  1. Rangers debt is now said to be down to 27 mill after qualification for the CL. That would make the 33mill Ellis bid as debt cleared and Murray taking his 6 mill buy out money back. I doubt he will walk away with nothing.
  2. I logged on and then forgot all about it so too many missed weeks also beat me.
  3. I am still sure Dave King will be the next owner. It is very possible Ellis is acting as his front man to keep it from the SARS.
  4. Strange all the Rangers men won't make a move in case they get hit with a 20mill tax bill and Ellis who has no proven fortune is ready to go. Something funny somewhere .
  5. Totally agree as long as he would play his best for Rangers and be totally professional i would be happy to leave those prehistoric values behind us.
  6. 80 million for Ronaldo was madness but as the saying goes "the price is what a fool is willing to pay."
  7. Sorry, because i don't think he would come to sit in our reserves i assumed you meant not now but maybe in the future. The James McFadden scenario entered my head when we could have bought him for little and let Everton make a good profit on him
  8. I will wait for the answers Henry McLeish comes up with in his review of Scottish Football before i am so positive. If he sparks an improvement in coaching at all levels including the grass roots of the game, better facilities and more grass parks.(Although the way forward may be artificial pitches even in the prof game.) Only then do i feel Scottish football will make a huge step forward. Holland are actually going back to the very basics of what i can remember in Scotland when i was young and that is the play street. This won't be a street anymore as we had, but areas where kids can play street football. They are planning to put in a fenced off area with a fall friendly street surface and goals to bring the kids back to playing street football.
  9. If he is one for the future then we should get him now. Why wait to we have to pay Cardiff etc a few million?
  10. That is what makes me wary of a 16-18 team league. The level of skill becomes too stretched as teams that are working on the budget of a kitchen for the homeless, can only compete by being physical.
  11. Agree but can we afford to knock-back the millions it is said to be on offer. I doubt it.
  12. I definitely don't think Alexander is as athletic as McGregor and certainly won't pull off these fantastic top corner saves. In saying that McGregor is far more prone to make mistakes than Alexander. The sum that has to be worked out is does McGregor's top corner saves outnumber his blunders. In the last few weeks his blunder count has taken an upsurge. In saying that when a good shot comes in i do have more confidence in McGregor.
  13. Is it Ken Dodds and the diddy men?
  14. I was just too young to remember him but another i remember my father talking about as a Rangers great. RIP Sammy! Condolences to his family.
  15. Totally agree if Bougherra does go then it is up to other players to fill in the gap he leaves. If he has to keep looking back then there is no point in giving him that freedom. As for the penalty. Was anyone confident that Miller would score with his normal club foot shots at goal. I wasn't. Novo also gives me the jitters with his penalties that just manage to cross the line without hitting the back of the net. Full confidence in Boyd he has a perfect penalty technique although he will miss one now and again.
  16. What a shame to be Champions without playing. As long as we are the champs i suppose.
  17. I was watching the Motherwell game and i am sure the announcement was 28.???.
  18. I would play Wilson at Left back, most central defenders can turn their hand to full back. He is match fit where Broadfoot and Smith aren't.
  19. Agree with Danny in that nobody is above criticism. This is also a forum where people have the right to express their opinion. If you don't agree with them is no reason to say they are wrong. Their opinion is just different to what your opinion is. For what it is worth my opinion of why Rothen was dropped was his inability to track back and defend against an up coming full back. It happened in many league games before the Unirea game but the Unirea defeat was a shocker for Rothen. He was caught ball watching instead of defending on a number of occasions. He did not produce enough going forward to make up for his poor ability to track back and defend.
  20. The post i loved best stated we have only one more embarrassment to endure this year and then the season is over. No points in guessing what that embarrassment is.
  21. Brings Darkness into the equation and the tims like sneaking about in the shadows of darkness. I would say trying to get fans separated in the dark is worse than a bank holiday.
  22. It was McGregor that caught my eye as i was screaming "What are you doing ya nutcase":) If he had covered the front post then Weir could have closed down the player on the ball. I can't really remember the build up so i will agree with your versions on that.

    TBO tonight

You really are becoming a big softy MF. Just kidding, You are totally right, the time and money these people put in is above and beyond the call of duty. Well done guy's.
  24. Personally i have no idea why McGregor just didn't cover the near post and let Davie Weir sort out the problem. The Aberdeen player was moving away from goal and could never score from the angle. Total blunder in my eyes just interested in other opinions.
  25. In Holland the party is always in the centre of town as in say George square but i suppose that is not possible with Rangers and Celtic both playing in Glasgow.
