  1. McCulloch up front will probably mean we are going for the long ball option. Rich in strikers my ass.

I would have no problem with the Rangers\Celtic side of it. I just don't think he is good enough.
  3. I can actually understand why they banned it. Rangers as a football team don't want to be portrayed as a club with enemies. The Dublin enemy issue could give fuel to those people who are just waiting to shoot us down. There is no point in saying Rangers are doing nothing to make the media more positive about us,and then give the media fuel to shoot us down. Gerry McNee even said that us singing "if we go to Dublin"was bigoted. That is ridicules of course but just goes to show they will try and hit us for virtually anything.
  4. Sad to hear that a Falkirk team had far more possession than us. we really need a dominant central midfielder.
  5. I don't think this game will be played in an area of the field that will suit Boyd. Boyd is a penalty box striker and personally i don't see us being able to pressurise Pana into the last third of the field. We need someone who can hold onto the ball to bring the midfield into play. Super sub for me.

Never!!! Never!!! The guy wasn't good enough first time round. He couldn't score at Parkhead when they had a league winning team. Sack Smith before we sign him.
  8. Saturday, 9 February 2008 -------------------------------Time------TV Dundee United v Hibernian------12:30-----*** Hearts v Gretna----------------15:00 Motherwell v Kilmarnock--------15:00 Rangers v Falkirk---------------15:00 St Mirren v Inverness CT------- 15:00 Sunday, 10 February 2008 Aberdeen v Celtic--------------14:00 Dundee Utd have been showing good form of late with an excellent win 4-1 against Aberdeen in the CIS cup. They have have lost probably their best player with Robson going to the dark side and also have a good few injury doubts including Lee wilkie. Hibs may put new signing colin Nish in from the start but their biggest problem is the late fitness test of rob Jones. The Hibs defence will be much weakened if Jones is ruled out. I still fancy UTD for this one even without Robson. Dundee utd win. Hearts and Gretna have been much improved of late with both clubs picking up points. Hearts seem to be getting back on track now that mad Vlad has given Steve Frail the reigns in his hands. Gretna made many signings in the transfer window and will be hoping they gel in quickly.A bit of an unknown quantity this one through the form and new players of Gretna and the unpredictable Hearts season. Under normal circumstances Hearts should win. Hearts win. The big surprise at Fir park will be if the pitch is playable. If the game goes ahead then i would expect Motherwell to beat a Killie team who sold their best player without adding to their team. If Gretna keep up their good form Killie could be staring degradation in the eye in a few weeks. Motherwell win. Rangers get a visit from Falkirk who have lost their last two league games against Gretna and Celtic. Falkirk have given all teams a problem over the last few years and we will have to hit form to beat them. Whittaker is fit after an ankle knock and cousin can still play for us but the chances of that happening are slim as Rangers won't risk him getting injured.Fifa should have made a ruling on this day's ago. A ridiculous situation for a world organisation. If we want to win the league then these games must be cattle fodder for us. they never are! Rangers win. Inverness go to Love street to meet st Mirren. St Mirren lost to Rangers last time round but they were the better team until Rangers scored and they had a man sent off. The two games before saw them beating Motherwell and Hibs. Inverness had the Craig Brewster effect but that has been slowly diminishing. I will go for the Saints to keep up there good form and to win at home. St Mirren win. Sunday.... Aberdeen v celtic at Pittodrie is always a game we look to to see the tims dropping points. The fact is they rarely do. I don't see aberdeen posing a threat to them, but we live in hope. Celtic win.

    Taxi!!!

The top news of the last few weeks was the naming of George Burley as the Scotland manager. Well the SFA did what they said they would do, and give us Burley, a big name manager. If they promised a small name manager we would have got Steven Frail I suppose. Thank god Little and large didnt apply. The next big thing was the transfer window with Rangers selling Alan Hutton possibly against his will for eight million pounds. There was a young player for Tottenham, For the cash the Rangers got shot of em , One day hell return, Like the prodigal son, For the Gers fans wont have forgotten em. Fulham had a Fairy tale Window. They went for a King and ended with a Cousin, who is a frog. Now they are waiting for a kiss from F(airy) ifa to bring the deal to life. After all the promises of bringing in new players only Steve Davis was brought in to Ibrox. Oh well, we will be all right if we need snookers at the end of the season. Over at the piggery they went to Japan to bring in Koki Mizuno. Celtic think they have found a Jap in the market. Word has it they thought they were getting another Japanese player but wee Gordies dyslexia got in the way. They thought they were getting a Samurai but ended with a Samaras. Hopefully their Japanese warrier will turn into a Greek tragedy They also brought in a German to strengthen their Leaky defence. Strachen was reported to say nothing can stop a leak like a Jerry can. Up at Pittodrie the Dons brought in Dave Bus. Seemingly Jimmy Calderwood crapped himself he thought they had signed a coach. Bus couldnt get into the Graafschap team because of Cerezo Fung a Wing. I wonder if it was Bus that lossed a wing? Taxi!!!

    Reserves

Amdy Faye- stand out and fast tempo. Must be a misprint.
  11. I think he is. Walter actually fancied Boyd more but he knocked him back. Well thats that puzzle solved.
  12. I feel just as young as i look. :admin: :fish:
  13. Na she gets fucked every time.
  14. I would have preferred the summer signing option as i do think huttons attacking influence will be sadly missed. In our team of little attacking imagination we have probably sold the one player who did have a little different. I can't help feeling rangers decided to move using the smoke of Whittaker scoring two goals which will ease the pressure from the fans. Rangers will make a statement on Friday they did their best to bring players in but failed due to the short time they had. Then most of the 13mill will disappear down the same road as the 18 mill sponsorship deal we had.
  15. Technically he is far superior to Boyd. If he gets as many goals remains to be seen. I certainly don't remember him as a lazy player in fact it was his movement off the ball that gave Huntelaar so many chances. I don't know why but i had a feeling we would go for him.
  16. I said before a fit JCD is like a multi=million signing. He really has been excellent in the time he has played.
  17. Whittakers first goal was with the left peg and his second with the right. Most players wouldn't dream of hitting the ball with their wrong foot and start twisting and turning to try and get a shot in.Good to see. Thanks for the film Del.

    Thomas Buffel

I agree with Gribz on one thing that Buffel is not and never will be a left winger. If you play him there he will disappear. He has to be playing through the middle to get the best out of him. Eck had him mostly on the left wing and PLG never played him.
  19. Saturday, 26 January 2008 Aberdeen v Hearts, 15:00 Hibernian v Gretna, 15:00 Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd, 15:00 Motherwell v Inverness CT, 15:00 Rangers v St Mirren, 15:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, 27 January 2008 Falkirk v Celtic, 14:00 Aberdeen Hearts looks like a draw to me. Hibs v Gretna well there is a game i would have betted on Hibs a few games ago but Hibs have been rank and Gretna have found a new burst of life. I am still going for the Hibs win though. Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd Utd have signed Mark de Vries as far as i know and i think he will be a handfull for the Killie defence. That added to the form of Barry Robson makes dundee the favourites for me. Motherwell v Inverness The Caley new manager effect, has ground to a hault after their run of good form. Motherwell should be far too strong for them at Fir park Rangers v St Mirren. We are coming in to a run of home games whereas the tims are on the road for three games. Lets hope we win all our home games and the tims drop some points.Rangers to win. Well there's a surprise. Falkirk v Celtic. i still think the tims will be too strong for Falkirk who have been pretty crap recently. We can only hope they pick this game to return to form. celtic will win by a country mile.
  20. Yes he does! No he doesn't! Yes he does! No he doesn't! Yes he does! No he doesn't!

    Thomas Buffel

Just read on a Dutch site that he is desperate to leave but no clubs are interested at the moment because he has been out for a year. He can't understand Rangers not releasing him as it will cost a capital to keep him on the sidelines. He said the manager has told him he is in his plans but he has heard that story before and doesn't put much value on the promise.
  22. Smart move if we can pull him back in a crisis situation.
  23. Gow looked excellent in the first half and should be worth a start. Buffel should also get more playing time. We cannot replace his class for 1.5mill. What a goal by McCulloch. Adam or him for the left spot? No contest McCulloch wins it hands down.
  24. Well they could be attached. Hugh janus. Look more closely and say it quick.
