  1. I don't think they pay a lot of Money in Belgium as a lot of their top players end up in Holland and Holland don't pay that well apart from maybe Ajax and in the past PSV. Just a bit of useless information the city of Eindhoven council bought the ground under the Philips Stadium and PSV training complex for a total of 48.8 million euro's today otherwise PSV would have been technically bankrupt. The city of Eindhoven council are taking a loan to pay for it and PSV are paying the Interest for the rental of the facilities.
  2. Thanks Bob:D
  3. I really pissed myself laughing when I was reading a Dutch website today. Lior Refaelov claimed : I don't think anyone told him that Rangers or Celtic could fill the Brugge Stadium twice every week and that one of the teams he turned down holds the world record for League championships and will be playing in the champions League next season. I have never been to Bruge so I can't say whether it is better than glasgow but the rest sounds as if he has been sold shite by his agent. http://www.clubbrugge.be/en/nieuws/bericht/7053/Lior-Rafa-Refaelov-Fantastic-Club-audience
  4. I hope it is agreed at the weekend and he signs on Monday.
  5. That also has another side to the coin, if the player turns out to be crap you are stuck with them for 4 years. Anyone remember Winston Bogarde at Chelsea. He used to turn up to training in his bath slippers and just sauntered about until the training was finished and then went home. If he did not turn up for training he would have been in breech of contract.
  6. Jelavic McGregor and possibly Davie Weir should be on top money at ibrox the rest should be in a group behind them.
  7. I don't think you can compare a midfielder with a striker. If a striker does nothing but scores 2 goals then he has made a difference and is made a hero. Kris Boyd is testament to that. I agree Edu has to show more consistency but I think he has also showed he is a good player. Stevie Davis didn't play well for a lot of the season but I don't hear people joying that an offer may come in for him. Funny how they both came on to form once Walter took the shackles off and gave Edu and Davis somebody in an advanced position to pass to. Maybe the answer lies in that area.
  8. You missed Walter should not be allowed to finish the season he should be sacked immediately.
  9. Agree with you, Edu was one of our best players in the run in to Number 53 and was starting to come on to his game at the end of this season. In the 3-1 win against the tims he was also one of our best players. I will be disappointed if he leaves to be honest.
  10. Murray had all these dreams as well but he could only talk the talk. Lets hope the new team can actually get something done to improve our global sales and redevelop the stadium for other uses. Having it lying dormant all week really is a total waste of space and money.
  11. Freak! xxl rules ya bass.
  12. I will be totally honest Cal I remembered that from a post by you a number of years ago so I stole your thunder. For that I apologise.
  13. I think you also have to add that the Gersnet allows everyone to have an opinion even if we do not all agree. Obviously if you have an outspoken opinion it will be challenged but as long as it is debated in a civil manner then you are free to speak your mind. That makes the Gersnet special in my opinion
  14. The price of gold at this moment is 31.000 pounds per kilo. Given that McGregor is around 90 kilo's that would make him worth only 2.790.000 pounds. I think we should look for more.
  15. Yes agree. I actually also found Frank Mulholland pretty vague in all of his answers. When asked a whether someone could get arrested for singing GSTQ he answered i can't answer that as it is a Hypothetical question but then goes on and gives a hypothetical answer of a Rangers supporter running across the pitch to the Celtic fans and singing it, it may be an offence. Surely that is already an offence covered by the current laws. It would seem to me the whole bill is geared up to leave a stigma on a persons criminal record of being a football bigot rather than have a breach of the peace offence on it which would be deemed to be of lesser value. When asked if other examples other than sectarian singing could be added to the bill he then said I will need time to study that fact and will give the committee a written statement. Surely it is he that is trying to push the bill through and should have already have studied all the different scenario's I also believe he wouldn't give an answer to the question if anyone in a closed group where all are like minded could be arrested. Again he answered I will need to think about it and will give a written report. I also loved the convener's reaction to his answer on how you could be arrested on the journey to a football game if you are not intending to go to the game. She looked quizzed and said something like it has been a long day.
  16. I keep hoping I am going to wake up and all this sectarian bill thing has just been a bad dream.
  17. Better leaving her sitting in Bermuda.
  18. I hope so but I think Rangers are making it quite clear he will not be for sale.( Unless funny money comes on offer)
  19. Personally I think he will come for 1.5million although it is a bit frightening that players would rather play for Cardiff in the English second tier than Champions League Football with Rangers.
  20. No never had that mate with the stream I now use although I used to get that with Jason tv? (or something like that) I will PM you shortly. I did have a stream cut short though recently due to authors rights.
  21. The transfer window is just open and everybody is on holiday. Things will start to pick up in the coming weeks.
  22. I actually find the streams pretty good considering. I don't know if the fact my computer and video card are just a few months old helps but I normally have pretty decent coverage.
  23. I don't know if I am going to be shocked with the level of debt we have when announced but Whyte does seem to be getting things going.
  24. Many said that Kris Boyd could never be replaced but I think we will all agree that he has been to the benefit of the team. The same will happen with Walter. He will be replaced and hopefully we will see in Europe that we do not have to give our opponents 90% of the playing field. As I have said before I can understand that against Barca and Manu etc you automatically get pushed back, but against PSV it was just a lack of confidence on the Managers part that kept us on the back foot. Walter picked his tactics to suit other teams instead of letting Rangers dictate the play and for that reason I am also glad he is gone. I only hope Ally is the right man for the job.
  25. As far as I know it has been put on hold until a later date. he was supposed to appear at Livingston court in February but the trial was put back to a yet unknown date.I would imagine the Police are finding it hard to get a case against him and will drop the charges. Just a guess though.
