From Chelsea only that I or my dad have seen play; Hughie Gallagher, George Graham, Ian Britton, David Hay (yes i know!), Pat Nevin, Eddie McCreadie, Gordon Durie, Joe McLaughlin, David Speedie, Steve Clarke, Craig Burley, John Spencer, Robert Fleck (biggest let down) Billy Gilmour (the future) and my dads favourite Charlie Cooke. Some hit and miss at club and country level, but i feel most would improve the current squad.

SPFL Season declaration challenged legally (ongoing discussion)

I doubt it. They will soon close ranks again. -
Chelsea legend. 132 goals in 157 apps, 13 hat-tricks for Chelsea, scoring all four goals in a 4–3 win against Nottingham Forest in his last game giving him 41 goals in 40 league games.

I think the latter, consistency, ratio and number of goals all together for me over a one season wonder.

Interesting. Derek Johnstone at centre half? I know he played there occasionally, but thought he was predominantly a striker. He was when he signed for Chelsea in 1983.

I'm 53 also and i wouldn't disagree with any of your choices. Imagine if SG had these players at his disposal !!!

There would be uproar if Liverpool were awarded the title down south even though they way in front. -
I always felt sorry for the guys that won, then Jim would reveal a small speed boat, that would be really useful on the estate!!

He was born in Glasgow, but subsequently lived in Ardrossan

Not experienced those views on here as i posted another BG thread a few threads below this one and the views were supportive of a young fellow Glaswegian doing well, with maybe an understandable wish that he had remained another season or so, on loan maybe - especially if he hadn't broken into the Chelsea 1st team so early.

Was at the game yesterday and saw Gilmour at close quarters. His main ability is his quick feet and passing accuracy. He is able to turn quickly where larger opponents are left flat footed and unable to react. I can see him emerging into a Paul Scholes type player that is box to box and will add goals to his game as he matures and becomes more confident in being part of the 1st team. If i was Scotland boss i'd build the team around him, as you say there isnt another as good as him in the Scottish squad.

That's their season in a nutshell - shoddy defending.

Now we are fucked!!!!

He was great, pass and move and good positioning. Well deserved MoM.

FIFA have been proved to be, and Platini's reign at UEFA cast a shadow over that organisation as well. -
Well that's that then

I wouldn't touch Allardyce with a shitty stick. If we are playing this game, then Sean Dyche would be another matter. I agree with earlier poster that it's more likely that SG would walk rather than him being sacked.

Chelsea's 18 year old Scottish midfielder has now moved up to the first team full time. From Chelsea Website: Glaswegian Gilmour, who joined Chelsea from Rangers in 2017 and has been capped up to under-21 level for his country. "It's the first big step I think, moving into the first team dressing room at a club like Chelsea," said Gilmour. It's a pity Rangers couldn't have loaned him back for this season but good luck to him going forward for both the Blues and Scotland. Any views?

I still think the squad is on the thin side, something that can hopefully be addressed in pre season. We are reliant on a few key players and when some are unavailable the team struggles. On Talsport today people were saying that Morelos should be sold to fund 3 quality players that would strengthen the team further, one of them being a new striker.

Yes we seem now to be a bunch of weaklings and people moaning if anyone stands up, shouts, etc etc. At lot just to prefer to sit quietly in their seats and hardly do/say anything # middle aged moan of the day
