  1. I doubt very much that i know any more than you do. You can only assume either it was legal or no one wants to prove otherwise. We've seen with the other aborted prosecutions that judicial incompetence and prejudice were rife around this matter. It seems to me the Tickets scandal was exactly what you'd expect from a con man like Whyte but what I was talking about was how Whyte came to be in a position to make decisions like this in the first place. If you were a complete cynic you might think Whyte was a fox deliberately let into the hen house by people who knew he would be completely out of his depth and prone to temptation.
  2. Craig Whyte was and it seems still is a distraction. I find it very difficult to believe a chiseller like Whyte, with no significant track record in business to his name, can suddenly sidle up to Rangers and convince a man like David Murray that he's a credible buyer. That simply doesn't happen in the real world and certainly not to someone like Murray, who surrounds himself with such high-calibre corporate advisors that being 'duped" isn't even a possibility. I've been round those tables, albeit on a smaller scale, and I know the extent of the diligence that's conducted on people like Whyte - Murray would have known when Whyte took a piss, let alone how much money he had and where it came from. The only conclusion I draw about Craig Whyte is that, for whatever reason, he was willing to be a pawn in someone else's game, someone far beyond Whyte's pay grade. I imagine Whyte serves his purpose every time the spotlight is shone on him rather than the real culprits and it's worth considering that had he been convicted and jailed, the price of his ongoing silence would have soared. It's likely we'll never get near the truth of what went on but I think Whyte was the least of it.

  4. I can't understand why he wasn't sold two years ago
  5. I'll know more about what I think of this transfer window in May. At the moment what I think is it could be a few weeks before we start to see what's been achieved.
  6. In itself there's nothing wrong with this initiative but few will take it seriously because the club has done so little to address issues that go back many years. The club needs to understand it's not listening that's needed but actually doing something about what they hear.
  7. What’s his relationship with Dave King?
  8. Back shed?
  9. Maybe Sheff Utd fans are occasionally full of shit

  11. I've honestly never heard of it before. All I can say is there's some damned strange goings on in the shadows.
  12. Livingston 0 Rangers 2 FGS - Colak
  13. Side-shed, middle-shed, sheddies. I feel like I've entered another dimension where some kind of damned weegie chav talk has taken over 😆
  14. Just checked. Seems Spurs held their hands out for £155m last season. The EPL seems to be a league of rich beggars.
  15. The one I think you get wrong is Davies, who I think could prove to be the best of the lot.
  16. My point was that such comparison has no meaning while the funding disparity is so large. Given what Rangers has already achieved in Europe, what might we do with a bung of £130m every season. You might even turn this on its head and ask why Spurs (for example) has achieved so little with so much money? If Spurs and other EPL clubs had to earn their money like Rangers does, then you might be able to assess their achievement as a club.
  17. At the risk of appearing disrespectful, as good as he undoubtedly was, I hope Ridden Yilmaz is a better player than Sasa Papac.
  18. A side-shed? I suppose it's good to be learning new things, however pointless it might be.
  19. I think we might buy again if either we sell one of our better players (eg Kamara) or we qualify for the CL group stage.
  20. This has always been the attraction of cars. Despite all the inconveniences and costs of access, parking, congestion, etc you maintain more control over where, when and how you travel. Given the number of car owners, I'm clearly not the only one who wants this freedom.
  21. 👍 For me, the signs are that he wants to sign a new keeper but can't find one (so far).
  22. Any keeper playing for Rangers should be stopping shots but we can no longer afford the luxury of a keeper who won't come for high balls and whose distribution from hand or foot is so poor.

    Catering

That's probably who we need to bring in to run the catering. We're still in the era of macaroon bars and crisps.
  24. The goalkeeping position still seems unresolved and that can't be good. I like our number one to be a clear and stable choice but instead no one seems to know who owns the gloves. McGregor is clearly at the end of a wonderful career and prolonging his tenure just seems like dithering. McLaughlin looks like the one we should be elevating to first choice but it's far from obvious that's the case. The situation appears so messy that I'd rather we had brought in a new first choice keeper and ditched both of the current two.
