the back of the Clubdeck at the Copland end and there were plenty of empty seats around me most games this year. It was a bond seat originally, but a move would actually be a positive outcome. I'll sleep on it one more time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It's more a question of what he's asking me to risk to help secure it GS. I'm not convinced that the balance of risk and reward is in the Club's favour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. It's true that very few other businesses could show such utter disregard for the views of their customers and survive for long. My gut fee is that holding off and doing nothing for now is the worst of all possible worlds - DK doesn't get the leverage and the Board will issue discounted shares to "selected" investors. 14. I'm going away for a while which means that Saturday is my only real opportunity to renew direct before the deadline. So I've been wrestling with the dilemma of what's best for the Club in the long term. Not going because of the quality of football simply isn't an option for me. Paying game by game is way too much hassle. Delaying until later in the Summer doesn't sit well with me. Now is not the time for fence sitting as it won't help resolve the current impasse. So, do I sign up for Dave's plan in hope rather than expectation that it succeeds? Well, I don't think they'll get security over the Club's main assets, but I do think they could force the Board into a more conciliatory stance. The trouble is that there is massive risk attached to that option. I genuinely don't think many fans realise just what a lottery another insolvency event would be. There's absolutely no guarantee that the good guys win this time and even if we do avoid admin two, it's likely that the shareholders we distrust will strengthen their hold on the club in the process. Or, do I swallow my pride, ignore the gaffs, the ham fisted emotional blackmail, the cringeworthy statements, missed opportunities, dubious personalities and unknown beneficial owners and trust those who patently have not earned it yet? It goes against the grain, but I suspect that the worst excesses and failings of the previous Board won't be repeated. Ultimately, it's safer in the short term and we live to fight another day if the Board don't deliver. Not easy, but I'm leaning towards the "safe" option. Anyone care to persuade me that I'm misguided? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You've hit the nail squarely on the head Frankie. The Board clearly think the right thing to do is tough it out, but the absence of even rudimentary levels of engagement and / or compromise on their part is baffling as well as infuriating. It really didn't need to come to this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Not easy (and not in a positive way either), but it's between McLeod, Black and Wallace for me. On the basis that Wallace was our most consistent attacking option in the first half of the season, he wins my vote.
  17. That would be me BH. I couldn't vote using Tapatalk, but have done it the old fashioned way now.
  18. Good news for a change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
