    some interesting points, and a subject worth keeping on top of! I'd say if the club were to go solo outside the UK, they would be cutting off exposure to non-rangers fans, as it would be easier to let other people access it through an established provider. That said, how much would non-gers fans miss out on? is there even a market there? what about if we signed another foreigner that had his own personal fan-base... I mean, how many supporters clubs have popped up because of players we have signed? e.g. Arthur Numan, Michael Mols...

    i know we shouldn't, but when you compare the sums that c*lt*c have received for some of their fringe players... and how much we over-pay for some players 500k is ridiculous! decent early 20s striker from championship = �£3~4m decent early 20s midfielder from rangers (who cut it at championship level) = �£0.5m Don't need to name names... but alan gow could fall into this bracket too!

    I've heard the �£600k figure quoted... If we had tried to sign him, we'd have had to pay treble that probably! Good luck to the boy tho, must be hard staying at motherwell after everything he's gone through there, good chance at a fresh start!

    Forgot about G Smith and Velicka... Beasley i dont see recovering to win back his place... but even losing those players, once we get it down to 20 or so, we still have to move someone on to strengthen. Like S_A says, would like to see centre-half in there... and wide players would be useful... Forgot to add Webster... and would Aaron count in the 28??

    so if we are losing 8 players... name them? 1. Hemdani 2. Dailly 3. McCulloch? 4. Ferguson? Who else could we "lose" while replacing with youngsters? I normally think of 1st team squad as 2 full teams... Think advocaat had a "nike day" where it was home vs away, and both teams were strong enough to compete in SPL... would adam and smith be on the list? perhaps would be easier to name the 20 "keeps"?

    Think the commentator mentioned him scoring in the french cup final despite Renne losing... I assume thats where he is now! Amazing how well the yanks have done to turn around a disasterous tournament into a legendary one (from their perspective!)

    My appologies! i meant "wins" missed a letter there! changed the sense of what i was saying! was referring to the rounds that we won with some epic hero defending! would hate to be accused of being like them. sadly we ran out of steam to win the final... thanks in part to the spl...

    Watched the game last night, and ended up supporting the USA... reminded me so much of our uefa cup win! the defending was bremen-esque! I was impressed with the American captain at LB, B-something-or-other, as well as the obvious midfielders: donovan, dempsey and bradley. Also saw America in their game against Italy, and although he looks very raw and inexperienced, the big boy altadore up front impressed. Initially I thought he was just a rash emile heskey, until i learned he was 19! With the right guidance could be a cracking lone striker, and did well to create the chance for his goal!

    If everything is in euros, does that mean it will be beneficial for us? or will we have accounts in euros? i guess it means getting screwed over in terms of buying players... just remembered it along with the fact that if cuellar had a 10m euros release fee, would be more than 8 mil now right?

    hopefully eck will sort us out, as he will have "money to burn" (an extra �£500k would make diff for us, but not so much for them!) kinda like martin o'neill did with maloney... a million quid for a player who was going to leave for free in a few months is a joke!!

    It's not really gobbing off - he's stated fact. "Tony is a fantastic manager" - he'll know that from personal experience. But he also knows that Walter is too both from his personal experience and Walters track record. He then said that we have the edge as we are champions and its up to them to knock us from there - just like last year I'm sure he will have said celtic have the edge but its up to us to peg them back. If you are worried about players giving celtic ammo, look no further than everyones golden child of the moment: Nacho Novo. His mouthing off is much worse (fun to hear) but must rile them up just as much, if not more so. I always put it down to them being bad losers and worse winners. I would have hoped for more (public) grace in victory from a Rangers team/player. (I'm probably alone in those thoughts though...)

    Just looking at 3 stands absolutely jammed when there wasn't even a game on - just a welcome home for winning the league. Amazing makes you wonder what taking the uefa cup home would have been like... think "every other saturday" might have a slight under-estimate in there! :spl:
