  1. Bollocks. Would be terrible business if we did that having bought lafferty for similar money. Club is run by incompetents atm.
  2. Hopefully Boyd's problem with the terms is he only wants to represent Rangers!
  3. That's a good point. As much as many people like to point out how Miller hides Boyd's deficiencies, the spotlight on Miller will increase with Boyd no longer scoring Miller's share of the goals too.
  4. Some fans will be jumping through hoops looking at that!
  5. Dont really want Lafferty upfront anyway tbh. WOuld rather Naismith, Novo or would maybe we should look at that prolific goalscorer down at Birmingham, Boyd I think his name is!!!
  6. Well there goes my hope Boyd would tell them to shove it.
  7. Your quite right Cammy. BD I did stipulate one of the reasonsI wouldn't sell them is because of the likely fees involved, although perhaps what I had written did not come across as well. Yes for good money sell them, I don't believe we'll see bids of £5mil or more for any of them, but would happily sell for 3/4mil.
  8. For me Boyd would be on a list of players who we must not sell. Not because they are irreplaceable (sp). But because for what they bring to the team at they price they cost (in transfer and wages) and what we could realistically re-coup foor them it would make bad sense for financial and footballing reasons. The list would include: Boyd Mendes Bougherra Ferguson (we will not replace him with better and we will not get a decent fee for him) Davis Thomson (injured anyway) The detriment to our title push without bringing in a replacement of equal/better ability for the same money or less, of letting these players go would be foolhardy.
  9. No thanks.
  10. Yes, admittedly you shouldn't. I'm not so much making a judgement as a prediction. I do not see lafferty as having the attributes to be a success. If Boyd leaves, hopefully I am very, very wrong.
  11. You can make some assessment from what you have seen of him out on the left though. He is strongly one footed. When he came on against Celtic, every single time he tried to flick the ball back inside with the outside of his right boot and was robbed of the ball. He does not look particularly fast. He is not particularly good in the air. His composure in finishing appears reasonable although not in Kris Boyd's league. He does not have any discernable attributes that make him stand out from a run of the mill SPL striker. As such I would be suprised if he was much more effective uptop than he was LM.
  12. Honestly, do you see it?
  13. Naismith in CM again?
  14. Gribz/Pete, we're not saying that selling Boyd is the end of Rangers or anything so dramatic. What we are saying, is selling one of your key contirbutors halfway through the season is detrimental to your title charge. Why weaken your team when you are in the business of trying to win things. (see Alan Hutton). It's alright though, we'll sell all our best, most effective players and put guys liek Hemdani in the team, we might not be able to defend against St Johnstone with such foreign superstars in the team, but at least we'll look pretty while we get embarrassed!
  15. Cz Miller and Lafferty will be our first choice strikeforce!!!
  16. If Boyd helps them to the EPL and bags even 5-10 goals in the EPL for what will likely be a team trying to avoid relegation I think that would prove a few wrong about his scoring credentials. And when you look at run of the mill championship players going for fees in excess of £10mil, this is a disgrace.
  17. Terrible decision if true. Some clueless fans will be happy though. We can get another Kenny Miller for £2mil.
  18. Lol, touche BD.
  19. I assume Janko and his team are further through their season?
  20. Glad I avoided it too. Disgraceful looking to gain fame and fortune from the ills of someone you profess to care for. Lowlife scum.
  21. Unsuprisingly agree with the sentiments above.
  22. You can be quite a contradication at times Pete. A man who likes total football, composure, passing ability and possession football. And yet you decry Fergie for showing composure, keeping the ball if the right pass is not on, playing a patient game and retaining posession. You're also a massive Hemdani fan who is infinitely worse than Fergie for negative passing and not contributing to the defence with tackling and closing down of the opposition. He's not playing as well as he can, but he's still one of our better options atm.
  23. Quite agree to be honest. Even if you don't think they are that important, do you see Murray and Walter bringing in players of at least equal ability?
  24. It appears commen-sense, for the most part is prevailing here. Whilst in an ideal world perhaps football would only be played by technically and tactically gifted players. In reality the physical attributes, or lack thereof, of Hemdani means he would get terrorised by SPL attackers. Look at the trouble even Boogie and Weir can have with a physical striker and then imagine Hemdani!!!!
  25. Hartson seems fair to me, as much as you can expect from one of them anyway and better than Butcher.
