  1. It's an excellent facility right enough. The sort of thing it should be possible to find about Rangers, here or elsewhere.
  2. I quite like Kamara too, it's only his feckless football that I object to. Matondo hasn't just arrived, he's been here all season and has contributed nothing, especially on the very few occasions he's made it on to the pitch. I'm not so keen to jump on the Tillman bandwagon. He's often been excellent against lesser teams but has done almost nothing against Celtic or in Europe. £5m seems a lot when we need so many players and have so little money.
  3. Seriously, you'd keep Kamara, Matondo and Wright? And spend 5 or 6 million on Tillman?
  4. I might be in a minority but why would I want to visit Hearts or Aberdeen websites? My interest is purely Rangers and I've already excluded Gersnet forums from any criticism. All I'm saying is it's a pity the Gersnet main site used to offer excellent information but now offers the square root of zip. Is it unreasonable to think an established Rangers website like Gersnet might offer items of interest on Rangers - it used to so why abandon it?
  5. You have the advantage there, I never look elsewhere so my comment was based only on the changes I've seen here. Out of interest, what other sites have you been using?
  6. It's been on my mind for some time but, since I only really use Gersnet forums, the content of the main Gersnet site has never been of that much interest to me. That said, I can't help feeling it has deteriorated sharply in recent times. There used to be the wonderful facility to research past matches going back decades, or check details of current players, but that all seems to have gone. Player ratings (whatever that was) was introduced and then seemingly abandoned after a few weeks. I'd hazard that the site seems to have lost its way and it's hard to understand where it's going or what it's meant to offer. It's a shame to see it like this when so much more could be made of it.
  7. That could be a useful bit of ammunition.
  8. A midfield enforcer á la Souness would be on my list, the sort you'd be disappointed if he was only red carded twice a season and who would leave a trail of blood, mayhem and maimed in his wake. I wish I was joking.
  9. I don't understand why we so seldom use Arfield. As an attacking midfielder he's still as good as anyone (Cantwell excepted).
  10. That's been my solution for the last couple of seasons. I'm no longer up for a six hour round trip drive for every home game but at the same time I'm not going to give up my seats. The change I'd like to see is being able to transfer ST's to whoever you choose but I can't see that happening somehow. The stadium is short of 10,000 seats and that's always going to complicate the issue.
  11. Not enough is the honest answer. Currently, our best first team line up requires no fewer than 7 new faces who are all a considerable improvement on those they replace. Achieving that seems fanciful at best, given there is very little income to be had from selling any of the current squad. I feel the upshot is almost certainly another season when we won't win the title. I think the very best we can hope for are 2 good signings, plus 2 or 3 other who are a bit of a Tamundo type gamble.
  12. Schoolboy error.
  13. I thought Souttar showed hints of the player we thought we were signing. Another few games and we might see considerably more. For such an uninspiring overall performance I felt Tillman was the only one player who fell far below what he's capable of but our real problem is quite simple, we don't have enough players capable of delivering the quality of play we need to win trophies on a regular basis. Cantwell stood out again, as I suspect he will most weeks. He's the most influential signing of the last couple of years, head and shoulders above even Raskin.
  14. I think he has you know. They've not been great but at least they've been involved in the game. Tillman has been utterly anonymous.
  15. It's not a fullback's job to defend. At least it never has been before. Malik Tillman's first half performance has been a disgrace.
  16. I don't know where Tillman will play his football next season but he's playing like someone who has already decided it won't be with Rangers. He's been dreadful so far.
  17. Where does this back three stuff come from? You know it’s not going to happen. Souttar will replace Goldson in a very familiar 4. The questions are all in midfield and up front.
  18. Yup, about a 5% uplift on last year.
  19. It crossed my mind that Wilson has had to navigate a path through a succession of very inexperienced managers, who may well have contributed greatly to the situation we see today. The fact is the Rangers board, perhaps hampered by a lack of funds, has felt compelled to appoint managers with little or no experience of either player recruitment or building a squad within tight financial restrictions. It may well be that Wilson and Stewart have been guilty of indulging managers beyond what was wise, for fear of losing them.
  20. I don’t think we want wholesale changes but surely we can’t reach the end of the season without knowing if we just wasted all those £millions on Yilmaz. And there’s no way we will be spending the required amount on Tillman, so what’s the point playing him.
  21. Does the result last weekend open the door for some changes. Will Goldson be back? I think we need to give Hagi a confidence boost by starting him and ditto for Yilmaz. What do you think McGregor Tavernier - Souttar - Davies - Yilmaz Raskin - Jack Sakala - Cantwell - Hagi Colak
  22. I guess there are some fans who just need their fit of pique to get through the day.
  23. I think the fence is the only honest place to be. Curate's egg comes to mind? I'd need a lot more insight before I'd condemn or acquit.
